  1. Hey all, Question is in the title really! I've played on and off from launch and levelled a guard and jugg to 55 however I've always strictly used immortals/defense and went the classic main tank role high mit etc and letting my DPS fall away in response to that. Now I'm levelling yet another guard and was thinking about playing with vigilance given I know how good it's meant to be in PVP, my question is really simple, can vigilance spec guards still perform as a main tank in PVE content? Cheers folks!
  2. Bioware, Why, you wanna tell me how to live my life? Who, are you to tell me if it's black (DS) or white (LS)?
  3. Hey all I've recently moved from TOFN over here in pursuit of an active RP guild! I'm literally just onto this server so dont have much in toonage yet but I have 50'd a guard and jugg on TOFN. Starting with something alittle new for me in a Shadow and trying to play him a grey jedi who is more about the safeguarding of the republic over the jedi code. I'm looking for a social guild that isn't ultra-hardcore with some RP events and running some FP's/OP's etc. Any guilds out there thinking I'd be a good fit let me know!
  4. Just to give this a bump and an update! I'm sitting currently at level 47 on my Jugg still looking for a guild to do OPs/PVP that is both 50 and pre-50 friendly! (I do love me an alt!) If any guilds out there think I'd fit give me a shout! Odynnor
  5. I run dual monitors aswell, make sure in the game settings you have 'fake fullscreen' enabled that should sort it!
  6. Hey guys, Tempted to roll a Shadow in the near future but wondering if the 'story' I want to give my character is compatible with the class story. Short version is I try and keep my toons grey and I like the idea of playing my Shadow as a kind of Jedi Enforcer, someone who does what he can to stay on the light side but will take someone out (ala assassinate) them if its in the best interests of the republic (or appears to be at the time). So basically is that compatible with the story? Let me know guys! Cheers
  7. Sorry to clarify I meant does every crafting skill have a set of items (say for Artifice hilts) that only the person who crafted it can use?
  8. Mm did not know that, does every crafting skill have a 'unique' item that only it can create? Say Artifice specifically lol?
  9. Ok hate to contradict but you absolutely can send cross faction if it is in the same legacy. I'm currently crafting entire armour sets on my lvl 50 Jedi Guard to my Sith Jugg as he levels. The actual items themselves will change slightly (cosmetic and name not stats obviously) but thats just to avoid having Sith running around in Jedi robes etc. If you have items to craft that are specifically for one class (i.e. some of the orange bits that are for defined classes) they will hold their appearance but normal craftables will change to the faction specific appearance. So in short yes you can send crafted items cross faction and they will be useable provided you have not equipped them with another toon. Also given the GTN is cross faction now I see no reason why crafted items would be limited to characters on the same legacy. I have not tested this but I would imagine they can be sent to anyone.
  10. Basically level of difficulty to craft (not sure what actual relevance this has, although I believe it relates to the volume of exp you get per item crafted). Grey - Low difficulty - 0 exp Green - Low difficulty - Low exp (around 1?) Orange - Moderate difficulty - Moderate exp (I think 2) Red - High difficulty - High exp (again 3 I think) Now the rewards from this are not 100% but that's how I think it pans out.
  11. Hey all, Been playing SWTOR since launch but I've always been on a PVP (ToFN) server, recently I've moved house and frankly my internet can just about cope with FP's etc but I really think full on WZ's wont happen with my connection, however I don't want to miss out on the random bits of world PVP that you can get that make this game for me so much more immersive (as tbh if a sith and jedi pass each other on tat they're hardly likely to tip caps at each other and ask how the weather is!). Now also I've been looking to get in with a RP guild for a while and on ToFN that just really doesn't exist sadly! So in short a couple of Q's: 1 - I know this server is RP-PVE however I think (?) that you can flag yourself available for world PVP in contested zones, is that correct and if it's correct how frequently do people do it? Or is it a case of the option is open to you but frankly no one really bothers. 2 - Overall how active is this server? I'm not a mega hardcore player but it does frustrate me when it takes an age to sort a group for FP's etc. 3 - Anyone recommend any good Repside RP guilds? I'm going to be levelling a Vanguard on my first toon over here if things pan out! Anyway thanks in advance for any answers!
  12. Nope no way at all, although if you've just went AC you can just reroll and redo Korriban shouldn't take long at all.
  13. First thing is make sure you are attempting to craft at least green quality gear. Most likely you are still trying to craft lower level gear and need to pay the artifice trainer a visit to buy new recipes. Hope that helps!
  14. Two purpose post, one to sub to the thread and two to say well done guys nice to see people offering this kinda stuff! Helps keep the community awesome!
