  1. i had this EXACT same problem with my ati. i ran guild wars 1 login screen in the background to fix it(forced utilization of gpu. went from 20% to 80%) then upgraded to a nvidia.
  2. you forget about 80% of the TOTAL population used to play sorc/sage when it was broken. they ended up nerfing it.
  3. light 20%~ medium 25%~ heavy 30%~ it matters, but not by much. survivability is determined by defensive cd's, talent points, and tanking stance. the squishiest class in the game is wearing heavy armor fyi.
  4. they can tell you're gunnery by the stance you're in.....
  5. without railshot every 6 seconds your effective damage is trash. pt's get to spam flame burst. mercs have power shot. if you're not trying to get your rail every 6 seconds you're the same as a pt that has flame burst removed from his bar, but with a weaker rail. this 100% mobility is severely hurting your damage. what assault has over arsenal is they can still do mediocre damage while a melee is on them.
  6. you obviously don't have the 30% crit damage talent. their dots can be cleansed by merc and operative.
  7. a good bit of sorcs damage is still mitigated by armor. only their 2 weak dots and deathfield is not. a majority of their damage is still lightning and crushing darkness.
  8. expect the damage to be even higher in 55 to compensate for more hp.
  9. 22k~ . the patch is an unmitigated disaster. thankfully it's a long ways away.
  10. i would stash everything after you get your wh.
  11. now idea how good or bad, they were all in the same guild testing changes. skill has nothing to do with dying within a stun though.
  12. watching streams and 2.0 ttk is half of 1.7. powertech is EXTREMELY strong, critting for 7k. he is dueling a sage healer and killing her in under 5 seconds. there will be some major balancing before the expansion goes live.
  13. now assassins are good at defending nodes.
  14. they are getting a 5% damage nerf to heatseeker for the xpac, so that should help some.
  15. augment before you min/max. preferably right after you get a piece. augmenting is he biggest bonus you will ever get.
  16. i don't think people see you as bad. they just see smash spec as easy to look good at end of round. all you need is a couple good smashes and you can go afk. so unless they're way ahead(like 50%) of everyone else they usually don't get votes.
  17. not even close. you're usually the main focus trying to keep yourself and others alive(with 3 people on you), looking at ops window while also having awareness for what's happening on screen, deciding who should live and who isn't worth the resources at the time. switching to dps is extremely relaxing compared. i switched to dps because i want to play a game, not a job. dps is NOT EVEN CLOSE to that. people that think dps is so hard need to get over themselves and try being a healer against a good team. imo your best players should be in that role.
  18. healers get mvps because it's a very boring archetype to play and requires more skill and focus than the other types. i feel sorry for them so i toss a vote. either them or objective defender.
  19. i'm not the thread creator. i focus more on crit for the self healing and 30% crit bonus. i don't expect massive numbers, but i get consistent crits and healing.
  20. min/max smash gear is WAY different than other classes. they get a much larger boost by completely ignoring crit. some extra power will not make his crits go from 3000 to 5000. not even close.
  21. it's barely better than pve greens. don't sweat it.
  22. and they can cleanse............
