  1. In my opinion, warriors should get some lightning abilities and inquisitors should get some form of choking ability. And Empowered Choke would be a really nice addition as a new high-level ability. Perhaps we could get some new legacy abilities that wouldn't require us to have our companions out/alive? Empowered Choke Lightning Barrage (a channeled lightning ability that does incredible damage, as well as stunning the target) Force Blast (the warrior's & inquisitor's push abilities mixed together, like what Vader and Starkiller had in Force Unleashed) Lightning shield And of course the Force Storm ability we had in KOTOR; that one was awesome!
  2. I hate this issue myself, that's why after I've done the storyline, I avoid Makeb like it's a plague zone. Word of advice to Bioware: this type of map design is just plain ridiculous. Too many mobs placed too close together just degrades gameplay.
  3. I'm in favor of this idea. It'd have to have more difficult combat so as to justify giving out ultimate comms, but yes, it would be a nice addition.
  4. I've had this problem myself: running into invisible walls, textures disappearing, etc etc etc. Problems like this are especially common on planets with a lot of textures, like Alderaan & the Republic's version of Balmorra. Though I should say this: it's not actually lag, it's game performance issues. Lag is where you're suffering a poor gameplay experience due to a lousy connection. What we're experiencing on a daily basis is poor performance, pure and simple.
  5. Totally agree with this one. Our very own lightsabers/blasters, designed entirely by us. Come on Bioware, you do know that this has marketing appeal.
  6. Actually, the OP was talking about the Sith NPCs, not the players themselves. And honestly, in this game, they have the freedom to do as they please. (Which is a good thing, by the way.) As for the OP's original comments on the dark side losing an intimidating quality, there does seem to be a lack of that. In KOTOR, Korriban was a place where the player could feel a sense of pure evil; in SWTOR, it's just a quick starter world with barely any feel to it at all. And it could be fixed too; players have been calling for new story content for a while now. Just add some new storylines that take place on Korriban that have the feel to them that KOTOR supplied. Or is that just not possible because this is an MMO and not a single-player game?
  7. I think they just forgot to put that little piece in with Update 2.6. Maybe 2.6a?
  8. My vote for least fun classes are the DPS Assassins/Shadows & the DPS Operatives/Scoundrels. Reason why is because their best abilities require you to either strike from stealth, hit the other guy from behind or both. And anyone who's played a backstabbing class has probably ran into that bug where you'll be behind the other guy but the game thinks you're not. And the backstabbing attacks are really ineffective in PVP due to many players remaining in constant motion during a warzone, making it hard to land a backstab without sacrificing some dps in the process. Which is probably why people who roll Operatives & Scoundrels make them into healers: not need to backstab anyone because they're too busy being awesome healers. By the way, that's not just hearsay: my sniper Karaahi used to be a Concealment Operative, but then I rerolled her as a Marksman Sniper. Loved the playstyle ever since. As for Assassin dps, I've done a center tree dps and hated how you had to rely on what the game gave you in order to do truly damaging attacks. Just really not that fun, especially not in a warzone. Also, the Sin/Shadow Tanks suffer due to wearing light armor instead of heavy, that is true. But I've found they're pretty durable if you remember to use Kinetic/Dark Ward regularly; just need to have a speced & geared healer to back you up and you can dominate in PVE. Just saying for the record.
  9. Totally with you there. If Bioware keeps nerfing classes because some whiny little kids cry about how they're not doing so well, eventually classes won't be playable at all. And honestly, being good at playing a class is all about playstyle: find a class & spec that you're good at & roll with it. If a tactic isn't working in pvp, change tactics. If a spec isn't really suiting you, just change your spec - it's not hard. Just go talk to the Skill Mentor and he'll reset your points. The very definition of instanity is doing the same things over & over again and expecting a different result. Consider taking a hint.
  10. I've noticed this myself: Stealth scans need a larger area of effect, as well as a reduced cooldown time.
  11. Actually, we don't all love Galactic Starfighter, just so you know. I'll leave this link here for information as to why not: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=702445
  12. Perhaps in the next chapter we could get cutscenes that bring a whiff of nostalgia for the movies? Like, I'd like to play as a Sith and have a cutscene where I'm leading an army of Sith to attack a Jedi temple somewhere (maybe Dantooine?) and the music that they had in Episode 3, where Anakin was leading the clones into the temple on Coruscant, would be playing. How about things like that?
  13. Actually, I don't think you can send equipment bought with commendations to other characters (though I could be wrong on that). However, I have bought mods using planetary comms and sent them to low-lvl characters. Also, if you have a set of legacy bound gear, you could strip mods out of gear bought with planetary comms, put the mods in the legacy gear, & send the legacy gear to a low-lvl alt.
  14. That's true, dual-specing would be a welcome feature. I'd like to be able to switch between dps & heals, depending upon what the situation called for. At least respec is free for subs, I can't imagine anyone spending millions of credits on a respec.

    dyes

I'd prefer it if instead of having to use Artifice to construct dye modules, we could instead implement custom colors on our armor using an RGB scale/color wheel. That way, we wouldn't have to search the GTN for the dye module we want and we wouldn't have to acquire rare materials to craft a dye; we'd just make our own dyes for both primary and secondary colors.
