  1. I'd actually like to see animal companions, melee tank/dps of course. Would also greatly reduce the need (and developer time) for new conversations.
  2. Agreed. I'm a reasonably new player, have finished 4 class stories so far and only, a juggernaut, is at lvl 55. I love that class, but there is little to nothing left I want to do on that class. I did the group and raiding thing to death in other games, it holds little appeal to me now. So, 4 more class stories and I'll prolly go look somewhere else. Also, the very concept of dailies was imho the worst concept ever added to MMOs.
  3. I'm annoyed to no end with his hind roller not being centered on the axle...
  4. Nah, you would constantly spoiler yourself with your visions...
  5. http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=22
  6. One time I got impatient while moving up, when it was almost at the top I moved forward and managed to fall between the platform and the shaft to my death.
  7. So, at the end her sister found her mother and we go to Tattooine and find out she's dead. The cutscene where the mother lies dead on the table: she blinked at least three times... I seriously thought the story would turn, that she would be ok and make a happy ending, but nope. Blinking corpse...
  8. I recently did the complete storyline with a concealment operative (dps tree), and did it with only using tank companions, first Kaliyo of course, and SCORPIO once I got her for a change of pace. Half way through I removed the standard healing abilities of my hotbars cause I simply wasn't using them. I did a Combat Medic trooper, used both tanks. Even on some gold fights I only had to use trauma probe (with tree skills upgrades) to keep him alive. I am also doing Makeb on my Juggernaut with Jaesa without too much trouble, she is 55 now, never used Quinn once on Makeb. Put proper gear on them, take a good look at your abilities and it works just fine. And no, I'm not a veteran player that can throw tons of credits at the GTN for upgrades, I've only been playing for two months or so. IMHO, using a healing companion makes you lazy. And slow, even in dps stance they spend too much time healing every little bit of damage you take (who cares if the mob is at 10% health, have to heal master, he is at 99%!) so their own dps in negligible.
  9. I wonder about that, I use a lot of stealthing and find I have trouble keeping up with lvls, just got to Correlia at lvl 46. And I've done most questlines, including bonus lines, even got the 30% exp boost to class quests (legacy), use exp boosts, sleep in rest zones. I didn't have that problem with my sith warrior and trooper. I think all those pesky lil mobs add up to quite a bit of exp in the end.
  10. Try not to, you might be amazed. I level up a dps operative with Kaliyo and SCORPIO as companions, even moved the heals off of my hotbars since I never used them. Makes you learn when to use those interrupts, stuns and short duration buffs.
  11. Agreed, was kindda disappointed that only the first companion gives extra missions and the others are just talk.
  12. Anyone else get this warning message ever so often when trying to use backstab while they are clearly standing behind the mob? I never was a big fan of positional combat but trying to do it and then getting an error anyway is quite annoying. It's not happening because of a bad connection, I'm usually around 50ms on the meter thingie.
  13. The main quest starts in the orbital station, you tried there yet?
  14. Been playing games, on and offline, for a long time. And the main reason why I switched to playing mostly female avatars is because in most games the animations for females are just way better. It's usually the male running animations that annoy me. Funny thing about SW:ToR is that it does feel akward for me to romance male companions, heh.
  15. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks the new loadingscreen is crap.

    Fuse

Kindda funny, I named my trooper F'use without knowing I'd run into Fuse.
  17. The above ppl are right of course. Just want to point out why this is: you can at any moment cancel a conversation or even abandon a mission completely and restart it from the beginning, making different choices. So if you would get the points immediantely you could abuse the system by abandoning and redoing the same thing over and over and be at Dark V with the first mission that gives dark points.
  18. Cause I thought it would be very handy to be able to make blue armoring and mods for this character and my other characters cause you never get enough commendations to fill all your and your companions' armor... Now this worked out reasonable well for the cybertech character eventhough it was a bit costly (still a pretty new player). Then I tried to do it for an alt... Well, everyone here who does crafting themselves will probably know how that worked out. Waaaay too much of a timesink to even do one lvl of gathering, crafing, reverse engineering, etc. And having to redo that every few lvls for an alt... And having to do it on a different character instead of the one you want to be playing, logging back and forth (maybe it's my comp but it takes a while to switch). It's just not worth it. Now we have this legacy thingie and it got me thinking how wonderful it would be if I could access the crewmembers from other characters in my legacy and send them on missions and do the crafing.
  19. How does the damage rating on your weapon and the damage stated in the various skills work together?
  20. One of the big selling points of SWTOR over other MMOs is/was the storylines. Some people, like me, actually enjoy stories. But stories kindda suck when it's building up to what is supposed to be an epic encounter with your class nemesis just to stamp him into the ground in 10 seconds flat. Imagine going to to see The Avengers and after all the build up to the final battle in the city it lasts only 10 seconds. That's what it's like.
  21. I have the same issue, though it's only rarely and so far logging out to character select and back in seems to fix it. At first I thought it was a memory leak of the game but I have had it happen once when I just freshly logged on.
  22. If he had multiple lvl 50s I doubt he would have this problem to begin with...
  23. Yes, but it would be the last time as the foreman will have the blackmarket merchant dealt with, leaving the old couple without income after. I too frowned at this mission. What annoyed me here was that you actually have to collect TWO bags of supplies, so the logical solution would be to give both parties one, imho.
