  1. The raids are done with the best level 20 gear you can get. If you do the story content you'll be able to afford everything. Nothing is really expensive. So it all comes down to skill. You get a huge number of skills but can only carry 8 at any time into the battle (story part, PvP or raids). You can choose your skill set and gear yourself to best complement that skill set. One of the best Wikis in the gaming world helps with it. Gear can all be obtained from in-game vendors (loot is an option as well, but does not need to be from raids.) Any group activity can be done with up to 7 AI-controlled companions whose skill bars (up to 8 skills per companion again) you get to choose and you can gear them up (their stats matter.) You can split them into groups and set flags for each group to guard an area around the map and fight if necessary without having to micromanage them. No "Dragon Age: Origins" style ability to program them, though. You buy the game once and play forever; no subscription. This is Guild Wars, not the sequel Guild Wars 2. My only association with the game is as a long-time player. I am obviously a great fan of Star Wars universe, so it is not a substitute for SWTOR.
  2. Guild Wars 1 has gear updates as you play through the story but no end-game gear grind. And there are only 20 player levels which you can reach after doing less than a third of the complete game.
  3. Guild Wars 1 (all chapters + expansion) is a favorite of mine. An MMO for people who don't like grind. I still log in and play sometimes; lot of fun. GW2 improved on it in some respects but unnecessarily changed many things that worked well in GW1, not to mention not restoring Ascalon to humans. Never did get into GW2. There are threads from Nov and Dec 2016 about the Vaylin fight that get into more detailed tactics.
  4. I got a 242 Legendary Gold Relic on a DPS character today at 210 rank; my first Gold. It increases Alacrity. On Use.
  5. Where did you choose "Claim" and "Disintegrate"?! To do that you should already be in the Command Stash. Did you click the crate in the Inventory by any chance? If you did, the stash will open and the crate will show in the left pane and you get to click the "Open" button.
  6. A little complicated to explain in in-game chat. My post #5 has sources you can read to understand. After that, you can seek clarifications here.
  7. Intended. Always was going to be that way. CM boosts and character perk (10%) don't change disintegration CXP either.
  8. You don't get them in PvP directly. You get the unassembled components in PvP. The patch notes for 5.1 have the details. And some forum posts by Eric Musco. You could also try Dulfy.net
  9. Iokath. Nightmare mode Ops, mostly. Alternately, trade in Tier 2 armor piece and a number of unassembled components to a vendor.
  10. Thank you. That is both Math and English savvy. Clear as crystal.
  11. For a champion in an FP, I'm getting Base 20 Perk 10% = 2 DvL Bonus 15% = 3 Daily Highlighted Activity 20% = 4 Sub-Total = 29 Event Multiplier 150% = 43.5 Total = 72 (rounded down from 72.5)
  12. Scenario 1 Original 100% Bonus 250% Total current CXP 350% Scenario 2 Original 100% Bonus 350% Total current CXP 450% Which one is it? Math savviness isn't the problem, English savviness seems to be.
  13. Please thank the lady. Update the title to indicate "[Resolved]" or "[Not Really]"
  14. What were the lower level augs you replaced?
  15. Where did you check this? Your Alacrity percent should've gone from 8.16% to 10.46%. Try in the Stronghold or on Fleet.
  16. Jedi Stormguard's Chestguard http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/jedi-stormguard/ Part of it will stay brown (incl cape). Hood disappears if you use the corresponding head item which looks like a pair of glasses.
  17. On Harbinger between 9:00 and 9:30 EST at nights, check if a character called SoldierKatarn is on; he runs the easier Ops in training mode. Please be level 70 and 228 or better gear.
  18. Agreed 100%. I'm not an RPer, shipper or female (stereotype there, sorry) but I do long for more interaction with Empress Acina; not even romantically, necessarily. She's an excellent example of fine writing and characterization and leaves just enough impression of having the depth and political savvy required to lead an empire. Any fire-side chats between the Alliance Commander and the Empress over a little Bourbon or Cognac would be to die for. (Either of those jobs would be very lonely, mentally and experientially; so, a contemporary equal you can talk to would be very valuable) I'd love for her role to be expanded even for my Republic characters; the Republic, unfortunately, has no equal. I'd pay to have her as a companion so long as they offer decent conversation with her. Shows they can do an excellent writing job, if they try. (Who's the writer for her character?) And the voice actress delivered an excellent performance.
  19. Mention what he did to Empress Acina and give him as a gift to her. I trust her to do the right thing in a satisfyingly proper way. (Whatever it is, I wouldn't want to know.)
  20. Wait. There's more. In Galactic Command Window they show as: Story Mode FP = Solo Mode FP Veteran Mode FP = Old Tactical Mode FP Master Mode FP = Old Hard Mode FP
  21. So the category titles for FlashPoints are accurate in the GF and Master mode has disappeared. Essentially, they removed Master mode FPs from GF and added Story mode FPs to it. Update: Not true. "Story Mode" has Cademimu now. I tried "Story Mode" and it grouped me with 3 others (GF after all). So, this is the old Tactical mode. Solo Mode FP not in GF, obviously Story Mode FP = Old Tactical Mode FP Veteran Mode FP = Old Hard Mode FP So, FPs don't use the Story, Veteran, Master mode classifications. Instead they use Solo, Story and Veteran modes. Not confusing at all.
  22. I remember Master Mode FlashPoints being available in Group Finder. I don't see them there anymore. They're in the Galactic Command window but you can't choose which ones you're interested in there, where as you could pick and choose in the Group Finder.
  23. SWTOR DreamTeam is very likely to be at this event, they said in today's LiveStream. They're also planning a Cantina event.
