  1. ...Wait, what? You do realize you could: 1. Mail everyone a redemption code. 2. Write a web JAVA program that utilizes the redemption code tied to the account and lets them choose which server and toon it goes to. You could even do it without the code, and just flag it once per account (harder to program, but whatever). Like literally, multiple other games do this and I could even program this in a few hours. And it only takes so long because I'm terrible at coding. Like seriously?
  2. It's either a million dollars complex, or they did something wrong and shouldn't reveal it out of embarrassment. I'll save Eric the trouble: "It's on our list of priorities but not at the top."
  3. I think I just need to go to another one of ya'll servers where the players hold areas of control better and aren't flying monkeys in PuG PvP. Healer for me in PvP makes me want to stab myself, although the few rateds I did in healer spec were a less stabby and more along the lines of a light slapping.
  4. inb4 Devs stating this is a feature like how clothes look great in the store, but terrible when you bring them home.
  5. Eric that response made zero sense. It's cheaper to buy a Conq piece, and rip the mods out than buying them separately. 1750 // 775*2 = 3500 // 1550 for a total of 12,050. Conq Boots lets say, are 2000 // 875 for a total of 6875. Even if you have to buy conq chest, thats 3200 // 1425, for a total of 11025 So at best case scenario, it's just 24.8% cheaper to buy the Conqueror part again. At worst case, its 8.6% cheaper. That's a design flaw, not a feature for balance. Unless you consider balance "Duping idiots".
  6. We need a name for this. The Maras that never go for the sorc. I'll never understand why me on my Jugg or even on my Sorc are the only ones pounding on the healers (cause its always plural Imp vs Pub...), especially the super squishy Sorcs, and the maras are off painting their nails or attacking tanks and DPSers that get healed to full. Having a good Mara is like a treasure, I don't blame the other team for focusing me down for revenge when I murder one of them.
  7. Doing 7-9-10-11 piece Expertise gear optimizations, has anyone come up with a good idea on which slots to leave as PvE and which as PvP? And if crafted 54 is the only way to go or if 58s or 66s work? (Not like Im not gonna experiment myself) I'd assume 7 is 2 Relics, 4 armor, 1 belt or Wrist, 9 5 pc armor, wrists & belt, and Relics, and 10/11 is adding in MH/OH? Its not like the cat isn't out of the bag on using crafted 54s, so it shouldn't exactly be a secret.
  8. Booooooom Godwin's Law invoked. They cancelled both Olympics during WW2. I think the issue is that the population queuing is bad. And what about those Light Side Imps or Dark Side Pubs that aren't all about their side?
  9. He should be at about 1700ish expertise in full 66 PvEs. The 58 set would actually give him more expertise (1900-1975ish). But yea, just get partisan with PvE crafted ear and implants. Easiest/fastest setup that's efficient.
  10. While this is true, I always warn with this because I see a lot of Sorcs try to depend on this skill, whereas its really a secondary or tertiary minded option. It doesn't work as well as Op HoT, and it's really better utilized in a static situation or where a big duke out is happening. It's terrible for huttball or if you're more on the move in Civil War, Hypergate (pick a side people!), and novarre on the move. The fact we have to stop to heal for all but one heal is really annoying (barring instant puddles off procs) for PvP. If were in a spot that doesn't require mobility Sorcs are pretty awesome healers. Unfortunately it seems to fit only 50% or less of situations.

    bolster preview

I saved my Makeb geared items, and just did a whole new set of gear at 53 with Purp 66s. Guess which one is better with Bolster?
  12. You're confusing tank distraction (When it works) with guy that dies in 4 seconds to two people as any extras run off. I'm talking about the people who rush nodes and give out free easy kills. Or that don't wait 20-30 seconds to move with the team instead of giving free kills.
  13. Yea I only do that with people who I know aren't idiots (or figured it out half way through). I'd say 25% chance of them understanding what I'm doing, but about 99% chance the pug opposition falls for it. 8 warzones last night it worked like a charm, pulled 4+ people off a node to come chase me and a healer down while the derps got their crap together and took it about 1-2 minutes later than expected. I love the people when I say "Me and Healer go left to draw 3-4 people, everyone else pound right, well join you when we die" and I end up with 4-6 people on left. Not sure what I'd call them other than "Muppets".
  14. With a good team, its really really hard to make the AoE heal pool work because it doesn't move. Good teams will move...a lot. If you actually utilize that on a group of idiots that don't move enough, and lots of bubbles on everyone and their mother while throwing out some other heals, you will eclipse OPs. As said above, watch your force usage. Follow a tank class and pray they're smart enough to guard you, and choose your positioning wisely after that (Out of sight, out of mind). Sorcs can't really move and heal well, so you want to ensure you are not getting picked on.
  15. K since no one responded to ya... Right now, use this: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/sorcerer#0-0-0 Do some planning there. Honestly at level 13, there is not many skill points to utilize - and anyone yelling at you in that flashpoint is either insane, you didn't heal at all (Use your bubble and Dark Heal), or I don't know. I literally did that flashpoint with 1 Jugg (me) and 3 Maras and no heals were needed outside of a medpack on me at the final boss. What you're eventually aiming for is: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/skills/sorcerer#113132221022102120221032-320-200 Get those 5 points in lighting and 2 points in madness asap as they will help you in general for healer spec. You will most like respec later to get rid of some or all of those for more healer abilities. Get those, and then shoot for innervate asap. The AoE heal is nice and needed later on, but you can seriously get away with Bubbles and single person heal easily. Hell, 50HM FPs I rarely needed anything outside of bubbles and innervate.
  16. You're gonna get yelled at. It's okay though, they're just jerks. http://www.thatvideosite.com/v/2822 Check the symbol at your toon's image, it will let you know what role the GF put you in. I've clicked DD by mistake being in healer spec, etc. You could have misclicked, they could have misread, etc. Madness and Lightning are different styles, have different rotations, and have different pluses and minuses. So does healing. Ideally try out all three, see what you like and is the most fun and master it and enjoy it.
  17. Good to know. Unfortunately they sell at a loss atm, and Im better off just selling the mats. They sell for 11k for 12k+ worth of mats, which explains why I don't see them on the GTN. But good to keep in mind for guildies and friends that they can be viable, thank you.
  18. You're missing the part where were staring at the door or were just looking at it 2 seconds ago. I literally camera pan/mouse look back and forth, its like 2 seconds or less. What you're describing I've seen. This is not the case.
  19. I could see some RP coming out of it...like fun RP.
  20. There really needs to be a "lolPvP" Meme thread. http://i44.tinypic.com/2wdvo10.jpg I had issues with my net for about a week, I will confirm that even accidental crazy stuff happens in about 3-5 (sometimes more) seconds of lag & disconnects. In a controlled disconnect, there are some really sick possibilities for exploits.
  21. Oh Bolster, how you hate my HP every time I level. Honestly I die about 27 times IF I guard people, and about 2-3 times if I don't. Gonna go with: Rambo: The guy who head first rushes a node solo vs 2-4 people even though we announced, and he saw us go to another node. 1337: The people who blatantly use speed hacks and reset hacks in pre 55 warzones. Tunnel Vision Guys (as its always a pack): You killed their mara, ball carrier, or carried a ball. All 4+ will pound on you for 30-60 seconds for no reason other than to see you die, as your team takes a node or scores. Tank and DD Killer: Pro at endlessly wailing away at the DDs and Tanks while leaving the healer alone to keep them up while they murder you repeatedly. Center Pro Guy: Mindlessly goes for center/south at all costs and times. Stun King: Repeatedly stuns everything near full resolve or with full resolve. Except when I'm bait. Course I also let them know Im doing that. Works like a charm every time, the two follow off to kill me while the stealthers ninja the node. Lolz all around.
  22. Are 66 blues actually viable? I have the capability to make 66 blue armorings, mods, and enhancements and I just rarely see them on the GTN, and when I do the prices are pretty pitiful. So I haven't bothered making them and I've never had people request them. I mean, if they're viable I've give em a shot and throw em up cheap as long as they're not at a loss. I understand the need for gear. I just figured nobody wanted them and I shouldn't bother?
  23. If cartel dyes were available in collections, or if the price was about 25-50%, Id be interested. Very few armor sets that I personally like, dye well. There is a few other games that utilize dying armor/fashion, and they do a better job at it - and its implemented a lot cheaper. It's still expensive to do, but not outrageous like here, and you don't lose money because you got circus colors. Best system I've seen is that there is standard colors available to choose from, and random packs. Random packs are considerably cheaper, and the color choice is 5x the price. They also did seasonal colors. Right now 100 CC for 1 dye is really bad. Thats 100k in game coins thereabouts, something lower level players cannot access well as they're trying to keep their gear up to spec. If it was cheaper, there would be more sales in terms of quantity as lower level players who are more casual (and tend to spend on cosmetics over gear more readily) will find the price more accessible. 750k-2m+ for most of the wanted colors is way out of the price range even in 50+. That's a lot of gear upgrades, crafting leveling, stims, etc - to skip for fluff. And to the OP: Black/Black is slowly disappearing. Crafted dyes has steadily increased, I stopped making them and trying to sell them as they now sell for a loss. There is PAGES AND PAGES of the crap color dyes nobody wants. Theres a few Black or White / Whites, grays, and dark purples, about 15ish in total left. There used to be pages of them. Still at 750k-2m+. I was debating a White/Black or a Black/White or a White/Gray but it just didn't look cool enough (not to mention, there was still issues with stuff that didnt dye) on any of my three sets of armor to be worth the price of not augmenting out my gear.
  24. No. Even before I got Makeb com gear the content on Corellia was a faceroll - and I was in Level 43/45 mods and my companion had 39. The game isn't hard at even level even with mods 2-5 levels old, but making it a snooze fest is even worse when you outlevel everything but an extreme amount. I hit 50 before stepping foot in Corellia using half of my xp bonus items (and wasting a lot of a 3 hour), never doing a heroic, doing 2 FPs in my 20s, doing bonus series twice in my 30s, and doing the daily/weekly pvp quest. I did the normal quests and the story quests for the planets - I even skipped half of 3 planets normal quests. Thats it. The game is designed around utilizing your companion (whichever style you choose) and having fun with that. Gearing up. Progressing with the story. I'd want the option to turn double xp off. It's too much as is without it. Do double quest rewards (Coin, coms, etc), double drops, whatever. But XP is too much. Removing what little grind there is is kinda boring. I would applaud them for their innovation and giving players a choice of what they want to pursue and how. It would be like an amazing feat of good MMO management.
