  1. Juggs are already by far the worst dps'ng tanks (single target) so there wouldnt be any reason to nerf them unless you just obliterated the damage output of Powertechs. (single target same gear there is almost a 500-800 dps difference while tanking and even more when off tanking). Almost every change made in 3.0 made jugg tanks worse than they were before relative to other tanks (NOTE THIS DOES NOT MEAN UNPLAYABLE, and fights where saber reflect works are still pretty #winning for Juggs). Moving the the AOE effect of crushing blow from smash OR sundering assault to ONLY aegis assault is a major QoL terror to tanking. Moving retaliation on the gcd and removing its rage cost is also a major nerf as before retaliation off gcd was really the only thing keeping jugg tank dps competitive with other tanks and its supposed benefit (rage) is a mute point because the spec is so ridiculously rage positive there isn't anything to do with it. Furthermore because of the scaling on jugg tanks, come two more tiers jug tanks will be so far behind in survivablity they again wont ever be used unless saber reflect is broken overpowered for a fight (right now the blade storm absorb shield is a significant portion of the lead in jugg survivablity but its poor scaling for tanks means come even NIM juggs will fall quite behind in livability while already being terrible in dps). Also did I mention how stupid unfair it is that juggs are the only tanks without major movement boosts in a set of instances as movement predicated as ever before... (on the subject 75% hydraulics is insane). As far as assassin's go, they still have slight issues with squish-factor as I might call it, while their actual ability set did not change or get modified in any way whatsoever making them imo extremely boring to play.
  2. So... I feel like I am a fairly decent healer, as far as having been able to do the now defunct df and dp num cycles, but I will confess the 60 hms have given me some interesting experiences. The first one I did (on my operative) was legacy of the rakata and perhaps it was because we really weren't being serious about ccs or whatever, but that was definitely the hardest healing I had done in this new tier and since prenerf tyrans. Most (trash) pulls were over 4k ehps and that bonus boss lol... We all were new to it and kinda ignored the mechanic apparently.( We assumed the mechanic was a heal check) so that fight I ended at 5200 ehps breathing really heavily. With that in mind however I have done numerous hm 60s since then and none have been remotely difficult in comparison so it makes me think that one fp we were doing something wrong. Also every spec in the game now has a number of defensive abilities and utilities, if you find yourself having issues, I would highly recommend figuring out the best way to use them. Finally I must say the first boss in the assault on tython hm has some mega major lag stuttering going on which makes him way harder that he would be if you could actually count on the game performing up to scratch. Edit: we also didn't know the blue circle mechanic on the last boss of legacy of the rakata untill we had lost two players and then that stupid wookee was getting us picked off and we killed it first try only due to a beautiful save / solo kill by our sniper while both he and the npc had blue circle.
  3. LOL @ DnT talking about how hard the new hard-modes are....
  4. Carry me? AWWWWWW I can't join if I need to be carried?!? NOT FAIR
  5. For mediocre dps the damage in level 60 ought to be fairly similar to the dps they had at lvl 55. For skilled dps, with very very few exceptions, one should expect to pull lower dps (in some cases up to 300-500 dps lower until full gear sets are farmed) than they did at 55 (exceptions being the really bad specs atm). No it won't be that much easier and it definitely won't be worth farming out for gear.
  6. Sorry to jump in here. Hatefull's dps check is laughable at best (lose less than 2 dps during the fight and you basically autowin with competent players) and the additional levels will allow less heal pressure in general. Some of the other fights are not so much the case.
  7. Things that require you to S-key in pve. SAY WHAT?
  8. I'm the only one off-server that I know of. There wasn't exactly a host of options on imp side here you know.
  9. Gratz to Chandrian! @Mikey I guess I'm not the only one that thinks a change of sig is in order... I got new 55s I gotta list man. LEGACY OF TAR(D)
  10. Come pot5 with those cc's you don't use. I'll heal with you through one.
  11. That is technically the case, but really its no more or less comon than tank swapping because you can make your kite path as tight as you want so as to have stacks off for just moments total each time. (you can only get soa'd if you don't have a stack). This is the same issue as with reg swaps although a full kite path can be a bit more precise on the timing than swaps can (unless two leaping tanks are used) HI Keiki!
  12. Yay arsenal is now officially the second lowest parsing dps spec in this game in front of only Rage Juggernauts.
  13. Or your dps can not be bad and can push the boss with 4 dps. Not challenging really. Esp if healers are contributing as they honestly should be since there is so little to heal in that fight.
  14. Sounds like someone needs to buy a bigger backpack. Every single operation boss in this game has been at least killed with 4 or fewer people in 8m sm. (in fact all have done with 3 or less aside from op9 ) GAME IS TOO HARD
  15. For one have at least one mara swap to smash. For the mara's (this sucks for anni but it doesnt matter for smash so another reason not to play anni) save your leap for if you get pulled. For the sorc, if you do get pulled apply some afflictions under the shield while running back since they don't tick right away anyways. A mm sniper always has entrench up for those two phases so use it. Also for the sorc this is one of the few fights where taking movement boost during polarity shift is kinda nice, because if you get pulled while using polarity shift (which can be used on both waves that need draxus pushes) then you can get back even faster. (also you can apply dots on draxus himself if you get pulled for better results overall) Have the MDPS get the first int's with the rdps on backup incase a melee gets pulled. If a ranged gets pulled they can still use their int's before the cast goes off. As far as tanking goes the Jugg has a significant advantage over a pt in being the offtank, because not only will they do much much better dps but they also can aoe saber reflect adds numerous times for much dps and less damage taken by raid. The only reason to have a pt offtank is the ability to hydraulic override in case of a pull. If a MA gets off, it should not be raid wiping honestly. The sniper and op can evasion and the sorcs can bubble, 4 dots is relatively little damage now. If you feel confident in your healers there is no reason during phase 5 (two corrupters in back with draxus down) why a healer (op recommended) cant go to the back and help dps down the back while the other healer keeps the tank up considering that while the back is alive it is unlikely anyone else can be healed anyways. (this also holds for some other phases as well with lots of bulwarks)
  16. Don't use logic with the frenchman, he is allergic to it.
  17. PT and Mercs should use hydraulics during their burst on the waves to prevent pull. Force camo technically works as well but there is like 0 possibility of getting that off on a random pull. Generally speaking melee should save their leaps (if they have one) and everyone else should save their gap closers/movement boosts for the possibility of getting pulled so if they are they can get back in time for anything. The room is not particularly large so there really isn't any reason to miss an interrupt due to distance unless you are a jogging PT without hydraulics. Finally if you are actually concerned about tank/heals interrupts missing, you can use Accuracy adrenals on the most important phases to prevent missing.
  18. Still can't touch the EU teams....
  19. You ehps required seems insanely high when I consider that I (and many others) have solo healed grobthok nim and did not break 5k ehps (in fact one time was only about 3700 ehps). Other fights as well dont seem right, Draxus I have never seen two healers combine for 5.2k ehps (with any group comp) in fact the most I have ever seen was 4.9k (2.7 and 2.2) pre-nerf (although perhaps that is because if you as a healer spend some time dps'ng which I always did on that fight, the overall damage is reduced significantly due to cleaner/faster pushes aka less lightning adds).
  20. I agree with Zip, and Ivs. I retract my previous comment questioning the picture posted as the video is a more than exemplary job assuaging my concerns. I was particularly impressed with your idea (or perhaps it was unintentional) of the calphy tank picking up raptus at the beginning, it is something I have not seen before, but evidently got the job done. Nice kill Enforcers! Also note on kiting Bestia stacks: I would vote that this is a legal move, just as there really isnt any reason why a calphy tank has to stand there and take the d from him. Caution to other groups: kiting Bestia generally results in a slightly hard to heal (albeit easier to tank/manage circles) fight with the possibility of RNG *********** the raid with either a tyrans pull at the wrong time or a unprepared SOA. But it is a well documented and clearly successfully used way to do the boss. *Source: Experience + guildmate input*
  21. About time indeed! Shadowlands can finally claim to have a Dread Master group! (BTW that is a sick-*** ship) EDIT: That is one messed up picture enforcers, but good job!
  22. Shout out to Beezy, Reaper, Lorm and other imps for giving me my first 0 kill match ever in pvp. (and allowing me to die 11 times). It was a blissful reintroduction of the hazards of queuing solo on pub side, even when on a guardian with 3 health bars.
  23. So clarification.... It is possible to have wrath stacked by getting it right as you push brontes (aka no pre-cast, just instant attack). Furthermore, I have done the math rigorously and creeping terror is NOT ideal if you get 2 or fewer FL casts from it on the droid (which is basically always, although the difference is relatively minimal). Finally with regards to calphy, I am talking about having wrath stacks form either the guardian or from a crystal so as to have wrath prepped when calphy drops (not stacking wrath on calphy himself). In any event, I fully understand what you are actually trying to say with lightning. It does have its uses for alot of fights and if you are significantly better at lightning than madness it is not like madness carries you above lightning (like some other class comparisons). I am only arguing that for the majority of fights in this game current and past, madness is either on par or better than lightning and the number of fights where lightning edges madness is significantly fewer than the number of fights where madness obliterates lightning. And I repeat my recommendation to a burgeoning player, if you have to learn one spec in general you might as well just learn madness and forget about lightning. (also I firmly assert it is easier to play than lightning as well, again I love lightning, and if the two specs were similar in utility and dps out/in I would rather play lightning 24/7, but I really can't justify it).
