  1. That would be pretty cool, as long as it were new decos, and not just a collection of existing ones. I also feel like there could be more NPC decorations (and not ridiculously rare) These are currently limited and I know a lot of folks, including myself enjoy setting up scenes in their strongholds or guild ships.
  2. it must work or they would not be doing it obviously... I can go to my friends of SWTOR page right now and show where probably 20% of people who used my link became subs... FOR BW/EA that is a system that works.... your statement is based on nothing but opinion.
  3. lol seriously... if by taking advantage of new players you mean giving them free goodies to boost their game in return for a few cartel coins then... that is called Reciprocity. Salty much?
  4. I have never bothered bringing quinn back from the MIA list...
  5. Agreed... You clearly did not think into this idea at all... The moment that in game credits (which are earned by in game activities) Become obtainable by paying the company who runs the game real money... that is the moment it becomes essentially from all economic perspectives pay to win. You really do NOT want this.... no one else wants this either.... Because once they start making money on this they will slowly tweak it until the only way to do anything more than "get by" in game is to spend real money on it. Then the game will die. In economic terms the opportunity cost will become too high and demand will decrease to where the product is not sustainable (people will literally quit the game over this) Greed corrupts all and it would be no different in this situation. Keep the in game currency (Credits) totally separate from real world currency.
  6. For every day that this is broken, a day needs to be added to the event duration... it is only fair...
  7. I personally like to setup scenes in parts of my stronghold. In my hanger I have a mandalorian interogating a twiilek Smuggler The smuggler npc is moving his hands around arguing his point and whatnot. I wish there were more NPC decorations that had animations or did something other than stand there. Imagine a guild ship that on it's bridge had computer terminals and "Imperial Navigator/Technician/Scientist/Officer/Whatever Standing/Sitting ( in a chair) at workstation Or like...Imperial Trooper Arresting Suspect. Imperial Trooper Searching Object Imperial Trooper waving through Person Imperial Trooper firing (like the guys shooting the womprats on tatooine?) Sith Choking person Officer being choked by force choke Civilian being choked by force choke Etc You get the drift.... Would make it all feel more active and alive. and would make for some cool setups of scenes.
  8. I just wish you had as an option in your stronghold window or maybe in the stronghold itself.... give us the OPTION of companions or whatever to be Holograms or physical (like they are there) that would be nice.
  9. Wouldn't it be great if the SWTOR app had some of these features? Send companions on crew skill missions. add crafting queue View Legacy Tab and for the life of me I cannot figure out why they have not come up with this one yet.... View, browse, and purchase items from the Cartel Market Window. Purchase Cartel Coins FOR said cartel market. ( you gotta appeal to EA's desire for profit to get anything done so there it is) Access the Cosmetic Character Designer and adjust/change characters appearance with same or similar interface that you do in the terminal available in game. ( This one might be more logistically challenging) I know what folks will say easier said than done... well most things are. Every single one of these suggestions, while requiring an investment of $$$, time, and infrastructure could be profitable for BW/EA so the question really is if all these features for an app would be worth the Time, money, infrastructure investment... i do not know... but if it is, then I do not see why they would not pursue it. I imagine the app would be free and the expenditure of cartel coins via the app would be where they make their money. Perhaps to unlock each feature there is a fee or you have to purchase it with cartel coins? Idk the economics of how it might work, but it could. If EA/BW use my idea, ima be expecting free lifetime subscription and 8000 CC a month for helping them make all that cheddar ;D
  10. I only have like 15 toons, only about 4-5 65-70s I think a good compromise is to make the command rank legacy wide ONLY to toons of the same class... that would be a good compromise I think.
  11. I took the mods out of the new armor that you get in command crates, and applied those new mods armorings, and enhancements to my old legacy armor which was augmented. It did *** a significant amount of increase to my HP Total as well as Shield absorb and whatnot. So if you are going into PVP then I would imagine that is going to be a factor up against others who are geared with the newer stuff.... I think you will still enjoy PVP you just may not have the edge that those who have updated their gear may.
  12. Look man, no one CARES that you guys will run it in the future... this feels like a slap in the face. Run it in the future, fine.... but if you are gonna do that, then perhaps make a separate tab for that future event, and keep the one that we worked on, spent time on and effort on the same. Let me give an example Dark VS Light I Dark VS Light II OR Dark VS Light 2016 Dark VS Light 2017 ..... But I digress! Let us ask ourselves what is more alarming? The fact that they clearly are not ruling out the possibility of an event in which you just recycle the same old content. An event that makes you play the same stuff you could play anytime of the year...and have been able to play for the longest time prior to said event... the only new thing is the rewards. Rewards are great and all, but who the hell wants rewards in a game that instead of coming out with NEW features, content, and whatnot... simply... gives you slightly different rewards for REPLAYING the same game.... To hell with that. I am not against a future DVL event at all actually, But I hope that a future DVL event would not mean that nothing else special is happening during that time window. This year for example we did not get Nar Shadda Nightlife, which could have easily overlapped with DVL. I am sure the studios have their own motivations behind why they might run it again. But, the point I make is simple....or actually not so simple bear with me... Folks are only going to stick around for so long without new content ( I exclude the KOTFE and KOTET type stuff) specifically multiplayer content, the new uprisings my guild and I have been enjoying, so this is on the right track. the DVL event took MONTHS for me personally to finish and I only finished it a few days before it ended. it is so much to accomplish as far as 100% completion you have to have a huge time window like that and that is both justified and necessary with something where you must check so many boxes off of your list. My fear is that, like this year, instead of new events coming out, the yearly "BIG EVENT" is just recycling the existing content of the game into a checklist. DVL is a cool event... the concept is cool... But I hope it does not stop the devs from the possibility of having overlapping smaller scale events. and should they do this ideal situation with something NEW as well as DVL every year. I hope that the DVL achievements are not so daunting that the playerbase feels, through the incentive of the DVL rewards that is, like DVL is all they can focus on. In my guild, even for people that play hours and hours a day and finished their DVL well in advance of the events completion, felt the pressure to help guildies and friends complete theirs. So those people had to do the stuff even MORE and were not really able to get back to the other many great elements the game has to offer until the event ended. Anyone that looks at the DVL event checklist can clearly see that the event is, at least as part of it's intent, designed to make people subscribe. For example, you cannot reach 1 Million credits without being a sub, You cannot then purchase the DVL datacron deco required for one of the checkbox achievements without being a sub. You cannot access a lot of the content required without being a sub. As a F2P player, it is possible to do the first few levels and that is fine. I know to enjoy the full game and all it's offerings you must sub, and as a sub I am fine with that. I love this game and do not mind supporting it. So I think with the aforementioned section in mind, the DVL is sure to return, because I would be willing to bet that it gained more subscribers. Personally I know everyone would love a new monthly event ( e.g Gree, Bounty week, Rakghouls.) For me as a somewhat newer player who came back in mid summer I did not mind doing it since a lot of it I had not done prior anyway. I liked the rewards and have enjoyed them for the record. If DVL comes back, I hope new events do too!
