  1. Not all of them. There is a reason that mass manipulator generators used to sell for about 300k credits. In any case, the point is that the economy is an important part of the game. Runaway inflation is bad for economies, and it will hurt the game.
  2. Heh. It's for grad school. Believe me, I don't want to leave Socal!
  3. So all those crafted hilts I've payed for by buying the mats with credits and trading them to the crafter never existed?
  4. Yeah, I'm not buying your argument. Like I said, speedhackers should be punished. But this exploit will deal far more critical damage to the game very quickly if left unchecked.
  5. So many armchair developers in this thread. Sigh...
  6. I think their priorities are exactly in the right place. While speedhackers should be caught and punished, this exploit is much more urgent because it has the potential to very quickly destroy the game's entire economy and damage the game far more severely than it could be hurt by a relatively small number of speedhackers.
  7. Intended or not, this does seem like kind of an amazing gold seller honey pot. I hope BW uses this opportunity to take down some more of those rings.
  8. I don't mean to be overly harsh, but that attitude betrays an incredible lack of insight into how the economy of an MMO works. This exploit is not benefiting the gamer because allowing people to gain an essentially infinite supply of credits will utterly destroy the game's economy and ruin the experience for a helluva lot of people. Frankly, it's pretty damn obvious why this exploit needs to be squashed.
  9. They will probably care once they lose their credits and get banned.
  10. Is it noticeable to the point that you prefer to play on East Coast servers?
  11. Hi All, I live in Southern California and play on the Harbinger. Later this year, I will be moving to New York. I'm part of a guild that I like, and I would really prefer not to switch to an East Coast server when I move. That said, with server transfers currently very cheap, I would consider switching if latency is likely to be a problem. For those of you who live on the East Coast and play on the Harbinger, could you tell me about your experiences? Do you have problems with latency? Thanks!
  12. Welcome to you as well! And to all Harbinger newcomers! I think you'll like it here.
  13. What are you talking about? This exploit could potentially be used to generate an infinite (or whatever the max amount is) number of credits. Not addressing it would destroy the game's economy.
  14. Uh...presumably to warn all players not to use this exploit?
  15. I would imagine that as population levels drop, the game experience will be negatively effected for the Imp side as well.
  16. Keep in mind that Harbinger also includes many, if not most, of the Asia-Pacific players as well.
  17. Hi All, In the interest of attempting to track trends in server transfers, I thought it would be interesting to start a thread where people can document what server(s) they have recently moved to and from. Therefore, if you have or will soon be using the reduced server transfer fee to jump servers, tell us where you left from and where you're going below! Thanks!
  18. I don't know what percentage of the PVP population will see this thread, but I think the sentiment is a good one. I voted for the Harbinger, since that's where I currently reside.
  19. The Harbinger may be "notorious" for going down, but in reality it really doesn't happen very often.
  20. Yup, this is a welcome change. And it was based on player feedback no less!
  21. I agree with the others. I think it makes sense to do a server merge OR to deeply discount server transfers. It makes much less sense to do both.
  22. I'm on Harbinger and nobody ever told me about the cake!
