  1. I had a Sith Warrior that I got to 55 before 4.0 hit. I was so proud. It was hard work, and I had to use all I got, and quite often it was tedious and I died a lot, but I did it. Finished class story and all. There was this one instance where a conversation bugged out, probably because of the fact I was still base class. So I asked technical support, and that was the only time I ever got into a live chat with a CS rep. He was very surprised and said he'd never seen anyone with such a high level base class. He gave me a couple of free XP boosts and told me to keep rocking! Now I can't bring myself to log into that character. It will sit there forever in my character list, remaining a level 65 sith warrior. Goodbye, Fruitcake. I will miss you BTW: I never ever did group content with it because that would've been stupid.
  2. Never had one drop in story, so I don't think they drop there. BTW, did you notice they misspelt it? A guildy was searching for that mat on the GTN and never found one because she didn't see they spelt it Refined Istotope Stabilizer
  3. Fully agree. There's also an imp quest on Taris where you have to blow up a generator and two other pieces of equipment. While the explosions and resulting fires look really cool, the timer on those is also horribly high. If someone blows them up before you, you can just go do something else right away. Another nuisance are quests like the one on Balmorra where you're going into a colicoid infected base and have to retrieve data from three computers, and for some reason even if you group up, everyone has to pick up these things individually and there's a huge timer you have to wait for. Needs fixing, too.
  4. I find it annoying that us solo players do not get our CXP rewards for planetary missions in the form of corresponding CXP packs. That means that you cannot use victory state or cxp bonus packs effectively, because they only work at the time when you finish a planet. I want to get CXP packs for planetary missions and open them all when it's most effective.
  5. So today it's planetary missions bonus day. Guess what, it gives no bonus. Still get 20 CXP per finished heroic/daily. Still get 450 CXP per finished planet.
  6. Actually, if you got "chewed up" post 5.0 it's probably because you're not so grand as a PvP player. PvP armor (armor with expertize) no longer exists.
  7. Valen Korik? The other day, there were so many people waiting for him to spawn, we actually made an OPS GROUP. I am not kidding you.
  8. No idea but I doubt it gives more CXP that way. Chapters are a pretty poor way to farm CXP btw
  9. I think that was actually broken for a while. It's supposed to work now... The missions handed out by GC can be done once every day, just like the underlying dailies/heroics. But you can keep getting new missions until you've done all the planets.
  10. Very true. Another pet peeve: That stupid Aurora Cannon quest in Section X. Even back in the days it was hard to find 3 others willing to do this quest, but now it's all but impossible. And I'm still short on Section X rep
  11. Signed. Edit: in addition, how about an "Alderaanian Princess" stronghold deco? Everyone could make their own memorial...
  12. So I was going about my business, doing dailies for CXP and money when I met this guy on Voss. Like me, he was doing heroics at level 70 and was LFG in general chat. I thought "what the hay, it'll be faster" and grouped up with him. Now I had already done one heroic and so I only needed two more. If you're now wondering why I say I "needed" two more instead of three more (after all, there are four heroics on Voss), then you are my target audience. After we did the two he asked about the fourth I never do, and I was a little perplexed. So I asked him if we was doing dailies via Galactic Command, and he said no. In other words, he was wasting his time. If you're just doing heroics via the heroic terminal, you get 20 CXP per mission plus whatever CXP you get from enemies. As a way to grind for CXP this is fine - if you do not plan to reach tier 2 (rank 90) in your lifetime. The smart way is to use the Planetary Missions item in Galactic Command. It will suggest a planet to do heroics on. If you don't like the planet, decline and try again. Once you have found a suitable planet, you will be transported there to the missions terminal. You don't even have to do all missions on the planet, only around 80-90% which you can freely pick, so you can just do the quicker ones. Now the clue: this mission to do heroics/dailies itself gives you upward of 450 CXP. In additition to what you get from the missions themselves. Without this, you are wasting your time. I'm guessing this is obvious for most of us because we played around with GC a bit, but I've met others who didn't know about this either, so I thought I'd make sense to mention this In case your time is limited, the following planets are probably the fastest: - CZ-198 - Voss - Corellia - Belsavis - Black Hole - Oricon (forget the tower and bio missions) Also, pro tip: if it's any extra efford, forget about bonus missions. They aren't worth it
  13. I defeated that cat with a 216 gear character. No set bonus. DPS char. Not seeing a problem there.
  14. The best bet is "but you still get your rewards!" Guess what, I never cared about those! I wanted the achievement. You have an achievement system for the purpose of motivating people to do stuff, right? If you suddenly decide to take achievements away, you defeat your own system. And... honestly, do you think we'll do all of that again? Really? For more stupid prices? Jeez.
  15. You do realize there's an ignore function even on the forums, right?
  16. Why even specify achievement points for the individual achievements? Flashpoint Master - 100 pts? What for? Do you just make stuff up as you go? Or are you having a really good time laughing about us? Who makes these decisions, and why? SWTOR, the game where everything is harebrained decisions and the points don't matter
  17. Did it with my guildies. There were some HM FPs we really had to try a couple of times mostly because of suboptimal group composition, but with a bit of patience we mastered all the challenges - together! We had a really good time and it felt really good to finish that last HM. It was Bloodhunt and it felt very easy
  18. Blood Hunt is indubitably one of the more difficult flashpoints, I'll grant you that. And I'm sure there are some bugs I personally haven't ever seen. But "total garbage", because YOU can't finish it with a COMP as a tank? Seriously? No. Get a real tank and try again. Comp disappearing won't be an issue then, and as everyone knows, comps as tanks are as useful as a Hoth cold remedy on Tatooine.
  19. Since all our commendations/crystals will turn to credits, I wonder how 5.0 will affect crafting. Specifically, what is to become of strategic resource matrix exotic isotope stabilizer dark matter catalyst Will these still be used to craft the highest-end gear, or will they become useless? Turn to credit? Hatch and run away?
  20. This is the end, beautiful friend This is the end, my only friend, the end Of our elaborate plans, the end Of everything that stands, the end No safety or surprise, the end I'll never look into your OPs, again
