  1. Incursio is a Republic side guild and we do need more people for our late night raids. Our Ops night starts at 9PM / 9.15PM PST, everything is pre-scheduled. We have completed all pre 2.2 End-game Ops, have a website available at http://www.incursio.tk / http:/incursio-swtor.enjin.com with guides to SM / HM Ops with some of the information not found anywhere else on the Internet (and I'm not joking about it) and a Mumble VOIP server. We're both serious and laid back, and you can expect a load of laughter (especially on Mumble during Ops and whatnot). Some of our members like to PVP outside of Ops times as well. If you're interested you can either apply on our website, or send one of the following people a message in-game: - Tabbouleh / Gardein - Nae'palm / Rev'movak / Râh If you have any questions, feel free to send me a tell in-game or a PM through the forums. Hope you'll like the Harbinger as much as we do And good luck wherever you may land (I do hope it's with us though )
  2. Funny. So IF 2.2 contains bugs and this patch would be released tomorrow, we'd have the people whine and cry here on the forums about those bugs. Patch delays = GOOD news actually. It means they either found something that's broken, or forgot to add something but realized it before it goes live. EDIT: And this post was made before reading the sticky. So guess I was/am right.
  3. Updated our progression. We're still looking for more members, preferably tanks and healers.
  4. YES YOU TL;DR? Join Incursio, we have booze and do Ops and stuffs. What is Incursio? Well it's not a Harry Potter spell, don't worry. We are a PVE guild on the WEPUBWIC side of the Harbinger US server. That's the short story. The long one is too complicated Ok fine, we have mature members who are all not on a high horse, have loads of fun and laughter online. A little profanity here and there, but we're neutral Both women and men are welcome. If you want PVP, ain't nobody got TEAM for that, but most of our members like to PVP outside of our raid times so you can group up with them What Can Incursio Offer? Everything. No really, everything. We have enough healers, tanks and DPS available, but we would like to welcome more! First thing you need to know is that we raid almost every day. Yes you read that right, not one, not two, but almost every day! Our standard raid times are between 5.45 PM and 9 PM PST (Pacific). For the late-nightees (people who have jobs during day time), the raid time is after 9PM PST. We also have handwritten guides available for our Ops from OUR perspectives, with some information on encounters that all other guides do not have. O and we don't do exploits, we do love the hardcore take-it-up-the encounters. And I forgot to mention: we aim to get every participating guild member at least 1 piece of gear (read: unassembled Arkanian/Underworld token) every week. What spots are open? Currently we are trying to get another Ops group running for all our Ops. We are also trying to fill up a 16-man group. Note that the groups are not fixed. We put our groups together according to signups on our website, save for the current Nightmare Mode 55 Ops. We are looking for: - Healers - DPS - 1 tank. What is your current progression? We have a list of our raid progression available on our website, but I will put it in here anyway and keep it updated: Toborro's Courtyard 8-man Story Mode - 1/1 Toborro's Courtyard 8-man Hard Mode - 1/1 Scum and Villainy 8-man Story Mode - 7/7 Scum and Villainy 8-man Hard Mode - 7/7 Terror From Beyond 8-man Story Mode - 5/5 Terror From Beyond 8-man Hard Mode - 5/5 Terror From Beyond 8-man Nightmare Mode 1/5 How Can I Sign Up for Incursio? Several methods. You contact us in-game. Add the following to your friends-list and we'll talk and send out an invitation: - Tabbouleh - Nae'palm. The first dude mentioned is a chick, the latter guy is really handsome. You can also do a /who Incursio. Apply on our website by going to http://www.incursio.tk / http://incursio-swtor.enjin.com and go to recruitment and simply apply. There's a little form you have to fill in but it's not an interview like most other guilds have ^_^ Send us an in-game mail with the character you want to join with. We'll add you to our friends list and "holla at ya" when you pop online. Again, TL;DR? Join Incursio, we have booze and do SM/HM/NiM Ops and stuffs.
  5. I would go for the lower ammo cost and maybe a "has a % chance to spread to a secondary target" or something like that. Incendiary Round EATS those cells like a < use your imagination>. It's not an AOE attack, and if I'm not mistaken it eats about the same amount of cells as Pulse Cannon, which is a frontal cone attack.
  6. EDIT: it worked after a relog or 2. Still odd it didn't work the first time around. Sorry for the report.
  7. Item Underworld Relic of Shield Amplification Problem When dropped into the item modification station, you will get the following error: This is not a valid modification item! This error prevents the relic from being augmented. Solution It should be able to be modified (augmented) like any other relic. Can't confirm if it's the same with any other underworld relic. Note: I searched around to see if it was reported, it's currently not under known issues. Here's are two screenshots. The first one is me dragging it in the mod station. The second one is me getting the error. http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/2007/dragl.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img203/7971/dropm.jpg
  8. My guild's tactic is flawless. Blue: Tank + DPS Orange: Heal + DPS Purple: Tank + DPS Yellow: Heal + DPS. Instead of putting DPS in the center, the tanks and healers go in the center with the DPS on the panels. The reason for this is survivability. Those adds can only be TAUNTED to get aggro on. On BLUE and PURPLE phase 2 adds will always spawn. It makes more sense to have two tanks available than one on the panel. Also, having 4 dps available on yellow isn't a necessity anymore. We easily got yellow down with 3 DPS only. Just make sure your DPS have their relics and offensive cooldowns available. Having a Sentinel makes things easier too . The reason for heals in the center is so that healer can keep the tanks alive, the other healer can work on the rest of the group and throwing minor DPS on the cores. And yes we also fail purple. When your DPS down the second core of each phase, let them at the one to it's right, it'll be the next one. Ofcourse one DPS has to move to the panel next. You want your tanks to deal with the adds constantly. Our tanks (I'm one of them) pull the adds close together with their backs against eachother, and we use AOE damage. It will take those adds down faster. When your DPS is running from a destroyed core to the one across from there, they can throw in a fast instant AOE attack if they have any (Sticky / Thermal grenade or a cone attack like Twin Saber Throw). After orange phase, let the DPS kill the regulators (you should have only 2 up) and make sure they immediately resume to core killing. If they can get a core down before purple ends, you should be fine. When it announces that purple phase failed, everyone should be on the Rectifier, then resume to killing the cores asap. I hope this helps. PS: Make sure each group gets their spheres!!!
  9. There are a lot of features that could be added and no doubt will be added, but we players do not know what's coming until it's known So here are my suggestions. Warning: wall of text. TL;DRers beware! Expertise Remove it completely. People are complaining about balance, and the expertise system will MOST LIKELY get bugged in the future again, like it did with the launch of 2.0. Bolster I would adjust bolster to NOT boost ALL stats, but only the main stat to a gear level below the best PVP gear you can get. Players with less gear should have less HP, but still provide a bit damage and should be able to stand against more geared players. And more geared players should still be able to knock over less geared players. So there. Gear Sets There is already a nifty thing in-game that you could put on PVP and PVE gear. Currently, some PVE relics cannot be used in PVP areas and warzones. So why not create PVP sets and PVE sets, with PVP sets only usable in PVP areas, warzones and in "Sanctuaries" like the Fleets and PVE sets only usable outside of PVP areas, warzones and on the Fleets? Starter Sets Pre 2.0 we were able to obtain Recruit Gear for PVP and Tionese Gear for PVE. The free gear option was not OK for some, because some players had to work hard to obtain that gear before it was given for free. Why not have a vendor where you can purchase the starter sets for either PVP and PVE? Of course, for a reasonable amount of credits for PVP gear and Planetary Commendations for PVE gear. This all in combination with the suggestion above this one. Campaign gear is currently viewed as a starter set for PVE, but does require Classic Commendations to get. There's nothing for PVP except for what you currently have. Guild Mounts Yes, WoW has it, I know. We could have it too. The Guild mount Could have these restrictions: -> Leader picks the mount and can change it for credits. -> Players can only use the mount if they are in the guild, and purchased with credits which will transfer to the Guild Vault. -> When leaving the guild, the mount will be lost so abuse can be prevented. A difference in protection and speed could make this feature even more unique. Take for example the Hover Tank mount. It's slow but has the best protection. Additional Guild Perks The 5% experience bonus created guilds with no function other than the bonus. This pretty much gave crafting, raiding and PVP guilds nothing. You've already said that more perks would be incoming, we don't know what yet, so here are the perks I had in mind. Guild Perk Machine / Vendor Where you can buy limited items. See below. Crafting Perks Crit Bonus: Adds a bonus to the main crafting skill for every companion of the guild member. Should be upgradable with credits, by the guild leader. Guild Missions: A daily mission, available from a Guild Perk vendor / machine. PVE Perks Guild Adrenals: Now this could be unique: One (or maybe 2 or 3 more since most Ops have multiple bosses) non-reusable adrenal(s) on a one-day lockout with a expiration timer, available from a Guild Perk vendor / machine, for free after purchase of the perk. We still want Biochem Crafters to craft the best quality stuff, so I'd make the Guild Adrenals equally effective as the reusable ones, but less effective than the best non-reusable quality adrenals. Guild Cleanse[/i: This could provide an interesting mechanic for future bosses. Cleanse removes all debuffs that can be removed. Guild Cleanse could be the same, or with an added bonus to give immunity to the cleansed debuff for a small amount of time, and only usable once per boss / per lockout. PVP Perks Force / Tech Power: This bonus could be rewarded if you are teaming up with only 1 guild member in a warzone and be near each other. The reason behind "1 guild member" is because people are complaining about premade groups, which are mostly a group of guild members. Sometimes you do have to split up in Warzones to defend or attack, which is the reason why I mentioned to be "near each other". This perk might encourage PVP-minded people to join PVP guilds. Or Endurance: This perk could be combined with the Bolster suggestion I have at the top of this wall of text. Funny, I'm actually getting tired of typing this wall of text haha. Ok last one: Multi-Seat mounts How could this not have been implemented already? In other MMOs it's a success. There are cars in this game, just with one seat!! I might continue with more suggestions oneday, but not for a while Feel free to discuss some of these, but don't bash me for the suggestions! I tried to keep my suggestions balanced for crafters, PVP and PVE players alike.
  10. Are you sure it was HM S&V? I've never encountered this problem, and have done HM EV followed by SM S&V multiple times in the last 2 weeks on different toons with my guild. We did leave group and reformed though.
  11. I went into TFB SM a week ago with 2 other PUGs and 5 members of a certain guild on the Harbinger. Everyone needed Arkanian gear still. Took down the ***** queen and the agitated guards with no problem. Then we got to Operator dix. Spent 10 minutes figuring out who gets what color, and I stood there not changing any colors for that duration. To be continued..... Right now. Wipe x3. I was wondering why. Till the 5 members of that certain guild told everybody "please fail the purple phase, since 2.0 this is exactly like hardmode"...... Uhm. Yeah. No. I played along till we wiped twice more, then I opened my mouth, told em to play my tactics, and I'm not bragging Was told again: "No we can't make it, we have to fail purple phase this is like hard mode now since 2.0". Anyway, after like 5 minutes of talking about the subject, they went for my tactics (hooray) and we beat the encounter.. Woopteedoo. Next thing the 5 members of the guild leaves with "thanks all see ya!". Turned out they went for the weekly instead through groupfinder, skipping Ultimate comms and all that. I slapped my forehead so hard....
  12. Drop rate for tanks is low on my end. Everything and I do mean EVERYTIME I have a smuggler in a group, whether it is a gunslinger or a scoundrel, black market stuff ALWAYS and I'm not exaggerating, ALWAYS drops for them. Even the level 53 orange drops, for them. Imo the loot seems bugged anyway. When I'm the only consular in my group alongside a command healer, sentinel & a mando/sent dps, stuff rather drops for a shadow/sage DPS instead of tanking gear. Another example is when there is 0 guardian dps OR a tank in my FP group and I'm the sentinel, I see heavy armor guardian DPS stuff drop. Won't complain too much since I CAN use the mods but still, heavy armor with no guardian present? Another example, no VG tanks or DPS in the group, but commandos in our group and you can guess it, VG tank gear drops.
  13. Dual spec + outfit changer = a whole lot of convenience for every player in this game. With both these functions you can swap easy and fast according to the role that you chose (if you have chosen more than 1 that is).
  14. General Info: Incursio is a mature guild started by friends. Our Ops hours are between 6 PM and 10 PM server time, but we schedule ahead. We also do unscheduled SM Ops for comms whenever members feel like it and we have a collection of funny bastards in our guild and we, of course, could use more of those. We would like to put another Ops group together, and swap members between groups so everyone gets to have fun with each other. We also make sure that everyone who needs a piece of gear, does get one during the Ops. We have a Mumble (voicechat) server and a website. You can visit the website HERE For info on how to join, continue reading below. It's there, I promise! We are currently looking for: Our melee DPS spots are currently full. Some of our members have alts with any of the three roles to fill spots in Ops when needed. However, the more members we have, the more Ops we can do. You can see our Ops progression on our website. ------- For those who are fresh 50s, we would like to create a progression group for Ops as well. If you're new to this game and the Ops, feel free to apply. For progression groups, we are looking for the following: If you put in the time to spend with us, we will put in the time to get you geared and experienced and make sure you get into our hardcore Ops groups. ---------------- How to join: Add one of the players below to your friendslist and tell them your class and role and that you'd like to join. You don't have to fill in forms to join us, eff no. Whisper one of them, we will invite you. That's it, no fees, nuttin. My apologies for the wall of text hehe.
  15. Somehow got sucked into this while reading. Love mysteries. So uhm about that mail from "The Rogue". Sounds like a hint? If you type "star wars+scream darkness of mercy", in google, you'll end up finding an article about Anakin who killed sand people on tatooine while they screamed for mercy.
  16. OP back again here. I managed to get some LI runs going (well aiming for my weap but no success ) and used the advice here... Basically the keep strafing part. I noticed that, even when there was NO<- yellow circle under my feet, I did receive damage from eruptions underneath. I guess the first boss is bugged when it comes to that part?.. Guess the first person commenting on that bug was right. In one of the last fights I did in the last 2 days, one of the party members died by that damage while not standing in yellow circles as I paid attention to everyone in that fight. I was like waddafuh. I kept strafing and pretending that eruptions without yellow circles were just those yellow circles and it was as if I didn't even need a heal. On the subject of using Mind Control.. I do not use it unless I am losing aggro (like someone here said Shadow Tanks have great threat control and I don't have problems with it) or if I know a boss does AOE damage.
  17. Doesn't shield rating also increase the amount absorbed? Well still valuable advice. I went with shield before reading anything because I happened to pick it up on a random mob in a FP. But I guess I'll go for absorb/defence augments instead. I saw a healing relic flash by a few days ago which to my knowledge didn't seem useful. As I looked around it apparently is useful (according to your tutorial and others on this forum). So I guess I'll also go for that. Sorry if this threat becomes a more Shadow-class related topic thing lol. @ Kabolt. That guide/link seems useful, I'll use that information. Thanks! Also, now that you've mentioned Force Cloak, I don't use this ability at all because the boss might insta-kill a party member or so. Well, at least that was my initial thought. I assumed a Shadow Tank should just take/absorb damage and make sure he keeps aggro and only let another tank grab threat in Ops (with exception of bosses who cannot be taunted ofcourse). Maybe I should use it in oh-**** situations like that. @ Vankris. It might've been the dps moving only a bit late on the yellow circles. I'm pretty aware of the environment I"m tanking in. On the droid, and it happened only ONCE, incinerate got interrupted but the droid managed to kill me because I didn't receive any heals. Next run (pug, different group) went almost perfect so yeah. @schnopsnosn. Was that in a PUG or guild run? It's exactly what I meant. @Eternalnight. Can it be buggy at times? I did notice that at occassions the ground like, erupts, but no yellow circle appears. I assumed nothing happens and I keep standing there, watching till a yellow circle actually appears. Anyway I'll take your advice on the keep moving thing, thanks! @mikebevo. I'm actually (willing to) try(ing) out every class in-game (but I do have a life!!!). I did the same in WoW during the Wotlk days, just so I know what every class and tree is capable of. I have a combat medic commando already. However, I seem to be teamed up with sages more. The last idk how many runs were with sages as healers. Runs with smugglers as healers and commandos went more smoothly or just smooth than with Sages. I'll take everyone's advice in mind and I'll go over the tuts and the Shadow tanking primes a couple more times. I did get recruited into a guild during a LI run but I don't want to sound arrogant as to how I got in there . Thanks everyone for the helpful advice!
  18. Then how come I was able to survive the first 3 times I came around there? I do avoid the yellow markers myself. And I have tanking experience from other MMO's, I'm just a new fifty on this character with the gear. My stats are the following at the moment from the top of my head (I'm on an alt): 22,5k HP 5758 armor rating 38% dmg reduction 22% def chance 35.07% shield chance (55% with Kinetic Ward) 48.21% shield absorbtion The above is with all class buffs. On a side note: I never had to taunt as of yet, threat generation is no problem. I won't fully blame anyone. I'm questioning as to how I possibly could not survive anything or if I'm doing anything wrong. Actually it's me who's getting blamed for dying. And yes I do receive that much damage if I'm hit. EDIT: I've adjusted my gear list since I switched out 1 rakata relic for a war hero relic, also doubting if it's the right one (shrouded crusader). I actually looked around the forums more before I read all your posts in this topic. And isn't Lost Island MEANT for people with at least full columi (rating 136)? And yeah, my bad for naming the guy. Removed it.
  19. O hello, I started tanking in this game 5 days ago when I hit 50 and I do not know what the crap I'm doing wrong. Here's the story. I play @ Harbinger. To start out I'll mention my gear: - Custom headitem with Columi mods and Shield augment (for the rest no augments yet, haven't really brought myself to grinding dailies but I will! I promise D: ) - Rakata chestpiece (which I ironically got from Lost Island) - Columi hands, legs, feet, offhand, earpiece, belt, bracer. - Rakata relic w. shield absorbtion and rating - War Hero relic w/ shield rating - Rakata & Black Hole implants - Tier 1 Tank lightsaber (Last Bastion), because I missed out on the columi weap every time >_> I go by the standard priority list of abilities: FB (to debuff) > TK (3x HS) > ST > Project > DS > SS. Talent tree is 31 in Kinetic and 10 in Balance. I always keep Shield Ward up. Because you know, has to be. --------------- I queue up for Lost Island. Great I join a pug. We head up to the first boss. And mind you, this happens to me every time.... I die on the first boss DOUBLE U TEE EFF MATE. The boss hits me for 6,7k. I assume this is normal. When I'm at 50/60% HP I pop up deflection, and since the boss doesn't have force/tech powers I assume Resilience is not really useful. However, like any other defensive ability the timer runs out. So I pop out my relic as fast as I can. After this I end up dying. Questions incoming: - Is it me or does the healer suck? I've told the healers (because I ran it multiple times) to focus healing on me, and I presumed they did. I mean, if the DPS need healing on that boss they must be colorblind or something, anyone should be able to spot those yellow marks on dee floor. Note that I'm not sure what the healers were doing all the time and yes I should be more aware of this. I don't know if the past healers were dps-ing too, I've had idiots like that before. - Or is the dps too low to finish this low HP boss off? I mean 113/130 or whatever kilo HP that guy has should be easy to burn down. I can take on every other boss past that one without dying fast. Only on one occassion I died within seconds on the droid and the healer blamed me for it (I had buffs and Kinetic Ward up). And yes I interrupted his incinerate. --------- So, any ideas? Thanks for reading this wall of text lol.
