  1. Did you personally poll every player in the game to come up with a majority? They aren't changes, they're fixes to acknowledged known issues with incorrectly implemented armor sets which has been a known issue for a month now.
  2. Actually no, Joveth simply mentioned relaying feedback, other than that they aren't changing anything.
  3. Buying it off the GTN is their problem. Bioware acknowledged the at least 3 sets were incorrect and that they should look as advertised. This they did last year on 12/12/12 to be exact. The only people and really the only people that would have gotten screwed would have been anyone who bought a cartel pack before Bioware acknowledging it was wrong and Bioware didn't eventually fix what's advertised which they did fix. It's with anything that was unintentional, anyone who bought it off the GTN knowing it was incorrect & knowing Bioware said they intend to make it right has no right to complain. Anyone who didn't know is just ignorant of the known issues. Dev Tracker has a purpose & choosing not to use it is one's own choice and problem. Instead of ************ about them correcting known issues, better off submitting a suggestion that Bioware implement the unintentional design into the cartel market as well either in a pack or optional set.
  4. Says right there on 12/12/12: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5569050#edit5569050
  5. Not really, forums represent a miniscule percentage of the population, more like 5%. They changed it because it would be false advertising to not deliver what promo artwork on the pack displayed and thee dev tracker details them stating it was incorrect a month ago.
  6. Considering the promo was the intended version, that's what they delivered on. It's false advertising to those who bought the packs before BW acknowledged they were incorrect if BW didn't fix it so they did.
  7. Might as well quit now because they did say last year that it was wrong and that they were going to fix it in a patch.
  8. You can spend $300 and still not get either mask or throne or hoverchair. It's the fun of chance packs however by the same token you could have 10-30 crystals in return that sell for upwards of $2-3million each depending on your server
  9. There's no bait and switch, just blatant ignorance on the part of those for choosing to be unaware that this was an issue acknowledged last year that they said they would be fixing.
  10. The website and forums within are the official source of information regarding bugs, known issues, patch notes, and ignorance isn't an excuse.
  11. This SWTOR website is the official source of information for updates, known issues, patch notes, you choosing to not make yourself aware of such issues is your fault. Ignorance doesn't fly as an excuse when the information is there for everyone to read if they choose to do so.
  12. They acknowledged a few weeks ago that the art for Revan's robe was incorrect after someone pointed out to them that neither the promo art nor cartel items matched how Revan looks in-game.
  13. Again this is your problem not Bioware's. BW acknowledged the art was incorrect several weeks ago and that it would be fixed and that info was in the Dev Tracker. Anyone who bought the packs based on the in game appearance only or off the GTN really has nobody to blame but themselves if they are unhappy with Bioware correcting what they didn't implement right in the first place. Just saying people are trying to find excuses to make up for their own laziness in doing something as simple as following the tracker which stated it was wrong and that they were going to fix it. Don't even need the tracker, can see that those pieces are totally different in the promo art.
  14. Thank you for the clarification. Maybe now people will understand that that if they got an item with different artwork than what's shown in the promo that it's incorrect and likely to eventually be fixed and that the Dev Tracker is there for a reason and that this was noted last month as an issue and their fault for not following it.
  15. It's totally incorrect in comparison to the promo art which as Joveth stated originally how it is supposed to look. It's false advertisement not looking as it does it is in the promo. What it looks like in the GTN is irrelevant because the GTN wasn't where it originated, that was the cartel market so even one person buying a pack and getting misrepresented gear is grounds for potentially disputing the purchase based on that.
  16. Right here to be exact is where they acknowledge it incorrect. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5569050#edit5569050
  17. Doesn't matter who complained about what whether it was one, both or all 3, the Preceptor and Phantom were incorrect based on the representation on the cartel pack. Revan's lower robe was simply incorrect in it's design. Buying it solely based on the GTN is one's own ignorance to the fact that the item design is potentially incorrect. Just looking at the pack anyone can tell that they items are obviously wrong in in-game design. However according to Joveth, not even Joveth knows which is supposed to be intended as correct because obviously one or the other is wrong and it would have to be the in-game design because people who bought the cartel pack at some point or another were buying it based off what the pack photo displayed. First it's oh sorry this was unintentional then it's oh wait let me see which is supposed to be right and get back. The most critical issue is the person who paid money for the cartel pack and got an armor set that doesn't look like what's represented which for all purposes comes down to false advertising and grounds for disputing the charges if not remedied while buying off the GTN is irrelevant.
  18. The original complainers pointed out to Bioware that the gear was misrepresented in the first place so all Bioware did was correct this. Ignorance of not knowing what the cartel pack representation of the armor doesn't really fly as an excuse being they were obviously cartel items. I liked the original Phantom as implemented but knew it was wrong and that they'd fix it eventually so just said whatever.
  19. The 5% that post on the forums doesn't account for the "player base".
  20. It's still supposed to look at the very least close to what's represented especially since Phantom, Preceptor are 2 major pieces of that pack. Revan's robe is just ultimately incorrect in design either way and BW was made aware of that.
  21. So which is it then? Cartel pack stock photo incorrect or the actual item is incorrect? Because one or the other should represent accurately what's it look like so all this drama is avoided in the future.
  22. That's your problem then because the cartel pack stock photo shows it's obviously incorrect. A bit of logic would tell you that it not reflecting what was in the stock photo was false advertising if they left it as is.
  23. Buying it off the GTN is your problem though and not BW's fault that you didn't pay attention to the fact it wasn't as advertised and BW has every right to make it correct.
