There are definitely things that could be improved, especially texture bugs and some heavy discrepancies in quality between expansions. That said, I think the game still looks good, definitely not top of the line good even for 2010: I played Age of Conan for many years and that came out in 2008 and was (well, still is) looking a lot better to me even then. That said, graphics are not everything, the game looks good, completely revamping everything will probably not happen and I think they are good for what they are supposed to do.

Tell me you haven't played with a 144hz monitor without telling me. Difference is like night and day, playing with a 144hz monitor for some time and then switching back to 60 is like going back from 60 to 30. And yeah, back then people said the same, "humans can't see 60 FPS" Absolute BS.

The gear in your inventory stays completely usable, it is authorized by previous subscription. The only thing you can't do is putting these items into your legacy storage or send them to another character via mail, that removes the authorization.

Yeah but don't really feel like playing a character so far that I can reach Tatooine just to show a bug. Lighting might be bad but it's still definitely visible. Which makes it much worse even because you can ALWAYS see it, no matter the lighting Guess that means no Twi'lek chars for me then, it looks bad like some head / body mod-conflict in Skyrim or Fallout.

I subscribed because I wanted to create a Twi'lek character, now I realized that I can't wear half of the armors I bought for it because the body skin color isn't the same as the head. It looks like a toy figure where I replaced the head with a different colored one. Is there a way to fix this or is this "normal"? See, this is the exact selfish sc*mbag behavior that destroys online games. With an attitude like that you should go play single player games and stop making the game worse for other people because of some egoistic "protest" against the current gearing system. I wonder if you also go to parties in real life just to make them miserable for everyone simply because you actually hate going to parties.

I honestly doubt that rewarding after the amount of medas will work because the AFKers will just AFK near a pylon and don't contribute either. I know there is a difference between defending and AFKing near a pylong, it's pretty obvious who is doing one of them. Let's just face it: The mode itself feels awful to play for most people yet rewards some of the best stuff for no work. BioWare has to either rework the mode to make it actually fun and engaging to play or nerf the rewards - but that way no one will play it anymore because it's considered an awful mode by 99% of the playerbase.

Alright, another day another 2 hours wasted in this awful mode with self-destructors and AFKers. I am going to be honest here, since I can't beat those people I have to join them, if they and I self-destruct the whole time the match ends even faster - at least something positive out of that whole situation. That way the match ends quicker, the next starts and maybe, just maybe it is a normal match with normal players. Needless to say, I will not sub anymore, I do not pay to be AFK in fleet to wait for a match where I can be AFK as well because half my team doesn't play.

I personally think having a subscription isn't a bad thing but I think the price is a bit too high for how little content they release. If you had a 1 month sub running since the last expansion you payed around 360€ for an expansion that 2 hours in length roughly. Ontop of that add the very expensive item shop and some pre-order / collectors edition upgrades for the new expansion. Server upkeep should be nothing for EA, it's not a super big population and EA makes insane amounts of money from games like Fifa but we have to face it: even if EA could cut down the sub prices a bit they would never ever even consider doing it because they will try to squeeze out every last bit of money. That's why things like hiding your helmet is a payed feature. That's how businesses work and since people are still subscribing a lot EA sees this as kind of an agreement with the prices.

How I understood it: the gear you have bought while having a subscription will still be usable. What I don't know is whether or not that translates to switching gear, as in, if you unequip the purple / yellow gear you won't be able to equip it again. If you are only preferred you can buy legendary implants and tacticals but due to their tier you won't be able to equip them UNLESS you have the artifact authorization from the cartel market. If you do have that unlock all of the above doesn't matter anymore because you can equip all types of gear.

Probably, maybe - I honestly dont have a clue. I can't right click his name in the stats window and typing his name is almost impossible due to weird character that I have no idea how to type. Even if I ignore this player it's besides the point though because the player will continue to destroy the game for OTHER players. It's not that it's only bothering me, it's the fact that he is destroying the game for any player he is matched up with. He should simply be banned from queueing up all together because he has shown that he doesn't want to play for weeks and probably a hundred matches by now. But honestly - I doubt anything will be done, my premium time runs out in a few days and I won't continue to play this mode anymore because it's just not enjoyable with players like that and without a subscription I additionally have no use for the rewards even if I was to gear up a new character because I can't use any of it effectively (epic gear being locked, not being able to use legendaries and tacticals either with tech fragments). I can't play the mode most of the time just for fun due to people like that and additionally I won't be able to use rewards so from my perspective there is no point anymore in playing it.

I would rather play with a small group of people that actually PLAY the game than with more people where some use a script / macro to self-destruct endlessly to end the match as fast as possible or are simply AFK and not moving at all. Behavior like that shouldn't be rewarded but it currently is. Those are WRONG players because they are not even PLAYING, I would rather have one less team member than one of those on my team.

Yes I fear so too, there will be lots of those people as well. I kinda like PvP here and wanted to get deeper into it because simply judging from my stats and comments by other players I am not that bad apparently, same goes with GSF but having players like that in your match makes it worthless to even try because you can't fight against it in any way. This GSF player from the screenshot was in 5 matches with me today. 5 matches of wasted time because someone decided to simply abuse the system. And of course, I couldn't do anything against it, because if one of my team member is responsible for 50% of our deaths in TDM by not even leaving the spawn area I just decide to not play anymore at all and leave the game all together. This is not worth my time or my money and there are other games out there that have a fail save to avoid such things. Also, this goes for having this person on the enemy team as well, I don't want a free win, I want to play a normal match. If I win a match and didn't even get to fly around for 2 minutes because we won due to someone giving us free points I don't see a point in playing either (because I already have full 326 PvP Gear, I play for the sake of playing the modes and not for loot).

This guy in the screenshot has been ruining matches for weeks now and continues to do so every every week after the mission reset. The fact that there is no incentive to play a match if you see a certain name is ridiculous, I reported this guy after every single match and nothing has happened so far since he is still "playing". And no, this is not a "learning player", this is simply a thrower who likes to destroy the game, you are not learning by self destructing 25+ times in a match for several weeks. Vote kick apparently doesn't work because he is "participating" lol

You say people shouldn't make assumptions about you because they don't know you yet you make assumptions about every new player. I am pretty much a new player even though my account is kinda old, I only play for a few months and yes, I have been kicked from several groups because my DPS is / was too weak. Did it make me quit? No, I tried to do better, upgraded my gear outside of Master FPs as much as I could, learned to do my rotation better and now I can easily compete in master FPs. So yeah, that tool helped me even though I don't even use it myself. Assuming that every new player has such thin skin that they uninstall the game instantly when they get kicked once from endgame content is just wrong.

I thinks it's a very good addition because without it I would probably still deal pretty poor DPS. There were people who posted the DPS of all members in the group chat every now and then and sometimes I was the lowest so I tried to focus better and we actually beat the bosses. Sure I also got kicked from the group quiet a few times but so did others and I think it's only fair because with poor DPS you have no place in master mode dungeons.

I personally don't have a problem with the fact that the best gear is locked behind more difficult content. The games I played before joining SWTOR a few months ago all were designed that way - you beat higher tier raids you get better gear. That said, I am not a raider myself anymore, I did a few master mode flashpoints but haven't been to any operation yet and I don't intend to do so - which is why I do not need the gear that I could get there. Between my green base 320 gear and blue 326 master mode flashpoint gear I honestly don't see much of a difference (if any) in casual content, be it heroics or veteran flashpoints.

I really hope I that fix not only solves the issue for yet unclaimed cartel coins but also for those that were already claimed and not received... me being an idiot I claimed a bunch and then realized I didn't get them...

The problem with that is that EA is still on the safe side because you can still use these weapons, they are just bad in terms of stats. Obviously, from a players point of view this is unacceptable but from EAs point of view (and from the laws point of view) everything is perfectly fine. They got your money and you can't do anything about it.

What exactly did you sell? I didn't know you could sell this Jawa scrap (also, I didn't know there is a green version of it, I thought Jawa scrap was always epic quality) at the GTN. But then again, why is it worth so much, I haven't seen anything super useful to do with it yet.

Isn't the legacy alignment unlock only there for the character creation? That you can start the sith warrior story with a jedi sage playstyle so to say. My jedi knight was dark 5 and I was able to change my first combat style (story completed, level 60).

The blaster rifle looks absolutely horrible. It reminds me of those improvised scrap metal weapons from Fallout 4 and I hated those with a passion in this game because they looked so awful, yet they were fitting to the theme of the game and the stage at which they were found (early low level weapon trash). But here we are talking about endgame gear- the stuff that is supposed to look especially cool and we are not playing in some kind of post apocalyptic wasteland scenario. That thing has textures that look like wood, why did they have to pick this skin? There are hundreds of cool looking generic weapons that I got from leveling, but they had to pick the worst of them, for pretty much all weapon types. I really don't understand it, feels like they wanted to annoy people with this on purpose.
