I my god, you are so right! I don't know what on coruscant made me think PvP was a game mode. Im sure it had notying to do with a PvP dedicated servers..... /fail I see PvE OP.

Inb4 bioware adds expertise into pre-2.0 pve gear and you have to do all the old and new operations in green gear to beeffective..

I don't play PvP for gear, but I do play RPGs for SOME level lf realism. (Thus I play on an RP-PVP server). It makes no sense that everyone is equal equipment wise... that is like saying that a 9mm is equal to a 7.62 or a .50 cal... or that a soft armor ballistic vest is equal to a soft-armor lined plate carrier with ballistic sappie plates or dragonscale ballistic armor. A savage can throw spears at a tank all day, but that savage's leather loin cloth is nit going to protect him equally as the the depleted uranium armor plate on the tank...

^^Doesn't sound like much of an EXPANSION if it breaks the game not to have it.. if it onky costs $10, then why notnjust raise subscriptions by $0.75 or $1 and give it as a regular update.... they'd make more money in the long run too.

In reference to Theronfett's post 2 slots above...^ I may be wrong, but isn't operations where a TEAM of players attacks and objective.. wht can't that JUST be about teamwork and skill too? Cause that would be boring right? Nothing to keep you coming back for more without the loot. Jus sayin. Its obvious that PvP in this game is just supposed to be a sidequest. I am actually surprised that Bioware offers "PvP" servers in a "story-driven" mmorpg. But I suppose that is just to keep the PvEers happy so they aren't trolled by PvPers. Makes sense in a way.

Wasn't there supposed to be a hotfix today to fix this? ^^I may be out of loop, havent been on since 2.0 much as I dont like naked bolster. But shouldnt this issue have been fixed with the hitfix today or did biofail strike again?

I would like to see some of these PvP balance preachers who don't want to grind and still be compettitive fight in Afghanistan for a few Days. Show up with baggy, sagging basketball shorts and a wife beater, armed with a baseball bat, and go on a combat patrol against insurgents after not having trained for combat for a single day and expect to be competitive and have a chance to win agianst insurgants with ballistic vests and AK-47s and IEDs. RPGs are supposed to be a simulator for your characters in their imaginary world right? You dont think you shoukd have to grind to compete in combat? Its not fair that someone who trains more thN you and gets better weapons and armor shoukd be able to beat you? There is a reason we have 8+ month training workups for combat pumps to Afghanistan. You do t just show up with no training and in civilian gear and expect to be a war hero. Hell if it is to be fair, I think its unfair that my level 3 sith warrior cannot compete against the computer in a level 34 quest mission. Can we add a bolster so I never have to level, can always be naked, not put any time or effort into getting better but still enjoy the story of my quest storyline.

Bioware, my subscription went through today. I will not renew it in May if you don't do one of two things: (A) Fix naked bolster. I could give a cr@p about. Y augmented warhero being crap, I will use PvE armor. No problem. But get rid of the nude PvP zones. It is like 2.1 Dance of the Hutts got released early. (B) Give us a freakin update!!!! What are you doing? A hotrix was released the next day for broken quests and you are already announcing cartel market items coming in 2.1, but what the hell are you going to do about pvp? As least give me the usual "soon" that you love to promise. Please I loved this game, would PvP every day, and woukd spend money to buy the perfect armors for all my toons. In fact when I logged on after 2.0 I had every intention of dropping $80 USD into the cartel market... but needless to say that has t happened and I have only logged on once since that time for 20 minutes just to chat In. Guild chat. I check the forums less and less often for even the tiniest spec of an update from Bioware. Your silence is deafening. Good by SWTOR. I am going to put my effort into Star Wars Galaxies Emu I guess.

My favorite Class Change is that my power tech actually has more health and does more damage if I take off my protective, powered armor and PvP naked. I love my retractable wolverine blade in my wrist and my new Force-sensistivity that allows me to hurl fire from my palms!

I could honestly care less that my WH/EWH is useless. What bothers me is that you can rape faces in PVP without ANY gear. Makes no sense. Lightsaber to a guy in boxer briefs is instakill... Makes no sense that you can suceed in WZs with only a weapon... But on the bright side, its gonna be funny to see build sites like noxxic posting gear recommendations of naked. Haha

I had planned to drop $80 on cartel coins tonight when i logged on to 2.0 for the first time tonight in order to buy a 24 pack and get some items I wanted... Within 15 minutes of logging on I logged off and am seriously considering cancelling my subscription until PvP is fixed. I'm not a big PvE fan, and I loved up for 1.7 PvP, but yeah... Needless to say, Bioware didn't make an additional 80 USD off me today,

Actually, this warzone makes infinitely more sense now with the Naked Bolster... It might actually be viable...

I'm sorry, all I hear here is: EA/BW decides that it is not fair that someone with better war-fighting equipment (weapons and armor) is better than some farmboy in his homespun trousers, so they forced communism on all the servers so that everyone is equal. In fact, they decided to give reparations to the farmboys because they had so little available to them, and make them better than their better prepared and armed bretheren. Oh, Cr@p, Luke Skywalker, a farmboy in homespun trousers, destroyed the death star. I guess that blows my whole point...

I honestly don't think care what gear people use -- but honestly does a naked Marauder having thousands of more health over a fully augmented War/Elite War Hero Bounty Hunter make sense? I tried playing a match, and honestly--I just couldn't get into a match full of naked characters running around. Its an RPG right? I'm all for increasing the viability of one's skill over gear, but look at it realistically--If you are wearing a pair of boxer briefs and you get hit by a rail shot--you are dead. Insta-kill. End of story. Easy fix--leave bolster as it is, but make armor actually do what its meant to do--protect you from attacks, and if you don't get it then you are SOL. But I guess all the 12 year old kids likely think that it is hilarious, and might even boost ratings with consumers. Congrats, Bioware. You discovered the next generation of SOE's Combat Upgrade and New Game Enhancements. But please, make sure you add some more cartel market options in the hotfix tomorrow. It can't just be something to make the game better, right? PS: If you really want to be naked, that is what they made the covert energy armor for... just sayin'

This I know. If you look on the last post on page 2, I listed several locations / events BESIDES the cantinas where one may find RP. In addition, I rarely RP in the cantinas anymore, so I don't know what exactly you meant by this comment...

One can hope. Haha. And with another double XP weekend I suppose no one will be RPing this weekend--however on the plus side we get quick sub-50 Warzone pops all day, every day!

If you ever see Ronyxis Flir--a big-*** Mandalorian powertech in white armor with blue stripes, he is always looking to RP, as is Avaugh'nix, a large Chiss sniper from Imperial Security Forces. Besides the Slippery Slopes, which seems to be overrun with ERPers these days, there are the races every week in Outlaws Den on Tatooine (Just don't disturb the peace, as Clan Epsis is under contract as security for the races) and Moe's Swoop Gang has been hard at work designing a racing event on Alderaan. RP is everywhere, you just have to look--although I do wish there was more RP than the current state, but I'm not greedy.
