I tried several new characters on Republic side and for all of them I can't get Lieutenant Xonan to spawn to give me his quest in the base in Ord Mantel. I have the side missions box checked on the map screen and it shows me where he is suppose to be, but he doesn't show up on my screen and there's nothing to interact with there.

If you just want to play from your home then don't get a laptop if your looking for bang for your buck. Build it yourself or have a computer suave friend help you build it. You'll get a better system that way than going with laptop or prebuilt for same price and more than likely come in a good bit under your budget. If you have a LCD tv pass on moniter since you'll be able to play it on that. If you don't then get one instead if a moniter since they are much cheaper than computer moniters, unless you plan or re-using old moniter. AMD processors are a lot cheaper than intel comprables and actually process graphics better. There are tons of sites that you can order computer stuff from so shop around for best deals. I payed $1050 for my system but i spent a huge chunk on on new OS, solid state drive and graphics card. If you don't want latest and greatest everything I can imagine you could come in way under that. *sigh* Now if they had something better than this gimpy dsl where I live, I'd be sety

Why do you think it's all us having a lil fun before a real answer gets out are the problem here. When on starting planets and you see "What level do I get a lightsaber at?" at least once a minute, or on second planet "What level so I get my ship?"at same frequency. In my humble opinion if your that oblivios to what's being said you deserve to be poked at a lil. Afterwards though I will give you a straight answer. My biggest problem is these people want to know the ending before watching the movie. Play a lil and enjoy, it'll all make sense. As far as mechanics questions always a straight answer. How to get advanced class, straight answer, I think BW did a poor job of this and mission should say go talk to so and so on fleet not take transport to (insert planet name here). Plus once again I repeat forums are great source of information. Maybe we wouldn't see all the silly questions if people would use them?

Also look into AMD cores. Much cheaper for comperable core and AMD cores are actually designed to process graphics.

Been playing MMOs for 13 years now. If you ask a question in general chat here's how I'm gonna respond. 1)The question is a legitimate question and you'll recieve a legitimate answer. 2)The question is asking to give away story so answer will ruin it for others in which you'll get a whisper. 3)The question defies common sense or is something you should know already (forums aren't just there for you to complain about stuff) in which I'll have fun with you a lil, but you will also get an answer shortly there-after. 4)The question is spammed or an obvious troll in which I'll just make fun of you. Some people are rude, learn to ignore them or actually use ignore if you don't want to hear them.

There is a moddable piece that looks exactly like this. I have it on my sentinel. It is a lvl 15 modable med armor. I'll look up name post it when I get home this afternoon.

Since noone else is adressing this allow me. Eternalnight are we playing the same game? Maybe you should read the forums better? There are focus item with mitigation stats on them. In fact you get one when you choose your advanced class. Consulars use focus items. Guardians use shields. Vanguards use shield generators. All of which come in with and without mitigation options, and will have stats that apply to appropriate class. Either you are living in your own fantasy, trolling, an idiot, or you are trying to justify your actions. If you want to roll in it just ask group first. Almost always you'll get a sure go ahead response.

Let me re- iterate, as a healer I don't want or need your guard, it's wasted on me. Most of the time I will be out of range of your guard. I would rather the tank have agro or dps burning the mob down. If I' m getting attacked it's probably from a ranged mob outside of group. If it's a mele, unless there's more than 1 which means your not doing your job, I will simply stun and force lift it until team gets around to it. Why place guard on someone who is'nt in range to benefit from it? Not telling you who to guard nor do I care if you guard anyone. Unless your a shadow who stealths past a group I can't get around or a tank that jumps past two other groups to attack one in rear or a DPS that doesn't follow kill order, you can rest assured I will dedicate my entire being to keeping you healthy and able to fight.

Haven't been playing very long and plan on finishing up my vanguard right after I get done with my sage. From what I have seen and from prior military expirience this is what I think. There were plenty of indicators they were going to go rogue. The fact that not many even knew of the bomb and that they deflected any questioning of finding the mole was a pretty good one. Jorgen is a jerk hands down and nowhere close to officer material. You excelled at academy, got choosen to be on the most elite squad in the rupublic, yet Jorgen treats you like dirt right off the bat without ever seeing what you're capable of. This is a blaring indication of bad leadership. Respect the rank not the person, comes yo mind with every dealing with him. He been with me for a while and got screwed earlier is not a good reason to promote someone. If he wasn' t forced on me I wouldn' t even have him on my team. As for a second in command? I plan on running like Sheppard from Mass Effect. As an XO I need someone who eill balance out my command style but except my decisions. That makes it a pretty clear choiceas Dorne being the only logical choice. Yo

That's not exactly what I meant. I use force persuasion very little. Naive and wanting to help out are also completely different. Qyzen loved it when you spared Youn and protected her from outside influence. Why would he have a problem with you doing it for the other masters. He understands what you are doing and knows they suffer from same sffliction Youn did. So sparing them shouldn't garner any negative affection what-so-ever. Theran just rubs me all kinds of wrong. I don't find him charming or suave, just irritating. He knows you're a jedi. So if I have tried several means to end a conflict peacefully and my choices are to fight or use powers to persuade, you think the lil pacifist jerk would be happy. The other 3 I can sorta understand but your first 2 companions are complete hypocrits.

We don't get force quake until much later unless I'm miising some super secret trainer that has it by lvl 24

Oh I know what you mean. The problem is developers at Bioware assume everyone who plays is a male. Which is why male characters get good romancing options. In the meantime us girls have to deal with whiny sniveling men who have little boy coddle me complexes. If you need references look at either Dark Age or any of the Mass Effect games. I hated Allister and Fenris for these reasons.

I have several problems with the story or at least how it's played out so far for me. 1. I'm playing a jedi not a sith so I want to go LS. Killing the masters is darkside and not jedi way, period. Yes they were doing or trying to do bad things, but this while being controlled by someone else. You end up in a fight with every one of them, at the end of the fight they are still alive unable to fight further, very clearly at your mercy. So yes there is no justification to killing them as a jedi. If you want to become a sith then by all means kill away, but you should get a different title, not highest honor title of the order. 2. Companions. Why is the consular story set up to where all you do is piss off companions. Show mercy to any master afflicted by mind control curse, serious hatred, except Yuon, this makes Qyzen a hypocrit in my books and irks me to no end. Help out little kids, Qyzen hates. Be nice to officials and help out, Qyzen hates. Use your powers to stop an unnecessary conflict, Theran hates. It's like every companion you get has to be bribed to like you and I'm pretty sure that goes against jedi way. I don't want to go darkside, if I wanted to do that I would have played a sith. Without going darkside there's hardly anything you can do to make these ppeople happy. So most companions are completely incompatible with jedi way.

Playing a healer I don't want your guard, I play in back so don't get any benefit from it more often than not, so it's wasted on me. I've seen tanks and dps who are bad. I chastise tanks that break cc before killing rest of group of mobs. If you are a dps who pulls I'll give you one warning. If that doesn't convince you then I just won't heal you but will make sure rest of group is pampered in bubbles and heals. If you die repeatedly oh well. If you start playing right I'll once again bless you with my healing abilities. If the tank is taking their time I don't care. I'm in no rush and wouldn't have queued if I didn't have time. Unless I'm being neglected and adds aren't being picked up, you will never have to worry about "am I going to get a heal" and if you are you might want to look my way because I am fighting for my life, and guess what, I'm out of range of your guard. I have voted to kick one player. A commando who would pull differnt mob groups than the one tank was engaging and would more often than not drag them through third group on way back, plus he insisted to roll need on every piece of gear no matter the stats on it.

Not necessarily true. I just recently started playing and made a shadow tank first. I was dinking along and thought I was doing fine. I could'nt have been more wrong. I'm an alt-aholic, so one day while not feeling like playing my shadow I rolled a healer sage. Follow group around and throw out heals and bubbles. I then had a chance to see someone else play a shadow tank and realized that although I was learning my class as my shadow I wasn't learning to play it effectively, which is a big difference. I know there are you-tube videos out there but I don't want the spoilers that go with said videos and are also not helpful since I don't have a large number of abilities used on said videos. If anything I would suggest a different class to start with. A healer or ranged DPS so you can sit in the back and see how other people are playing, both good and bad. Will make you a better tank in the end than trying to play one yourself first play through. I found that even with double xp I was able to test out and see effectivness and uses of skills on companion before I ever used them on other players while playing my healer.

I'm playing a shadow and going lightside. Some people just deserve death but others are being controlled and deserve a little emathy. My biggest problem so far are consular companions aren't very agreeable with you for most lightside choices. Like BW trying to say you have to be darkside if you are a consular and want your companions to like you without bribing them.

Wow, look at all the elitest who are just so awesome on this post. I think most of you are missing the point, whether or not you are doing it on purpose or are to stupid to realize can be discussed later. Let's say that this isn't OP (insert number here) toon playing through. Let's say it's his first. Being over leveled doesn't help them learn their class because anything they do will work. Let's say they would rather not watch someone else play and learns better by a hands on approach. Unless you were super elite the first game you played the moment you started you have no right to bash them for wanting to learn their class. Lastly is anyone here able to read english. OP never said take it away from everyone or said it should go away. You would have to make a lot of assumptions to get that out of what he said, and you know what they say when you assume. He just stated that he would have liked for a way for him to turn it off just for themselves.

You clearly didn't read my whole post. I am in support of this. I was just pointing out to all the nay-sayers that OP wasn't asking that our class being a melee viable class to replace the others. Read whole quote, not just the first line and go into rage mode.

Are the people against this even reading the OP? It clearly states that they don't want to make the base melee attacks make the sage melee a viable option. I do think that it should be based off the primary stat just like every other classes base attacks are. To keep it from being over powered devs just have to scale back the amount it affects dmg. If you think this is rediculous then keep in mind that both saber strike and double strike are not sage skills, they are consular skills and sages are consulars just like shadows are. For all those are arguing against it are probably those other classes that want the "insert sword here for free xp" kills in pvp. Still not enough? I concede. Leave it as it is, but in return make all base skills for all classes dmg scale to something not their main stat and you'll never hear a word about this from another sage.

I think this whole shadow tank arguement is nonsense anyway. Shadow are from consular group so they don't use or need shield gens. They use foci and there are foci that have the shield stuff in them. Foci will never have str/end on them like shield gens, just will/end. I know I'm new to game but I've read the forums enough to know this. I play as a shadow tank and have never seen a shield gen that I had to ninja from a guardian or vanguard. I found your arguement based only in your own fantasies with no basis in real game mechanics.

I agree, need for improvemnets to my stuff greed for everything else. As far as companions, you rolling need for a companion or an alt or an alts companion is just selfish, you are just using need to give yourself an edge on others that actually contributed to ops, your companion wasn't there nor was the alt, exceptions being made for cases where dps switched to healer above. Mainly I think it's common sense but I had to ask before trying to do higher end content. I did't know or not if I would have to be in guild or not to do it so I wouldn't have to compete against every alt a person might have or those that think credits in game makes the universe go round.

That's silliness. If everyone did that I would never have a chance to get any high end gear for my main.
