  1. Hello! This isn't going to be some grand post or anything, but I did just want to take a second to voice my gratitude for a small update added behind the scenes to a few companions. I should start off by saying I'm mostly a casual. I do Warzones and Flashpoints and the occasional Operation, but what keeps my invested in the game is the story and strongholds, as well as the little things usually involving companions. That said, I was very pleasantly surprised to summon my on my Sith Inquisitor and saw that they now have dialogue lines when you right-click on them, which had previously been absent for non-Knight characters. It's just adding little things like these that make the game feel more wholesome to me. So thanks to the Dev(s) that was generous enough to take the time out of his/her/their day to add this little update for silly casuals like myself. P.S. I'm still hoping for that update that will one day let us change the gear on Nico Okarr
  2. I'm fairly certain you can start a romance with Kira when she returns in Onslaught if you missed out the first time. Male, Female, doesn't matter. They're giving all Knights a second chance with her, just like they did for all Consulars with Nadia in the Ossus storyline.
  3. As long as you pick the correct option during the first Council meeting (Wait, I want my seat back!), then yes you will zap Anathel off his throne at the end. Loyalist, Saboteur, doesn't matter. Just keep in mind that, even though you can still kill Anathel, you cannot actually rejoin the Empire as a Saboteur. You will keep the Alliance and go on your merry way.
  4. He has a short romance scene on Imp-side too. The thing you have to watch for is in the mission briefing directly before the Corellia Flashpoint. Krovos suggests bombarding the planet its civilians. If you let her go through with it (options 2 or 3) then Theron gets pissy at the end and stomps off. If you stop her (option 1) then the body count is minimized and Theron doesn't stomp off. Since he doesn't stomp off in this version, the romance scene can play out as intended.
  5. Is it wrong to bump my own thread?
  6. Probably not a huge game changer, but Theron lives even if you skip content on an Imp toon, so you won't need to worry about him.
  7. And Nico Okarr too! Poor guy has been stuck with the same beige jacket for over three years But yeah, I'm sure a lot of more casual players would appreciate this quality of life update. The Devs took the time to add this feature for other companions before (Lana, Senya, Theron, etc.) so it's certainly possible they'll do it for these ones as well.
  8. That is an unfortunate oversight. The Devs did give gear slots to Theron and Koth when they were adjusting companions, so I don't think it's necessarily a deliberate bias against males. I guess Nico was just forgotten among more important companions like Lana, Senya, and Theron. Though Arcann is also missing this options, so you never know...
  9. You might be right. I had been basing my information off this post, which contains a response from customer service. But customer service has been wrong before, so the information in the post could be wrong.
  10. I'm fairly certain the first paragraph isn't a bug. Quinn and Dorne were never meant to be terminal-available if you didn't align with their respective factions. When you start Ossus, it seems the game tries to correct this issue, and removes Quinn and Dorne from characters where they don't belong. It's probably a bug that you can get them from the terminal at all. But the second paragraph definitely seems like a bug. Quinn can legitimately be recruited by a Republic-aligned Sith Warrior. However, the game is likely failing to recognize this, and instead sees the Warrior as another Republic-aligned character that shouldn't have access to Quinn. The result is that Quinn is removed from those Warriors even though they naturally recruited him in the story. This is still an issue? I was under the impression it had been fixed. Oh well
  11. Huh, that is a strange one. I'll chalk it up there.
  12. Greetings community! Since the launch of 5.10, a fair amount of companions bugs have come and gone, and by this time most of them have been complete. My old list here is rather obsolete, but there are still a few companion bugs that persist and should be remembered so that they are eventually fixed. I don't know which bugs still exist, but please comment below if I missed any that persist. Thanks y'all, and here's to bug-free companions! ALL COMPANIONS Companions are still becoming inactive in combat. This occurs if the companion is more than 30 meters away from their target when combat begins. Theron Shan On characters that skip to Ossus, it's possible that Theron Shan will not show up in their Companion & Contact lists, thus making him unavailable for story missions where he is meant to act as a companion. This seems to have no effect on story cutscenes. This issue was noted to have occurred on a Trooper. Paxton Rall Paxton doesn't have anything to say when you right-click on him as your active companion. Gaining Paxton from the holocom makes his Alliance Alert unavailable. Paxton's character sheet offers empty gear slots for the head, chest, wrists, waist, hands, legs, feet, and an offhand. Equipping anything in these slots has no effect on Paxton's appearance. In addition, he cannot wield an offhand blaster, despite there being a slot for one. Darth Hexid Getting Darth Hexid from the holocom makes her Alliance Alert unavailable. Every time you speak to Darth Hexid in the Alliance base, she will treat it as the first time you've ever spoken to her, as opposed to Ranos and Paxton who will recognize you if you've already completed their recruitment missions. Nico Okarr Nico Okarr does not have gear slots to customize his gear. Malavai Quinn Warriors who reunite with Quinn on Iokath run into a problem. When trying to place a decoration of Quinn in their stronghold, the Quinn who appears is a hologram and wears only underwear. Now that's just crude. Sith Warriors who align with the Republic on Iokath and recruit Quinn run into an issue. When starting Jedi Under Siege, these players lose access to Quinn and cannot summon him from the Companion Odessen Terminal. There continues to be confusion as to whether or not Quinn should be obtainable (via the terminal) for characters who sided with the Republic on Iokath. In these cases, Quinn was retrieved from the terminal only to be lost upon starting Ossus. It is unclear whether the bug is the initial retrieval from the terminal, or the loss as a result of Ossus' story. Elara Dorne There continues to be confusion as to whether or not Dorne should be obtainable (via the terminal) for characters who sided with the Empire on Iokath. In these cases, Dorne was retrieved from the terminal only to be lost upon starting Ossus. It is unclear whether the bug is the initial retrieval from the terminal, or the loss as a result of Ossus' story. Jace Malcom/Empress Acina Although it isn't causing any problems for story missions, there are still some players who have Malcom's and Acina's statuses incorrect.
  13. Really? You can't summon him anymore? Did this happen when 5.10 released? Or when you started the Ossus story? Or some other time?
  14. My two cents on this: I'm inclined to agree with AscendingSky that Theron was intended to be a traitor, but only for certain characters. Like, for Lighter characters who spared companions and saved lives and became a peacekeeper, Theron would have been a double-agent and the story would have progressed as it did. But for Dark Side characters who killed companions at every turn and showed no remorse for anyone and became a dictator, then Theron would have actually been a traitor. Not sure what specific choices would have been used to decide whether or not Theron's betrayal was legit. Probably would have more than just one. Such as: the player would have had to kill Senya & Arcann, would have had to bomb the spire, AND would have had to become a dictator. But that's just an example. Point being is I don't think one wrong choice would have turned Theron traitor. Again, this is all speculation on our part. Maybe the way the story played out was always their intention. Impossible to say.
  15. I'll add it, but it'd help if you could confirm more details. Is the wrong voice only applied when in healing stance? Do you know whose voice is wrongly substituted for Iresso?
  16. Actually 16, considering each class has two genders. You're probably right, but I think the "companions dying to player feedback" is still valid. There was large demand for blood ever since base game, where controversial companions (Kaliyo, Quinn, Skadge) were invulnerable. Fallen Empire was designed to be a new direction in storyline mechanics where the player and their companions and the galaxy were a whole lot more variable to player choices.
  17. I like the Dark Ages idea, though I don't think it's necessary to connect it to something 1600 years down the line in legends.
  18. I was honestly surprised the Gravestone was never turned into a ship that the player could use for interplanetary travel. I mean, it already had an instanced layout and a cockpit and enough room to store all our new companions. But alas, twas never meant to be. And now it's gone, so....
  19. While I am an Alliance fan and I do agree with many of your points, you are overlooking quite a bit. Remember, all the Republic and Imperial defectors joined you because they wanted to liberate their homes. They wanted to liberate the Republic and Empire. The Republic and Empire have been liberated. And now they want to go home, reunite with friends, hug their families, etc. So if you're confused as to why the Alliance loses so much manpower, that's why. It's members are going home. Of course, not everyone feels this way. There are still those now view the Alliance Commander as the best leader for the galaxy, given that the Commander did what the Republic and Empire couldn't do; the Commander toppled Zakuul. That's inspired some people to stay on Odessen and continue to support the Alliance Commander's actions. But again, that's only a small percentage of the original Alliance army that battled Zakuul. The Alliance is still strong. Likely strong enough to single-handedly tip the balance in either the Empire or Republic's favor. But like you said: The Alliance has resources. Which makes it a prime target for resource-craving Empire and Republic. Simply put, without the backing of one of the big factions, Alliance space would be invaded by both the Empire and Republic, who are desperate for those resources.
  20. You're always entitled to your own opinion, but I do want to point out a few inaccuracies about Darth Malgus. First, this is the beginning of a new story. There is supposed to be some mystery in exactly how Acina is controlling Malgus. It's clear that Malgus isn't obeying out of choice. It's very likely that the future storyline will see Malgus break Acina's leash and seek revenge. So if you're interested in that, stay tuned. Second, you complained a lot about aliens and slaves rising in the Empire, but you also said that Malgus "remembered what was Korriban and Dromund Kaas". Keep in mind that Malgus was that one who kickstarted the whole shift in the Empire that allowed aliens into the military. So you can't really hate the alien incorporation and wish for the "old" Malgus back... because Old Malgus wanted aliens. As for the rest of your post... about the Empire not being as bad as it used to, you're right. But don't forget that it is still pretty evil. The whole Ossus mission is about invading a colony of peaceful Jedi and farmers that don't offer much of a threat... and you're tasked with wiping them out entirely. That's pretty bloody and in-tune with the old Empire.
  21. Like others, I am disappointed that we've had to wait so long for some really crippling bugs caused by 5.10. Regardless, I am hopeful we will have this solved by patches through January and February. For ease of convenience, I've linked some of the the various Bug Report posts on the forums that have done their best to compile the large extent of 5.10 bugs. I trust the Devs will pay attention to things that have been specifically pointed out by the players. Comprehensive List of Companion bugs after 5.10a. Comprehensive List of Decoration bugs after 5.10a. Most disruptive issues from 258 gear in 5.10a. List of Ossus world/mission bugs after 5.10a. Iokath Missions/Dailies bugged after Ossus auto-complete.
  22. This idea actually sounds like a really sweet follow-up to the current Imperial v Republic war they're setting out to do. It would accomplish a lot of things that I think players would want. There would still be a focus on the core elements of the game, Sith and Republic, while veering into "fresher" territory, as you said. It's been set up for a long time with Resource Crisis plot thread started way back in Fallen Empire. A total Dark Age with independent warlords would serve as a great story reset button to unite the various plot continuities that currently exist in the story. The Alliance would still fit logically into this story, either with the player working to rebuild the Galaxy or defending the Imperial/Republic remnant or taking power as a Warlord. Overall, I think this is a solid concept. I would be very interested in seeing how this plays out after the untold destruction that will undoubtedly be brought by the Republic v Empire war.
  23. To be fair, most companions and LIs were "bricked" immediately you finished your class story. Taking them all away at the beginning of Fallen Empire actually opened the opportunity for a companion to return to the limelight again. Some got a ton of attention (ahem, SCORPIO...) and some get the rot end of the stick (Poor Andronikos, Mako, Risha... you know the rest). While it's true that the old LIs have always had considerably less screentime than, say, Lana and Theron, it's certainly understandable why the devs went this route. Scenes for the "newer" romances simply have a much greater cost-benefit. Any player/faction/class/gender can romance Lana, Theron, Arcann, and Koth*, whereas all the other LIs are highly restricted. Jorgan, for example, is only romanceable by female troopers. Vette is only romanceable by male warriors. The point is that a whole lot more of the player base will experience those scenes/dialogues from a romanced KOTFE companion, compared to the fraction of players that would see the scenes from a romanced OG companion. It's frustrating, but it's obvious why this route was taken. *Admittedly, Koth has "bricked" ever since the end of KOTET, even as one of the newer romances. Lana and Theron have received consistent romance dialogues over the last few patches, and Arcann has even had a few moments, but Koth is no where to be seen
  24. You're totally right. It's not exactly rocket science. Players wanted more meaningful consequences for companions. The lack-of-kill-option in the original game for some controversial companions (Kaliyo, Quinn, Skadge, etc.) did irk people. They wanted kill options. And now that we have so many companions, and since all the companions can do all the roles, there was no longer a technical barrier. The writers gave players more freedom with how companions can act and be treated. Now they can be die, be exiled, or even walk out on players. So in sum, yes, the choice to kill companions was a direct result of player feedback.
  25. I'm kind of surprised there isn't more content with potentially dead companions. Yes, it's more money/resources/voice-acting/whatever, but small details like these dramatically increase the replayability of the story. Additionally, the writers already set a precedent in Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne, mostly with Koth Vortena. For characters that kept Koth around, he continued to show up in the story with dialogue and information and at least a somewhat major role. If Koth had been chased away, his role and dialogue were simply taken up by other recognizable NPCs, typically Tora or Hylo Visz. I'm surprised BioWare hasn't carried this precedent forward into any content beyond KOTET. The substitutions aren't terribly hard to figure out. For example: Anything related to the military could have dialogue from Aric Jorgan. If Jorgan is dead or exiled, his military dialogues could be filled in by Admiral Aygo. Anything related to the underworld or criminal activity could have dialogue from Kaliyo. If Kaliyo is dead or exiled, her underworld dialogues could be filled in by Hylo Visz. Anything related to Zakuul or the Alliance fleet could have dialogue from Koth. If Koth is dead or exiled, his Zakuul and fleet dialogues could be filled in by Tora. Etc. Etc. Etc. Again, I'm aware this costs more money, but it does add that lovely replayability factor. I'd love to see more of our so-called "bricked" companions, and I do have faith that we will see something of them when 6.0 arrives. And if they do return to this precedent, I'd be perfectly content with seeing Lana having a dismiss option (or even a kill option), with her retaining a presence in the story of those who kept her, while her lines are taken by another NPC for those who dismissed her.
