  1. That's what I'm talking about! Idc about casuals having BiS gear. They have no use for it, but not my problem. My problem is that taking away the old system ruins gear progression for those who actually need it.
  2. Ok for the last time: They created a system to allow casuals to get BiS gear. This system will ruin the raiders' gear progression (through being non-legacy, RNG etc.) The problem is: They didn't need to create the system in the first place!!! The system's purpose is that everyone can get BiS gear, even though that the ones that didn't have it before didn't need it either! That's why I'm saying I don't care if GC is an extra way to gear up. I don't give a **** about casuals' gear. My problem is that the system which is created for them ruins the gear progression for those who actually need the BiS gear. I don't think I can be more clear than that.
  3. The RNG IS the key man. It's the part of the system that ruins raiders.
  4. I just said in the 2nd paragraph! Did you even read my comment? I'm perfectly fine with everyone running in BiS gear. My problem is the system that allows that also ruins the gear progression for raiders. So no, I wouldn't complain at all if GC was just extra and I could loot tokens from NiM raids like before. Hopefully I was clear enough.
  5. It's not my problem that everyone has access to BiS gear. My problem is that this new system ruins end-game gear progression for organized raiders (who actually NEED that gear) to favor those who don't even need it. I think noone had any problem if GC was introduced as an extra to the current system. I'm not greedy. Let them have the BiS gear through grindfest, idc. What I care about is how this effects my guild's raid teams. And for what? So ppl who don't need it have it too?
  6. PvP gear is restricted for PvP and works well. Ofc I'd be OK with BiS gear working only in operations. Everywhere else all you need is a comp, not gear.
  7. Obviously never been in a ranked match. They stealth out, hide, pop back and regen, hoping they stay hidden. With this change they'd need only 5s to h2f, so they could simply pop out in plain sight on the other side of the room and still be able finish until the opposition gets in leap-range.
  8. I think every raider and probably most PvPer agrees that this new GC system is only beneficial for solo players. There are a lot of discussions why is it bad for organized raiding guilds, that's not the topic here. Why do casuals need BiS gear? What do they do, who are they? Story players? You can go through the whole story content literally naked with only a MH and still clear it w/o problems. Sure we will have 3 difiiculties, but those who never cared about raiding or HM fps or any serious content, will they suddenly want to do all story in Master mode? Ofc they will use the easiest because they only care about story, not the challenge. No need for BiS gear for that. Casual raiders? A guild can gear someone in two runs in the current system with 216s. NiM gear is only needed for harder content, but casuals don't go for Dread Master or Revanchist. So no need for BiS here either. Casual PvPers? The PvP gear was never so easy to get, the GC is guaranteed to be longer. But even if we disregard that, PvP has the least to do with gear. I personally killed tons of geared players in PvE gear (even in 198s for example, so w/o bolster), just because I could. PvP needs skills and gear won't help them. HC farmers? I can't believe I listed that here. Crafters? Maybe this will help them, since the 354782nd Bracers will certainly mean they will have the Bracer schematic. GSH players? This might be true, you can't get any gear from GSH, but GC won't change that. Not like a 6-set bonus GSH owner is better than a 4-set bonus one. GSF players? GSF doesn't drop gear... GC will work with GSF... I see it now! The GSF community is the real culprit here! Death to all GSF players! Conclusion: GC rewards BiS gear to those who don't need it, while penalizing many who need it. Evidently all of this is the GSF community's fault. Oh, and don't forget to nerfoperatives. Always. EDIT: I've clarified my point a few times int the thread, but I guess most ppl only read OP, so I edit it: I have zero problem with casuals having access to BiS gear. I know that it won't help them though, but I honestly don't care. What I care about is that this new system breaks gear progression for raiders and PvPers, who actually have use for the BiS gear, opposed to casuals. So the real problem is: they created a system which caters to ppl who do NOT need its rewards, while hurting the people that actually NEED the gear from it. Easiest solution would be if GC was added extra to the present system. Raiders could loot from bosses to get the gear, PvPers could earn their comms, casuals could do their stuff and everyone happy.
  9. Nope. Would make stealth classes god-OP in ranked (or any PvP content at all)
  10. No. Gear won't require GC level to equip, only to acquire. If you farm the NiM gear on your sent, you can send it to your brand new level 70 mara. GC level is only needed to get the best gear.
  11. You make it sound a lot worse. If you want to reach level 70, you must have been a sub for at least one period, during which you can earn your crates. Is it ideal? No, but that's price of not subbing. I'm not saying this new system is good. I don't like it even though I always sub. But you make lies about the system, even though it has enough problems without imaginary ones.
  12. You fail to understand. Light Side Sith accept the Sith Code but interpret it with a Light Sided mind. The Sith Code is not inherently Dark Side oriented. Light Side Sith have simply different passions. They live to conquer and rule, but also to protect their own. They draw strength from their devotion to their own people to increase their own power. Do they want to rule everything? Yes. But because they know their rule is best for everyone. How are they different from Jedi? They have mercy, but unlike Jedi, they easily strike down an unarmed, defeated enemy, they tend to force their ideas on others, they don't believe in equality (but believe that superior individuals have responsibility towards inferiors). Play through or watch on Youtube a full playthrough of LS SW and SI (I usually find that in Youtube videos ppl are not 100% LS). They are nothing like the Jedi (which Jedi NPCs note frequently, especially with the SW), yet noone doubts they use the Light Side of the Force. As for animations: Sadly the animations don't change if you are LS, but that's just the game's engine. But note: basically all Dark Side Powers have their equal with the Light Side (Force Lightning - Electric Judgement, Affliction - Weaken Mind, Force Crush - that's actually not DS, Windu used it on Grievous, Force Choke - that's also not DS contrary to common belief, etc.)
  13. I'm a fan of bad people redeeming themselves. If Arcann wants to join me, I think I could work it out. On one condition: He must kill 10000 Skytroopers in 3 packs first then defeat SCORPIO by hiding behind a shield like a true coward. Then he can join.
  14. Good question, sadly that doesn't change the fact that there's only 9 chapters
  15. This is my dream, I'm just not sure the writers and devs are brave enough to pull something like that
  16. They confirmed 9 chapters again. There won't be more like it was in KotFE.
  17. Guys, listen to me for a sec! You try to reignite the PvE vs PvP war, implying that an occasional/regular PvPer will have harder time to get their gear than PvEer, but you have many false assumptions: 1. You say you spend only a few hours max in the game. You know who else spends only a few hours in the game? Occasional/regular raiders. They don't spend more time online than you do, and in that time they can do 1-2 ops, while you can do dozens of wzs. 2. You say NiM ops give most Cxp. Ranked wz will give comparable and while NiM ops are literally impossible without proper gear, you can win ranked wz simply by skill superiority. Note that I'm talking about the first phase of KotET, when NOONE will have BiS gear. Ranked will only require Valor, which I assume you have, therefore you can jump immediately into it (since every gear will be crappy anyway), while NiM raiders will have to farm a lot of gear before even touching the highest level of opses. Am I saying PvPers get off easy? NO. Am I saying they get off easier? Yes. NiM raiders will have a hard time to get all the BiS gear, which is not that strictly required in PvP, where class knowledge is more emphasized. All I'm saying is that this situation isn't another PvP vs PvE. You shouldn't be fighting to gear progression without PvE. That's how it will work. You should rather be fighting with others to remove the RNG from the system. That's what will broke gearing, not PvE. It should be playerbase vs devs.
  18. There are tons of people who kneeled and accepted Vitiate's power. Personally I can never agree with any reasoning to submit to the master evil, but that's not my point here. With Nathema returning in KotET, we can expect Vitiate to show his true face and plans at last. We could already see the kneeled PC's will to fade which will probably get worse in KotET. Question is: What do you think is the worst that could happen? Can the PC be killed, permanently possessed, lose all companions or what? Choices matter? If so, there should be real punishment for choosing the wrong path (some might argue which is the right one, but as stated, that's not the question here). Or will BW troll us and in the end we get a Red, a Blue and a Green ending?
  19. In the first part, I was just kidding, stating obvious facts from KotFE (if you don't remember the abandon part, you weren't paying any attention). As for the looks: the Vaylin in the trailer is NOT Bioware's work. KotET IS Bioware's work. Is it clear enough? If not, note that this trailer takes place years before KotFE.
  20. Since when do ops passes allow you to level to 65 (or 70)? You must have been sub to reach end game. And that will still work that way, no change on that front.
  21. As said, they can farm the set-bonus gear during they sub to reach level 70! Yes, they have to work hard during those weeks, but that's the downside of not being a sub. After they farmed the gear and their 30/60 day sub ends, they will be able to raid just like anyone, just like it worked like in the past 5 years.
  22. F2P/pref were ALWAYS locked out of endgame because of level cap. If they sub and reach level cap, then unsub, the can still participate just like before, the only difference is they won't get gear. But they can farm gear during their short sub and still get the same gear only without set bonus.
  23. The f2p level cap is 50! To even reach level 70 in the first place, you must sub at least for one period, during which you can earn your gear (Eric confirmed prefs won't lose their gear). So what is this debate really about?
  24. Most serious pug raids require linking your achievements to invite. I always check achievements, too, especially since NiM gear is available in EV HM. (But why remove EV and KP NiM in the first place then?) Anyway, I've seen people bragging about full Oriconian gear (minus hilt ofc ) back in the days, so...
  25. This question is simply answered if you know the facts: 1. Valkorion and Senya had 3 children (male twins and a daughter) 2. Senya was closest to her daughter, but abandoned her 3. Vaylin blames Senya... Ok, seriously: BLUR Studios made the cinematic trailer, not Bioware, that's why appearances a slightly different. Also if you paid any attention, you could see the things they've done to her. That's Vaylin.
