  1. The rotation he his parsing requires around 1800 alacrity to reduce the CD on battering assault to 10.1s for the best uptime on berserk
  2. Yeah I would never take high alacrity into PVP. Purely for PVE. I think the high alacrity vs lower can be situational to the boss and you will never have perfect up time however, you only need the uptime at a certain portion in the rotation for it to be effective. If I'm building and a mechanic arises where I don't get to use my BA on CD yes it nulls the gain. But if I am able to get it on CD in my rotation it eliminates the need for that extra gcd on the other end. There's many.many factors so I guess just leave it up to preference. Was just providing my stance if perhaps he/she was unaware and that 1350 alac isn't end all bc of gcd. I will say though that if you are good enough at the spec and know your rotation well it really won't matter dps check wise for almost all fights whether it's high or low alacrity . And for those certain few bosses probably wouldn't take carnage in its current state anyway
  3. The only difference is you are sacrificing 1 gcd after your berserk instead of before. at your alacrity BA used in berserk will have a CD of 8.1s and its taking you 9.4s of gcd between berserked BA and non berserked BA. it seems to be always 8gcd before berserk and 7 after or 7 before and 8 after. Its still works and a good rotation. but running higher alacrity you get the best up time on burst. I would suggest also doing the 2.5m dummy to get a better gauge of the DPS.
  4. Gearing for 1.3gcds is great in all but you'll have a high cd on battering assault and ferocity that will hurt your uptime. Between your non berserker BA and berserker BA you should have exactly 8 gcds. 6 with 1.3s gcd and 2 with 1.1 gcd. Add them up and you get exactly 10s. So running the 1360ish you'll have a 10.4s cd on BA. That means with perfect upime you'll have a .4s downtime every rotation unless you you fill the space with another ability which then pushes your burst back 1 gcd every rotation.
  5. That gave me an idea. im gonna try procced VT in beserked in place of rav, then in non berserked window non procced VT>DB>Mass>procced VT>mass >beserk>into normal rav>db>autocrit gore . that way nothing is subbed in the build windows
  6. I've had no success with it in dummy parsing. I guess with lucky crits it might show a little bit(VT hates me). But pre nerf we didn't have to sub gore/ravage is what I'm getting at.
  7. Since the VT/Dis has become completely static in the rotation for PvE after the nerf to clipping, their is no benefit damage wise for carnage when the boss is under 30%. Previously we were able to clip a second VT in back to back ferocities with the execute and normal cast under 30%. I think adding a damage boost for VT/Dis on targets under 30% would be a good move as the non berserked ferocity is very weak.
  8. Can we please get some kind of idea when exactly the season will end and what the ratings for each tier will be. and for the love of everything stop raising the tier rating requirements and go back to the more manageable ratings.... you use to rank bronze just for playing 10 games regardless of rating lol
  9. If the changes stand a buff to Ravage damage would be necessary IMO
  10. Hopefully BW is paying somewhat attention to the forums and seeing the problems within the new mechanics for the ferocity window. As it stands, right now without clipping or berserk I can easily fit 3 abilities within the 3sec ferocity window. This is simple math. Running a high alacrity build you are able to push the GCD to where you can easily fit 3 abilities. for instance ferocity>ravage>gore>DV. DV is an instant cast and therefore with the .2 or so seconds left as long as you can get it precasted to cast as soon as your gcd is over it will fit. You can also achieve this by activating ferocity halfway through your ravage gcd and picking up with gore>DV if your ping is meh. As far as clipping goes, I can see how it takes a higher level of skill and sometimes a decent ping, which can allow for 4 abilities to be fit into one ferocity with berserk. ok. I get that may be a problem for BW, but its been around for a LONG time and is nothing new. If they wanted it changed to begin with they've had ample time. Regardless, it is perfectly reasonable to say that we should have at least 3 stacks from ferocity post patch because it is not hard to achieve with the set mechanics now. Also, not allowing ravage in the ferocity is a huge problem. As of right now it contributes A LOT of DPS because of the subsequent ataru procs that come from all of the melee hits. Which now will also not get the armor pent if proced in ferocity. This also gives us less choices of freedom of what we can use now in the window. With these changes you are basically restricting the way we can play the spec to only one way. which is going to kill the fun of carnage.
