  1. I'm glad that I'm not alone on this issue. It seems the easiest fix to this problem (until a more permanent solution such as a merge or something else is provided) would be to allow free transfers to players in designated "low population" servers. And to respond to Ratajack, obviously you were not around during the first server merger. With that being said, it's very do-able as it's already been done once.
  2. Bastian's population wasn't a concern during the 91% price reduction. Had it been during that time frame, then I would have transferred. Had it been a concern when they were offering free transfers then I would not be on here presently complaining about it. I'm paying $15 bucks a month for a service that is literally as good as FTP at this point. What does my subscription get me (as well as 75% of the other players on Bastian)? Warzone access that no one plays. Instances that no one runs. GTN listings that no one utilizes. I pay for an experience. And that experience is not 15 characters at peak player times on the Fleet. Server population is 100% the responsibility of Bioware. I'm simply not going to spend ~$90 transferring characters to a new server only for me to wait 6 months and then have to pay another ~$90 to merge to a Euro server because all the US servers are dead.
  3. I'm not going to spend 9000 CC to transfer my characters because EA dropped the ball on population management. We all feel ignored on the server. Forgotten. Abandoned. I Beta tested this game. The least that you can do is keep a healthy population on a server. Or at least bring back free character transfers.
  4. It's came up before, but I believe that the Dev's probably base their input on how often a topic comes up. Anyone for a Manaan theme'd stronghold? Possibly partially underwater with a view of the ocean under it?
  5. Leave it to the LGBT community to try and distinguish themselves unnecessarily. As it stands, just like the guy who posted above me, we are all currently equal because no one is identified as homosexual or heterosexual. If you make a LGBT social group, I expect to join even though i am heterosexual, because EA's anti-discrimination policy states that you cannot deny me from your group based upon my heterosexual orientation.
  6. I keep complaining about the Empire but I REALLY feel like Bioware has done the dark side a great injustice. If we look at the first two Kotor Games we see truly evil personalities coming out in Malak, Kreia, Sion, and Nihilius but where is that classic trait in SWTOR? In KOTOR Korriban has a very distinct, genuinely evil and ominous feel about it. In SWTOR it's missing that element completely. The lore doesn't have any darkness around it, as would be expected from the Sith. I guess my rant stems from watching a youtube video just a few moments ago that was an "Ancient Sith Theme" and I realized that what was missing drastically was that genuine dark feeling associated with the Empire, SIth Lords, and whatnot. The two characters that even get close to this ideal are Malgus and the Emperor himself. Where's the deformed-type Sion and Nihilius characters? I think that there is an element missing with regards to the Empire side. I'm sure there is also an element missing on the Republic side, but I would advise Bioware to look back at what made KOTOR so successful and use it again for future updates.
  7. My good sir, are you implying..... HOROCRUXES? or as I like to call them SITHOCRUXES?
  8. So I'm reading a book called Book of the Sith that I'm kinda going nuts about and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Sith Lords have always been either combat related or interested in Sith Alchemy. So, where's the alchemy part? Where all the lore of the old sith? Perhaps in the future have an expansion that unlocks other parts of Korriban and Tython (for sith/jedi of course) that explores the genuine secrets? I'd love to get out there with my Sith Inquisitor and find the Valley of the Dark Lords that is described in so many books (not the piss poor excuse we have ingame). The Valley that you can feel the dark side radiating and is haunted by specters of the long forgotten famous sith lords. The one that Darth Bane traveled to or that Luke explored. Throw in some bonus content to unlock alchemy abilities. You know, give it that true Sith Lord on a challenging quest to obtain ultimate power feel.
  9. Attn: Czerka Corp I do not apply for a position to your corporation. I carry a warning well-heeded if you wish to see your company continue to survive. I see use in Czerka. And on the day that I no longer see it, I will extinguish you and eradicate you from my new Empire.
  10. Does the SWTOR community really just hate the idea of Developers giving feedback? Seriously? Do you even think that they read the suggestion box? If at nothing else have 1 dev comment once a week on 1 post that is something to the tune of Player A: "I think bioware should make wookies playable!" Dev A : "We at bioware will suggest this idea to the development team" and of course to appease all the law gurus, add a disclaimer that you forfeit all intellectual property thats posted on the forums. (Which was probably in the TOS agreement when you signed up for the website years ago....) just SOMETHING that proves they do read this.
  11. Well of course I'm not the one who would write the policy, thats why they get paid the big bucks. It could be something as simple as if a post have over 15 replies they are required to reply to it
  12. Dear Bioware and Co., While there are many things that I would like to suggest in the suggestion box about the betterment of the game, I however feel that we must crawl before we can walk. Therefore, I would like offer a suggestion that would 1. Be free, which is always a plus 2. Enhance Suggestion Box Please make it a policy that an admin at least reply to all suggestions. If nothing else just as proof that Bioware actually cares about the community's opinion about the betterment of the game. I think that would be a definate positive push in the right direction. Thanks you!
  13. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that considering that there are 6 movies, countless games, merchandise, and a **** ton of other things, regardless of your "its garbage" theory. If it truly was garbage, then Lucas's wee little accountants and company managers would say: If it were garbage, you wouldn't be trolling a STAR WARS website. *******. "Excuse me, Darth Lucas, but it appears that we won't even make a profit on these items considering how much people hate it, perhaps we should just not do it"
  14. I look at SWTOR and ask myself why I like SWG much better than SWTOR. I shouldn't. SWTOR has hit the ground running and has a million times more potential than SWG ever had. But for some reason, I just prefer SWG. And then it hit me. Why don't we have a place that we can consider our character's home? Like... Somewhere where we actually can customize. Similiar to the housing idea in SWG. Of course, I'm not saying throw houses down in SWTOR. But I have a suggestion. Awhile back, there was talk about Guild Capital ships. Why not, if these ever come into gameplay, make an interactive tab that actually allows the guild to build their own capital ship? Nothing fancy. Just have the preset outline of the ship, preset locations for elevators and stairs, preset bridge, and then have guild leaders physically have to buy individual modules to place within the ship? That would allow a certain amount of creativity to the game. Then, to go further, give the option to add small things within each module. For example, have armor displays that you can place. Or adjust seat positions, or just something like that. Make it similar to legacy system. make it able to unlock the option to have multiple levels on the capital ship. And then, possibly give the ability to assign each member of the guild their individual room and their own private rights to place small items for decoration in their own room? P.S. Throw in some windows and a nice view of a planet. This wouldn't affect the ground world. The only thing that I could see it affecting would be populations in general areas, like the Imperial fleet. But, lets be realistic. You cannot avoid the fleet. You all have to go there sometimes. And no, I'm not some WoW fanboy. I just think that the SWTOR universe needs some individuality.
