I agree completely, but what's easier for the devs: making a lousy event and then moving on to the next lousy event, or fixing something? This is a griefers paradise so there's a tidal wave of support for it from all the people otherwise bored with the game.

The best thing about the event is the constant trolling of people trying to convince everyone how fantastic it is to stand in one place for 15 minutes. If you love rakghouls just go to Taris and stay there.

It's clear most players love standing in one place for 15 minutes. It's really a fantastic idea that should be extended to more games. Perhaps the next plague can force you to log out for three hour blocks, or automatically resubscribe your account.

Just give subs an option to be immune, even if that means not being able to engage in the event quests. Right now I consider what's left of my sub useless because I won't pay for vaccine just to quest, and I can't PvP because the vaccine buff disappears on death. It's as dumb as the rest of this event.

If this pathetic "event" is going to run for weeks I'm glad I've got a stack of books ready to go. I won't pay to be griefed by developers.

It's crap. Want to quest? Sorry, you're infected and will die due to freezing up every few seconds. Spend those creds on something completely stupid thrown in by the devs. Want to PvP? Sorry, you're infected and will die due to freezing up every few seconds. Spends those creds and... whoops! Your only real option is to log in and do nothing. It's a terrible event defended by terrible players.

You can't hand-wave away bad game mechanics. It's not a force power.

I decided to just let my sub lapse rather then spend the entire event offline to avoid it. You can't prevent getting infected without spending alot of money, and you can't play once you get infected because of the constant freezes. It's the dumbest event I've ever seen in an MMORPG, and I've seen alot of them. Purely designed for griefers and people who enjoy going online to stand in one place for 15 minutes at a time. You won't a single person that says they enjoy this event that is not using it purely to grief other players trying to get their money's worth.

Mine is already set to run as admin. Not helping.
