I've been using Windows 10 Home since it has been available and I have had no issues with SWTOR at all.

I thought Bioware explained things just fine in the livestream. I understand that some people are upset about the coming changes but that is how an MMO game works as it ages and expands. Things change. It's all a part of an MMO's ever-changing lifespan. Things will be taken away and things will be added over time. Quests, achievements, items and gear, npc's, entire game mechanics, will come and go. The things being removed are being removed for everyone, myself included. I spent hours/days/months/years, credits, and so on working on the same achievements and crafting as the next person has. I am not upset one bit about things being reworked and/or removed. Bioware will never be able to make everyone happy. No gaming company could. The percentage of users on the forums is just a small, very small, sample of the player base for any game of this size. Bioware will take the game in the direction that they feel is best and we can either accept the changes or move on. They make more money from the cash shop, unlocks, and packs than they ever would from our subscriptions. That's the reason so many MMO's have transitioned over to the free to play model over the last 5+ years. If some folks decide to unsubscribe it's not going to hurt them in the long run. I will continue to subscribe and play the game. Why? Because I enjoy it and I do not see the "doom and gloom" that others keep complaining about. At least give it a chance. Check out the changes when they go live and take things from there. You may be surprised, and like it after all * Edited to add : No. Cybertech's will not make armoring any longer. Armormech's will according to the livestream.

The title of this thread alone tells me where the OP is at in regards to people playing the game that we all enjoy. "noob F2P"? Subscribers are in no way any better or more deserving than a F2P player. Just because we subscribe that does not make us any more "loyal" or deserving of anything. We are just paying a monthly fee to rent certain game perks and features. I see this type of attitude often in games that have a free to play model and just shake my head and wonder if these people even understand how the free to play model works.

I'd love to have a Tython or Korriban stronghold.

People will see and hear what they want to see and hear... I don't think this is even close in comparison to the NGE that Galaxies went through. I like pretty much everything that I have heard is changing with 4.0, no complaints from me. Maybe that will change once it is live, we'll see.

That's the only reason I bought Treek and acquired HK for my account. I never use either one as my active companion.

You can not "boost" any character. It has to be a newly created character. I am not 100% sure about the character slot, but I thought I heard in the livestream that you would get one. Maybe someone else will be able to confirm or deny that for you.

You do not have to use it within the 7 day period. You can use it anytime that you choose to : tomorrow, next week, 6 months from now... it's good for as long as your account is in good standing, until you decide to use it. Hope that helps

I don't understand the fuss about the new launcher. I like it, but even if I didn't like it, who cares? It's just a launcher.

I subscribe because I enjoy the game. When I cease having fun and stop enjoying the game then I will unsubscribe.

I foresee a lot of level 60 characters being bought from the Cartel Market if people do not like to repeat quests. Good for them and it'll be good for the game financially. I'd never buy one myself. I enjoy the quests even after 15 characters with more to come

I agree with you 100%. I used to pvp for the fun of it but too many people would just act very rude and call people names, tell everyone they sucked, yell at people and then leave - screwing the rest of us, .... you name it. I no longer bother with the pvp in this game because of that very reason.

Unless it's been changed fairly recently every 90+ days that your account is inactive (not subscribed) you may use a code. I've used several over the last year.

It would be nice if you could choose the faction for your companion(s) when making an instant level 60 character but I understand why they would go with the generic default faction for Imperial and Republic. It makes sense to me and I won't complain.
