I like the Alliance too and SOR because it wasn't just the same war over and over again.

I seriously doubt that they are going to do an "only story through FP" type thing. I imagine that they are going to do, what they did in the SOR expansion, where they introduced it both through new questlines on planets and FP. I don't know why people always jump to the "all or nothing" conclusion. They said an "SOR type expansion" not "Story through FP only". I think it will likely be a mix. Anything else wouldn't make sense - especially not with Charles being one of the main people on the project as he loves story.

Depending on the intel he can provide you might need to. It's not like this type of thing doesn't happen with criminals in real life for example. And depending on what resources you have at your disposal you can do pretty dark things to him, that ensures he isn't a risk.

Well, if he is imprisoned you can still use him for briefings and such. You just either visit him in his cell, use a holo transmission or have him escorted into the room with handcuffs on.

Depends on how they do it. If I was a dev I'd simply put T7 in instead of Theron. No extra VA needed and Theron could still be relevant to those, who kept him alive.

Its very rare though for Jedi to not at least struggle with attachment from time to time. My jk followed the Jedi code to the letter until everything with the eternal throne. Seeing the knights and getting to know Senya especially gave her a different outlook. Also, attachment in itself doesn't lead to the dark side - obsession does. Examples (bewarespoilers): Malgus killed his love because his love for her pulled him to the light. Arcanns love for Senya set him on the path to the light side. Senyas love for Arcann was a fundamental part of his conversion to the light.

If they would just make a substitute like T7, who you can't kill, and keep Theron for the rest I would be fine with it. Especially, since with him it wouldn't cost money for another VA. That would be a good compromise IMO. Another idea could be not a kill option, but an imprison/torture/slave collar option. Let us say his has Intel and skills you need, so you can't kill him, but you can still punish him and keep him story relevant. Wold that work for you, lord Paul? And I know. I felt filthy on my two Jedi's who turned against her. I have to make a grey Jedi to make up for it. When playing a with I found the choice on Iokath much easier to make.

That might be. I only know there is an option of some sort, but I haven't used it. Anyways, it doesn't really matter as you get XP no matter what and you can do the story missions just for the fun of it. But getting back to the topic, it must be possible to make the story parts repeatable. I know we have alts and so on, but my alts all made different choices and have different romances, so replaying it is fun. I would like to see the following be repeatable: Iokath The new FP(with actual story content): Umbrara, Copero and Nathema Companion alerts (specifically the newest romance ones) All story content going forward no matter if it is FP, story instances or something else It must be possible to do.

I actually believe there is an NPC on fleet that can make you turn of all your extra XP gain - so you level "normally". I could be remembering wrong, but I am pretty sure that option is there.

I don't think the problem was ever the chapters themselves, but the fact that people blamed the chapters for lack of group content. The chapters were (and still is) a good idea, but it can't be their only focus. The toxic nature of this forum seems to create all or nothing situations, which really suck. I'm fine with them creating an SOR like expansion, but make the story parts repeatable.

I don't say this to discredit your numbers or anything like that, but that also really depends on what type of people those were. Usually having a connection to that many people means that you do a lot of group content - which KOTFE and KOTET didn't provide. So It's natural (if sad) to see this number drop. But let's say that until this point all the people, who joined the game just for the story, would sub, when new story came out and then cancel their subscription right after, this would create the same effect. KOTET gave them new content each month, which kept them subscribed. If this group is in many ways larger than they "heavy OPS and PVP players", then maybe it simply was a better business for BioWare (not saying it was, because I don't have the numbers). So while your numbers certainly give an idea of what is going on it's only a small picture. It's also a very big time frame, so to make these numbers more accurate to draw a conclusion from, they should be divided into 6 months segments.

I partially agree with you. It is an MMO, but the way it is different from other MMO's is the story part. In many ways this game is as much an RPG as it is an MMO. Now that being said, this game has to cater to different types of players. In some ways they have a lot more different types of people than many other MMO's, who often only have PVP and PE (it doesn't mean they don't have story, but it isn't really and RPG). For that reason the name does need to create a lot of different content, and can't really ignore any of it. For that reason it will also take longer to produce content you like, if you only identify as one type of player. Personally I do Story, OPS and PVP/starfighter (though rarely). In that sense I am lucky because I get to try the new content - if I have the time. My absolute favorite part is the story and for that reason I want to see more of it. And while I enjoy other parts of the game, the RPG element is what I truly love and makes this game so much fun for me. But the game shouldn't be catering to only the "story only fanbase" and I think it's very few who identifies with just one out of the three mentioned by the OP.

You're right. But I think there is some miscommunication between what a chapter is. I am all for doing a full expansion like SOR, but where it has the repeatable chapter function. I think there is the potential for some middle ground here. If/when they make an expansion like SOR simply dividing it into both chapters and FP and make the story content repeatable. As much as I would love the chapter each month thing, I also realize that expansions like SOR did better in hindsight, but it should still be possible to make the story content repeatable - which I would be fine with.

I'm absolutely fine with the FP. I just wish they would be repeatable with the actual story. I don't understand, why you don't get the actual story stuff running FP like Umbrara or Copero solo. Also, I think they should add the "must bring" companions the way they do the droid in the SOR FP, and then let you also bring the companion of your choice. Then you wouldn't get stuck with a companion like Temple, who a lot of people didn't have leveled at all.

I loved SOR and I am fine with them making this kind of expansion. The only thing I would really like, is for the story content to be repeatable.
