  1. It is free to craft legacy storage. Haven't crafters been whining for a while about not being able to craft things that were available with CCs? Now you are given an option to make in game credits by crafting/selling something major like this and people still complain?
  2. Instead of allowing people to opt out of double XP, why not just enable a mentor leveling system, as is normal in most games? People who don't want to level as quickly can set themselves back a few levels, and people who want to blow through everything but endgame can still do it. Personally, I hate double XP. I am leveling a tank right now exclusively PvP, and want to level as slowly as possible so that I can actually get decent at PvP. It is much easier for me to learn a new class PvPing while leveling than it is being thrown in with vets who refuse to play ranked.
  3. Your original post was argumentative. Your tone was looking to pick a fight with anyone who disagrees with you. You obviously know housing is a big deal to a lot of MMO players. If you honestly wanted to have a conversation, you wouldn't have started with guns drawn calling it a 'load of crap'. You didn't want to say you opinion, you wanted to shove it down people's throats. And if you honestly feel that this implies you are a nobody, you need some thicker skin.
  4. I often buy from the cartel market instead of using credits. Let's say that legacy storage is either 1,500 CC or 3,000,000 credits. I can make about 400,000 credits/hour in game. That means I have to put 7.5 hours in to buy it with credits. Conversely, I can buy cartel coins for $0.007 / CC. That means legacy storage costs me $10.91. Less than one hour work at my job pays for that $10.91. Essentially, using in game credits: 7.5 hours of work to get legacy storage using CC, less than one hour of work to get legacy storage It all comes down to how you value your time. Dailies are not the fun part of the game for me. Instead of spending mindless hours running dailies, I will spend a fraction of that time working IRL, convert real world money into credits/CCs, and enjoy the parts of the game I like with a whole lot less grinding. It isn't laziness, it is simple math.
  5. And yet again, buy in with credits from a crafter.
  6. What forces you to spend your monthly CC the minute they are added to your account? Have some self control. Save them up for a few months so that you can buy something bigger.
  7. Look me up in game and I can show you where to find crafting trainers. Shocking, I know, but you can actually craft things yourself. This is an MMO. You are 'at the mercy' of someone else for every aspect of the game. If you don't like that, go back to your single player games. Relying on other people is kind of the point of games like this.
  8. Why do you care? Just enjoy the game and stop complaining about something this trivial. They don't owe you double experience any time.
  9. Oh look, another article claiming video games leads to anti social behavior and violence. What video game caused that kind of s**t in the crusades? Or genocide in WWII? We all know antisocial/violent behavior didn't start until the 1990's!
  10. I sincerely hope they never add the ability to use 3rd party tools or mouseover healing. One of the major things SWTOR has over WoW or Rift is that you CAN'T use macros/moseover/etc. It prevents raids from being so mind numbingly boring that you can blindly smash your macros and feel 'l33t' about clearing difficult content. Mouseover healing is to regular healing as Kuat Drive Yards is to regular grouped content. Both need to be out of the game for good.
  11. My god, are you a masochist? I have played this game for over two years and have done every daily MAYBE 10 times. It isn't worth it. What would drive you to want to do dailies that often?
  12. One big thing I would love is a mentor leveling system. I really enjoy playing with some low level players, helping them along, etc. I would love to be able to set myself back to level 20 or 30 and queue for group content. Since I can't it means I am in the position where I am on my 4th version of a few classes, as ridiculous as that sounds.
  13. That's my problem...I got a tamagotchi as a tattoo. I was passionate about those things, and damnit I thought they would last.
  14. Not regretting it and answering "no" when asked if you would get it again are two different things.
  15. As someone who got a tattoo at 19 who is now 28 year old, please take my advice and never get one. No matter how cool you think it is.
  16. If F2P was actually only to try the game, it wouldn't let you get farther than level 30 or so. If it were to let you try the game only, it would give you 20 hours of free playtime and then force you to subscribe to get any more. Being able to get to end game isn't 'trying' a game. Increasing what F2P can do doesn't make the game better. It pushes more people away from subscriptions, lowering revenue to EA which prevents them from having the money to develop new content.
  17. It is utter stupidity to want in-game combat logging. The game is fun, it isn't a job. In-game combat logging leads to raids where you have to quantifiably prove certain output stats before joining. That is a job, not fun. In-game combat logs, combat related macros and addons do nothing but make the game less challenging and feel more like work than a game. No thanks.
  18. I have yet to see a reasonable argument FOR account-wide datacron unlocks. The only argument for it is "I am too lazy to get them again"
  19. So essentially you are asking for hour long queue times for PvP just so that you have more balanced arenas? No thanks, I will pass on that.
  20. You idiot! We aren't supposed to talk about that server in front of other people. Did you forget the rules? The first rule of the Tank/Healer server is you don't talk about the Tank/Healer server. The second rule of the Tank/Healer server is you don't talk about the Tank/Healer server!
  21. Interesting, I didn't realize allowing cross server queues would magically make the ratio of healers and tanks to DPS go up. Did you think this through at all before posting?
  22. None of those are ethical questions, and our government's policies cater specifically to the lower classes. Not to the ultra rich... What is ethical is a purely subjective question. There is no right or wrong answer to "is something ethical"
  23. What on earth makes you think the game flopped? It is commonly ranked in the top 5 MMOs on the market today. Or are you one of those inane "if it didn't beat WoW, it is a flop" kind of people?
  24. Yes. Earn. earn verb (used with object) 1. to gain or get in return for one's labor or service And I can't begin to describe how stupid this comment is. It is a multiplayer game. It makes sense to be able to help other players out (which is what you are describing). Legacy perks do nothing but incentivize players to help themselves instead of relying on the multiplayer aspect of the game, which is nothing short of stupid.
