@Bioware, there's still time to remedy Early Access...

What is sad and utterly ridiculous is that you and many others keep arguing over nothing with two individuals, who are clearly in the wrong, so that the actual point of this thread becomes more than just a little cloudy. -
@Bioware, there's still time to remedy Early Access...
jupezz replied to Herculieas's topic in General Discussion
There's nothing particularly horrible about waiting five days. The thing is that some of those "exceptions" probably won't be resolved until the 27th and imo it's considerably worse to not let them access the new content, although they have every right to, than just letting everyone in - isn't the most important rule of damage control to find a solution that makes as many customers happy as possible? And by this I'm mostly referring to those who are still denied early access, despite qualifying for it. As for those who misunderstood the requirements for getting early access: Yes, they should have read everything but at the same time it shouldn't be necessary to read everything to understand what you're going to get; at least not with something like this. The whole concept behind the KotFE early access was a bad idea to begin with and problems were to be expected, but now that it's time to properly remedy the situation, they're going about it the wrong way. -

Eh, they kinda did from the start. Since you are part of a group that feels just as much entitled as all of the so called "whiners" who didn't read the terms. I have early access, I've already finished the story once and now, 2 days later and after all the fuss on the forums and social media, it would absolutely be the right and sensible thing to do to let everyone play; especially considering that there are still subscribers left who should have access but don't because Bioware f*cked up and they don't seem to be able to sort out all of those individual mishaps. -

And as I already mentioned, I don't even disagree with that. Still, good and distinct marketing wouldn't make it necessary to read the whole page; both the standard advertising banners and the e-mails that were sent out last week were purposefully vague and that is as much of a fact as having to read the "Terms and Conditions" to fully understand the whole package. -

No, the point of this thread is that the conditions of its exclusiveness were more than just a little vague. -

The Early Access itself is exclusive, the content is not. And good job completely ignoring everything else I wrote. -

I do, but apparently you aren't aware that Early Access isn't exclusive content, while something like the Founders title; or pretty much every other KotFE subscriber reward; absolutely is. You're getting the same content as everyone else, it doesn't matter if you play it now or in a few months, this particular content will stay the same. The same concept doesn't apply to titles or items that can only be obtained during a certain period of time and are completely unavailable afterwards. We're talking about 7-9 hours of story-related gameplay here. Many of us who were eligible for Early Access have already completed the story once, so I miss the point in making everyone else wait a whole week, especially considering all the fuss and disappointment, when 2-3 days would have been more than enough. -

How exactly would EA be taken away from us by letting others join in? And yes, it's completely different from handing out time-conditioned titles for free; in fact, it could hardly be more different. Yes, the terms were perfectly clear if you took the time to read everything and yes, people could and should have read everything, but that doesn't change the fact that the advertising was purposefully vague - back when I first saw it, I knew that there would be A LOT of upset customers at the start of the Early Access. -

By far the most sensible post I've read in a while. That pretty much sums it up and should have been /thread. -

Knights of the Fallen Empire - Early Access IMPORTANT QUESTION
jupezz replied to Madfrogz's topic in General Discussion
It answers your question perfectly well - "through" basically means up to and including the specific date. Since it requires a subscription from August 10 up to and including October 19 (or at least being a subscriber at each of the reward dates), you're not getting early access. -
Am I the only who is excited about 4.0 KOTFE?
jupezz replied to jamiemcd's topic in General Discussion
Say, I'm really curious, is whining and ************ on the forum your full time job? Because if it's not, and I'm saying this in all seriousness, it's actually worrisome to read your name, literally, in every other thread. Chill, stop and consider your blood pressure for a minute and most importantly... learn how humor can help your heart! -
Because they didn't. The person you quoted probably misunderstood what has been said, which is, that each chapter would have at least one hour of story content (cutscenes, conversations etc.), with some chapters being longer than others. So, if that's true, we'll get at least 9 hours of story content from the first 9 chapters and that's not counting the actual gameplay. I think people are severely underestimating how much 1 hour of story content per chapter actually is - considering that our 1-50 class stories offer no more than 5-8 hours of story, give or take a few minutes.

SWTOR has lost -544 Affection with Paulius (spoilers)
jupezz replied to Paulius's topic in General Discussion
My thoughts exactly. Here's someone who is genuinely upset over upcoming change/s and shares his thoughts and worries with the community, in a perfectly sober and calm manner by the way, and while I can't really comprehend said worries, I can at least try to see things from his point of view - instead of acting like an ignorant, self-absorbed brat. Even though it doesn't matter to me, taking away titles from players who have rightfully earned them is just complete BS. -
Blah, blah, blah. *yawn* If only I had 1 Credit for every time I've read something like this. SWTOR is still the 3rd/4th most played MMORPG out there, so I have really no idea where you're getting that "small remnant" BS from. Doomsayers such as yourself have pretty much been around since launch and not one of them has been right thus far - and I highly doubt you to be the one to change that.

This. So much. -
As permanent companions? Hell no. Accompanying the player for a short time/a single story arc? Now that would be a different thing altogether, if properly written and integrated into the storyline. That's something that I always felt has a lot of potential, with them being such major and interesting (although that is entirely subjective) characters.

Just copying what I wrote in another thread, since you apparently can't be bothered to get your facts straight and/or stop talking out of your a**.

As I already said, as long as you're not into PvP and raiding, just ignore guides as you really don't need them. In solo PvE and even flashpoints, perfecting your rotation is a luxury, not a necessity. Some people in this thread are making your decision way harder than it needs to be - just start a Guardian if the class interests you, play the game as you see fit and you'll be perfectly fine.

The Official Armor Wishlist Thread

In what universe is the Shaolin Monk the real life equivalent of a Jedi? I mean, there are similarities but they are few and far between. Jedi have much more in common with Samurai. Also, I wish people would stop spouting this 3.000 years time difference nonsense if they can't back it up with actual evidence. Plenty of armor/outfits/attires like the ones we've seen in the movies already exist in the game; in fact, most of the stuff actually looks more advanced and not the other way around - so that argument simply doesn't have any factual basis. Do Jedi like Orgus Din and Satele Shan look that much different from those we've seen in the movies/animated series? Not really, their outfits are usually just a little bit more fancy. The same holds true for Vader and Malgus, although I do agree that Vader's armor would be a bit too much, Shae Vizla and Jango/Boba Fett (or all Mandalorians for that matter), Nico Okarr and Cad Bane (different "occupation", very similar outfits) and countless others. -
No, the chances of that happening are almost nonexistent. Class and spec changes are a given but they usually don't effect the overall difficulty in a PvE environment. And truth be told, as long as you're not into PvP and "hardcore" endgame raiding, you will easily get by with just a few keybinds (or even clicking everything) and using your abilties as you see fit.

I'm surprised so many people dislike Alderaan, since it's easily my favorite planet in the game. Act 1 conclusion/s, beautiful scenery, great NPCs and planetary quest/s, very diverse and the open PvP part helps, too. My least favorite... tie between Nar Shaddaa and Voss. Nar Shaddaa: Repetitive side + planetary quests, not a single especially memorable storyline arc, the taxi/area system is a mess and I have seen it way, WAY too often in so many different Star Wars games. Voss: The planet itself is actually quite cool, but the quests are probably the most boring in the entire game and I immensely dislike the Voss. Seriously, they are worse than even the most tradition-conscious Jedi - arrogant, ignorant and completely intolerant of other cultures.

Yeah, I get that. I just thought that since he's mainly interested in Solo PvE, he won't be using 12x EXP. I could be wrong, though.
