  1. The ART DEPT!!!! IMO once again the people in the Art/GFX dept have done themselves proud and produced some major quality stuff.... As for the actual update (i say update coz this is not an expansion). I see why a lot of people are upset, hell even i am slightly disappointed, not so much at the quality but at the quantity, being that this was being hyped up as an expansion. You look at most other RPG/MMO's when they do an expansion there is hours and hours of content/quests that can be done before you would even hit the new level cap. With this thing you have done within about 4 quest hand in's people have already gone from 75-80 and then your into the final FP. There is just no substance. The char panel i think is a really good change having the multi loadouts, makes things so much easier and faster to switch about between different gear/roles (has been needed for a long time)
  2. I logged into the store through the webpage this morning to buy the Digital Collectors Edition It has taken the money from my Bank Account but not delivered any of the content
  3. Found a bug on the Taris Planet quest called CATALYST Its the one where you have to get infected by a Rakgoul to test serum out. If you have the quest on you and you log out or game crash before you get infected and the quest will not update at all once you do get infected only resolution i have found to this is to abandon the quest and restart it - is a pain coz you have like 2 hours to get infected and if your not paying attention to the debuffs you dont realise your getting infected and quest updating
  4. I'd love to go back to being able to have not just main quest lines but also have companion quests, getting meaningful Quests/Side quests and Planet Arc/Exploration missions. There always was lots to do and see and learn about everything that way
  5. As the question asks is what happens next to the game? Now im not going to speculate story and such but more look at the time line of how story has released in the past 9 years which is why im fearful for what actually is going to happen. As said from Devs in the Cantina and been stated numerous times through other sources that after this 6.2 patch it is finally the end of an era when it comes to the overall story that started on the game release in 2011. Original game release was DEC 2011 had tonnes and tonnes of content to play. Expansion Rise of the Hutt Cartel - APR 2013 - Had loads of content again. Expansion Shadow of Revan - DEC 2014 - Once again had tonnes of content. Expansion Fallen Empire - OCT 2015 - Had tonnes of content Expansion Eternal Thone - DEC 2016 - Had tonnes of content Over the last 4 YEARS we have had effectively 3 SHORT (interlude) Story lines being Traitor/Jedi under siege and Onslaught all of which were released as updates (at an average release timing 6-8 months apart) and gave a major less playtime experience overall than any previous expansion did. I talk about playtime experience for these updates as in every expansion between 2011-2016 being hours and hours of time to playthrough and do stuff taking days, where the past 4 years story content can be done in like a few of hours. Now that is what really leads to my fear for the game that also asks the question where the game goes from here? Being that there was all the talk at the last Cantina on twitch about the 10th anniversary in 2021. Everyone talks about a new expansion happening then, but what happens story wise over the next year - Nothing?? Is it just going to be another year of Quality of Life Changes? And these QoL changes lets remember have been happening loads and loads since 2017 when Iokath and Gods was finally released a year late. A year of doing more to PvP and rehashing changes over old content. I have loved this game since its release - but like i have mentioned i really fear for the next year and lack anything content based which will drive people away from playing the game. Compared to other MMO's who in the same period since 2016 have brought out up to 10 times more content with the multiple expansions and patches than SWTOR have done. Namely other smaller Developers like Lord of the Rings Online and Star Trek Online both whom have less resources than EA/Bioware. Community managers communication/interaction needs to a massive step in the right direction in letting the whole community know what lies ahead in the future rather than the old "we have plans" comments "but we are not aloud to talk about that" There is so much more that could be said but i will leave it at that and just hope that things are not left in limbo from the game for too long.
  6. I have like 20 Chars now on 1 server and for the life of me i cannot remember which of these i made saboteurs when playing. I go through Codex, Mission log, Contacts and Companions, Char page - and there is absolutely nothing reminding someone that they made the choice to switch sides on that Char Surely there can be a way to create something that can be visible so people who have many many chars can then remember at a quick glance that this is a saboteur or if they playing pub or imp when it comes to the story.
  7. Was playing another new char through KotFE when i noticed that the constant repeatable - Chapters: Defeat Skytroopers 2 objective was never counting any mobs that was being killed.
  8. Issue seems to be happening at Zayo.com (US Fibre provider) according to my Tracert
  9. Getting the same lag on SS too for the past hour or so, Ping is up and down like yo-yo as mentioned. between 60-500+ for me deffo server side issue and not Net
  10. This has to be some sort of Bug.... Its happened to me on a few occasions
  11. CDT= BST+6 UK = 20:00 EU = 21:00 RU = 22:00 - 22:30ish
  12. What has happened with the damage being done by mobs in just doing the story on Iokath On the quest - Where Dreams Die You get multi groups of mobs from front, left and right Soon as you start they all attack companion that is your healer, soon as companion is dead (which happens in like 60 seconds) they then literally wipe out the other 4 companions and also kill you This also means that you get zero heals from the start of fight due to the companion constantly trying to heal them selves.
  13. This is going to be one of them nights where they fix things, everyone tries to log in at the same time and crash the server again
  14. The team is making steady progress on a fix. We are getting close to having everything resolved but no ETA just yet. More updates to come, thank you for your patience! Posted on Twitter just now
  15. Biggest question is - What will they break by fixing the current problem? :p:p
  16. Id love to see something like this happen. Instead of thinking about having like 7 companions... Why not turn the SM ops into like the FP's where you get the Droid and your own companion to do. This is a formula thats already in the game and surely wouldnt be that hard to implement the OP part of a story for the solo player to go through
  17. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out here. I run Dual GTX 1080 8GB Gaming X gfx cards - even though the gfx are really cool for me and I love how everything looks when just chilling out doing things like questing/fp's/heroics and other mundane stuff. When it comes to doing HM/Nim Op's I have one little issue using the top of the range GFX Example is last night not even seeing red circles that will explode and blow me up - reasons I couldn't see the circles were either Heal Puddles over the top of them, Fire on the top of them, or in general the fire/glare look covering most the screen. (turning bloom off does not fix this just makes everything darker) Now I know for fact when playing a different game this is caused by the post processing effects that will capture certain aspects over the top of others, and is easy fixed by disabling the post processing effects. What is there in the game that will allow me to actually see where certain things are when you get special effects like fire covering everything else up
  18. Hope someone from BW has answers to this as I have contacted Eric Musco both through the Forums and Twitter in past couple months with NO REPLY and recently saw the Mail that came about regarding a application for a Community Manager for SWTOR. I know in the past past there was the Influencer Programme.... Where is this now??? But id like to ask the question about people that stream the game regular and getting support in streaming. I know myself in the past 2 months have worked really hard with the stream i do, have done over 600 hours or so in the past 2 months or so of Swtor Streaming. Things like Give Aways etc (in the past couple months I have had to personally buy everything from either the Cartel Market or Site to do a give away). Even in this past 2 month i know that in excess of 20 people have either started playing the game or even returned to playing swtor. As a streamer id also like to be able to give out info on the game, as im constantly asked things like whats happening and when. Events ingame future things coming etc and we can only go on what is placed on the forums from DEVS which is normally pretty minimal and im not the only SWTOR streamer with this problem....
  19. Looking through the whole thread I see one thing in common and that is the separation of the Dev Team from EA!! No one has actually mentioned how recently (just over a year ago) the Dev's at Turbine got out from under the Thumb of WB by making their own Dev Studio called Standing Stone Games thus managing to claw away both Lord of the Rings Online and also DDO away from the slimy grasps of a big money corporation. The content they now release is how the Devs want things and the pace at what they want to do it, not under constraint of some bigwigs devaluing what they can for a quick buck. Hopefully the same thing can happen with SWTOR!!! Now I know someone mentioned about licencing on the game... Yes there will be licencing on SWTOR but its a matter if and when that licence to LUCASFILMS/LUCASARTS runs out with EA... Once it does it would give a team or another company a perfect opportunity to make a break with the game and start doing development to reignite what SWTOR was when in its first few years to bring players back.
  20. Problem is they wont get anything from EA, and I think a lot of the game developing companies under EA will struggle to get anything other than what they get until the LOOTBOX case thing is resolved But getting back on track with the thread - I dont think that a stat can really say how popular a game is at the time, specially for what is prob classed as a small game at moment compared to a lot out there. Any streaming platform is going to be more of a means to advertise and hopefully get new or returning people in the game. The game seem to be plugged more on a grapevine of friends of friends etc via twitch and other sources - which mean someone at BW needs to really actively do something, and as mentioned by someone much earlier in the thread how the official SWTOR twitch channel can get over a few hundred people on it when a dev is on there. That is one way to bring some life back ( Links are now working so ty for pointing that out)
  21. I dont think the server has depopulated at all, When im online I can always see between 20-50 on a planet (instance im on) and there is always up to 100 on Fleet Think its just more PvE than Pvp - which I like as there is less toxic people about
  22. Your not far wrong there.... When I look to host people I tend to try to do people playing Story or something, but then there is also the quality of stream that plays a big factor. I think things will change a bit with Update 5.10 - 6.0 from prevalent Pvp streams to Story/PvE which will hopefully not only have more people watching but also return to the game - that being said the guys at Bioware need to do a little more in the marketing the game update and whats coming etc
  23. Im afraid you are wrong, she only gets the droids reset to the ships that are close by, there are thousands of ships no where near to be effected by the reset.... Its even made a point of in the cut scenes When Scorpio 1st releases them no one has any control over anything, and then when she resets them only a portion are effected on the reset
  24. Just to get the OP initial post back on track. I dont know what issue there was really, When thinking about it as the commander after the death of Valkorian you DID NOT control the whole of the eternal fleet, you controlled just a fraction of them after Scorpio gave all the Gemini Captains their freedom to think for themselves. It was with this one of the captains had gone to a faction of Zakul to destroy the alliance and the eternal fleet. As for Theron I think if you look at some of his reactions to decisions being made on the later part of taking the throne to how he also reacts to things at the start of the Traitor Story line you can see he is wavering to the point of betraying you. With this also you can see a little later and with knowledge of him being a spy can totally see he is going deep undercover without telling you But thats just my take on it, maybe replay the story and you may see what I am on about
