  1. Not sure how much Paladins have place in SWTOR, but you for sure know what you are saying. But to be honest: Yes, in your face. If someone found leveling Paladin not as fun as cap then let him play the game he likes. Also its kinda fun how well conditioned players are, i my book it should be other way around. The customers should condition developers. But it seems we are at the point when players are ready to battlecry "we love timesinks, its best we deserve!"
  2. Hate leads to anger. And anger fuels our force grip and force lighting. And force grip and lighting are fun! ;-) From the other side im not sure what devs preffer: - Hate and anger on the forum, but still play and pay. Or maybe: - Calm as sir, but just think "this game sucks, i would better come back to Kotor" and never log in again.
  3. But there is always a chance that at some point balance team will take a look at the issue and fix the commandos/scoundrels so for all who would like this character type it will again be a decent option. And then they will swap back to scoundrells and commandos. Somehow this would look for me more normal and healthy: "You dont like your spec? Thats cool, you can swap it and play something more fun fo you." Forcing people to stay with overnerfed/not fun class just to pretend everything is fine, and we have so many commandos that they must be ok is a sick in my book.
  4. Thats, that is horrible! Who knows, maybe some of them would have actual fun playing the game. Please send the dementors to soak all joy this pathetic fun lovers! Maybe i came from different times, when success of game was build on quality of product not just sociotechnics, timesinks, and addicting tricks to soak the last $ from the sheepie. Nevertheless i think that if player have fun thats it, Holy Grail of game design. If he likes most leveling as assasin let him do it and respec to sorcerer healer at 50. Of course disbalance is bad thing, and if there is fotm builds around they should be investigate to balance things up, and make other builds competive. However saying that adv class swap equals supporting fotm is really made up stuff. Not that i expected much more.
  5. Serious question. As far as i noticed there is no such option, however i see no logical reason why not. After all as long as advanced classes are balanced switching to other spec should be ok. I see a problem if the game is just bouncing from one favor of the month to another, however making players to run a "smash monkey" from level 1 do not really solve problems, and is not a way to handle a things. Changing adv class have nothing will support fotms. If devs want to fight fotms the only way to do is to balance classes around lv 50. Nothing less will fix the issue. And there is simply no other way than balancing classes, especially if dream on any resonable pvp. After all the aim of the devs should be making players happy, of course soaking every last $ is also on the list, but happy customer is more likly to spend extra ca$h. And i see some rational reasons to be willing to swap the spec. - Someone just want to check something else - Someone made horrible mistake (like playing commando) and is just not happy with a spec but will miss a character and story progression. As for pricing im sure it could be done, something like 1 mil creds or some cartel points (like 300-500) make sense and no more than once per month or something. Generally it should be pricy enought to make you actually feel the cost, but not to much to make it prohibitive or just cash grab. Just to stay clear im suggesting chaning just a advanced class. So for example from mercenary to powertech. Or Sorceror to assasin. (or other way around) From sniper to opperative. And jugernaut to mercenary.
  6. I think its fair idea. Of course there is a option to just send it all by the mail, but this takes kind a lot of time, and just droping stuff in shared bank would be so much easier. I see a place for that since: - sometimes my other character get some nice schematics for other crafter - as i finally reach resonable crafting level on one toon is a shame to not gear up my other toons. - gifts and to some degree crafting materials - some random drops handy for either characters or companions* * of course is good to remember what means 'need' and 'gread'. Some others MMO has it and ppl generally like it. Of course im not sure how much Bioware is interested in releasing useful stuff, sometimes it looks that they are busy making random crap (cartel packs) which shouldnt be in game in first place. It would be nice change if they make something useful and desired. The same goes to "Ship pick up" which is another example that Bioware really dont care about playing game.
  7. Buying Mac is kind of waste of money, they look really nice but inside there are nothing special, for half the price you can buy better lap of other company and install there both windows and linux.
  8. Heh, im probably hating here and generally QQing, but i just dont see the awe in playing kinda avarege WoW clone - if only i would actually like WoW genre - and maybe buy some lottery vanity package so i can look more cool while spendning time on boring gameplay with uncool abilities, and cripped companions and not so great story. I just dont see anything good in this situacion. Maybe i should just install Kotor 1/2 as normal SW fan. ;-)
  9. Am i the only one who thinks that cartel packs is just another example how low Bioware ended? It shouldnt ever be in game! If you want give players Revan mask or really cool crystal just do it, make it a drop in some resonable hard operation, so there will be a point to run it and here we go. I dont get this modern habbit to cut a games into pieces and then sell it separetly. Its probably smart move from "product living cycle" perspective, but sucks when comes to making awesome games.
  10. Suits up men, we have a hipster here. ;-)
  11. Yes objectives thieves are kinda annoying, not "i will never log in again" annoying but still. Maybe generally spawn rate of things which are important quest objective could be increased, no matter if they are box to smash, or panels to blow or some liutenants to kill. Sometimes it feels that some random mob which just take my time to clear spawn more often than important objective. I think there is a place for some auto group tool. So if two willing players are in the same area with same quest list they are auto grouped in one operation group or something. Similar to Guild Wars 2. There is nothing bad in copying good solutions.
  12. Many things disappoint me in SWTOR, im still somewhere near "just get 8x50 and unistall" but to often i catch myself to just willing install TSL again than actuallly log in swtor, but nevermind. It generally bugged me that there was no "Ship pick up" clikie. It could even share a timer with fleet pass, after all there is no much difference in balance if i teleport straight to my ship or fleet and then 5 log screens. There is however difference in my patience and enjoyment from the game. Maybe i not programist, but creating "fraighter pickup" dont seem to be beyond developers ability to code. A lot of copy paste from flee pass i suppose. Nothing stops from implementing this as classic feature. But hell, why to care about option which would be useful and welcome, and will increase gameplay experience. Welcome to BioWEAre 2013. Its better to work more on some Cartel Pay to Win.
  13. There is always aa demand for healers, and rolling one would probably grant you easy entry to any FP/Heroics as well as make you valuable OPS member. Also it helps in warzones if someone is actually healing. As for good classes for healing i would go with either Sage or Scoundrell (Sorcerer, operative) since mercenary/commando is little behind. The other aproach is to roll whatever sounds cool for ya. There is always a place for someone who knows what he is doing and stays classy, especially in pve.
  14. Are your characters rested (google it if needed). Do you run daily flashpoints? Do you run daily Warzones? I ask becouse im sub as well, however im always rested, i do flashpoints daily, and sometimes WZ (not much so far). And i cant complain about xp. Generally if i do class quests + most side quests + planet story its more than enought. I very often skip Heroics ( not in mood for o iwaiting) Also in worse case scenerio you can always repeat heroics. But i suppose that rest + FP + WZ is both easy and effective way to improve your xp issues.
  15. IMHO the best f2p model is when a lot of people can try a game, but in the end many/most ends as subs or buying the game. SWTOR seems to be quite unplayable in full f2p mode so its definetly succesful. After all marketing is not about providing service as desired by customers, but about finding new exiting ways to charge the sheeps from every penny they are willing to spend. ;-) For me as universal gamer the whole MMO RPG genre is dead end, nothing good will born here.
  16. Why people are not happy about SWTOR? Its a price for own fame for Bioware. People are expecting something in line with Baldurs Gate II, Jade Empire, Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age Orgins. And SWTOR is just a totally different beast, when it hits you, its shocking. For me SWTOR is too much WoW in ExU SW. I like ExU SW but i dont like WoW, if i liked WoW, i would plaied it! HOwever i still kinda enjoy the game (SWTOR), i plan to do all 8 storyilines and have great time. However as soon as i reach 8x50 there will be uninstall and never look back. The only sin of SWTOR is that its another generic MMO, nothing bad with that, just not all folks enjoy the genre. Happens, no hard feelings. It gets some points for SW mark. As for reason why not be happy with SWTOR as a game: - MMO gameplay, which often means just tapping various keys on keyboard from 1 to + (aka rotacion) with good enough key binding you can even just roll your face over for maximum effect. Hardly any ability have condicional effect. Most abilities look same they just vary with DMG value, cld and activacion/channel time. - NO immersion. If i play sniper it totally dont feel like im shoting something. If i play sith warrior its not like facing. Maybe if playing sniper was more like ME, and Jugernaut more like Chilvary it would felt better but its not, and never be. As i said SWTOR is just another generic MMO. - Storylines without choices. You cant roleplay if you cant make choices, and if there is no real consequences of it. - Cripped dialogues. - Cripped companions. No Dialogues, no side missions, just sam short liners if you fed them with enought gifts. And generally they are poor written.
  17. Lets face it, nothing in this game comes close to KotOR or TSL (the Sith lords aka KOTOR II, yeah i know Kotor II wasnt even fnishied before release). However im in weird position since im still playing the game, and even have fun of it. However i still miss that it havent done be better, and that its just another generic MMO instead of fine crpg with dialogues, and choices.
  18. I personally like most Defender and Fury models. Which belongs to sith inqusitor/warrior and Jedi Consular/Knight. The reasons are similar: - Both ships have very tradicional design, similar to some well know spececraft from uiverse. Fury is in lina with TIE. And Defender is another corelian model. - Both ships have short running distance fron cockpit to exit. - The room layout is quite sensible. Also ships look solid.
  19. Taris is ok, what i like is that is pleanty of sidequest and its all seems to be tightly packed, you never run long to quest or back. Taris for me is much better than Alderaan which i remember as neverending speeder ride.
  20. I have 8 toons from level 15 to 44 on both sides. And there is no much difference. " On each side there is a big chance to meet players cheerful, helpful, respectful, tolerant... generally lads you want to play with more. es Unfortuntly on both sides there are: - Ninja looters - Objective thieves - Drama lamas - Selfish jerks. So, if someone want to start some war " My side is moral better than yours" i honestly cant support it with my experience.
