  1. I agree that it was handled poorly, though I was happy to actually get them. I'm not a new sub, but my computer was broken when they originally came out and I wasn't subbed at that time because it was silly to continue to pay for a service I couldn't access. Still, I totally agree that there should have been something for the people who already had them, and there should have been a requirement to meet.
  2. You know, I think I could live without the chapter, but I'd pay CC for Z00m. I mean, really just want someone to sweep up around my strongholds. I can't be expected to clean up after myself, lol. I'd love to play it, I have no qualms with old rewards coming back, but it's not up to me. Whether they bring it back or not it will piss off one group or another. It all comes down to who they choose to piss off. At the end of the day our subscription mney all looks the same in BW's bank account.
  3. I honestly don't care whether it's Pub vs.Imp or something else as long as it's engaging and well done. It could be the coolest most "Star Wars" idea ever pitched, but if the execution isn't done well it won't be fun to play.
  4. I think they either need to completely remove the option to kill LIs or start treating all killable companions as though they can be and are still in the stoiy for some players. I think most rational people wouldn't care whether an LI could be killed if it didn't mean they lost interaction with that character in future stories. I really don't get along with Lana, but as long as kill options mean that the people who do like her would lose her as well, I absolutely refuse to support a kill option for her or any other LI. As for Theron, I don't believe for a second that leaving him behind resulted in his death. Satele didn't look sad, she looked like a pissed mama who was gonna go get her boy. Boyd has even said he'll be in future story. I think his role will differ based on your choice, but I think he's going to be alive for everyone. I'm going with the GoT rule here, until you see absolute confirmation, a character is probably alive.
  5. Thanks, the second pair you mentioned might work. If there are lights on the right side than the other side could just look like gloves. ISearching the gtn just gets tedious when you don't have a clear direction for the search.
  6. Okay, I realize this is a random question, but I'm trying to give the impression that one of my characters has a cybernetic arm from just below the elbow down. I have the gloves that make it look like his hand is gone, but I'd like to try tofind a set of bracers that look like there's only a bracer on the right arm, or that the bracer on the right arm is bigger, or more noticeable. Does anyone know if there's anything like that in the game?
  7. I can't access the rooftop garden in my stronghold either, nor could I access the rooftop garden on a friend's.
  8. I find the big main room very challenging. I really hate the way the centerpiece hook breaks down. I wish there were more options that included the mediums and medium narrows. I don't like having furniture in the middle of the room. Maybe it's just a weird OCD tick, but it drives me nuts!
  9. Luna, I am totally stealing some of your ideas, lol! We did the same thing with the Sith Statue walls in our hallway.
  10. I would be satisfied with once a day, week, etc per faction over legacy. We don't have cross faction guilds and since conquest is a guild activity, things I do on one faction shouldn't prohibit me from gaining those points on the other faction as well. The guilds I'm in are sister guilds and due to our small size and the once per legacy restrictions we can rarely hit the minimum goal on both Imp and Pub. There really is no reason the restrictions shouldn't be based on faction rather than legacy.
  11. I'm also still running into the same issues with toggling the PvP off in the stronghold that were present on the PTS. It defaults to PvP whenever I leave the stronghold or log out, even though enable PvP is not selected.
  12. To be honest, I would much rather just be able to decorate my class ship. I have no idea what to do with the patrol ship on Rishi, except to use it as a place for all the enormous turrets and cannons my agent has collected, lol I was just thinking about how much I wish we could go exploring under the ocean on Manaan. I mean, you can get down there by means of glitching, but it would be a lot of fun if I could zip around in my submersible speeder from Manaan.
  13. To be honest, I don't think he actually died. I think it's a GoT style fake out.
  14. Yeah, I was on the PTS and expected the issue to be resolved, but it's exactly the same as it was there.
  15. I'm also seeing issues with toggling PvP on and off in the stronghold. It still has to be clicked multiple times to get the PvP to actually toggle off, and this has to be done every time I leave the stronghold or log out.
  16. I'm just going to address this as it was my idea. I actually still stand by this because I think it would ultimately have better results. Yes, I absolutely acknowledge that if they did this instead of making strongholds with PvP elements it would mean that sometimes they make an arena and sometimes they would make a stronghold. The reason I think this would work better is that there wouldn't be two different sets of expectations. If you call something a stronghold the decorators are going to look forward to certain things. If you look in the stronghold forum the pinned thread is "Welcome Home". So, it's not as if the players came up with these ideas or impressions without direction. However, if they created arenas that could be designed and decorated for PvP few people would check that out with the expectation of finding a home. No one would expect there to be a toggle for PvP. The expectation would be that the arena was for PvP and you'd be flagged for it. People would also have different ideas of what the hook layouts should be in order to work best for PvP. I think it would make designing, fine tuning, and debugging so much easier. Even if someone who didn't PvP bought the arena for decorating they wouldn't buy it and expect there to be a place to make a cantina or a home. Not gonna lie, I'd buy an arena and probably just decorate it for fun, but I'd not expect it to function like a stronghold because it wouldn't be a stronghold. Now, I doubt they'll do that. If PvP and decorating continue to be combined than it's likely to be in strongholds. Combining these two elements of play was absolutely bound to have clashes since it kind of thrusts a solo play element (meaning you decorate and stuff alone) and a group element like PvP into the same space. I think it can work for both and be a good edition to the game, but will take a lot of fine tuning and tinkering to get it right. This was the last build for the PTS, it's not the final product. Just because the fixes didn't make it into the PTS build it doesn't mean they aren't going to be addressed. Maybe the devs are working on them and have been, but they're more complicated to address than the usual SH tweaks. . I stand by my statement that I'd support another delay for them to address the PvP problems.
  17. If PvPers feel it needs more work I think that's something that should certainly be taken into consideration. I hope that the devs are able to address the problems before the patch goes live, or that they take the time they need to in order to fix the problems. I support them taking whatever time is needed to make the SH the best possible product for everyone. I know my saying I would support a delay doesn't fix anything, but I feel it is supportive to back improvements whether they are something that effect me or not. I think the PvP in a stronghold thing is very experimental at this point and will likely evolve quite a lot if the practice continues. It's a bit of an awkward pairing in my opinion, but if they can make it work I think it will be a good one. I wonder how many of the problems are due to a clash between the mechanics of strongholds and that of PvP.
  18. No one is actually saying that. My question was in regards to the comment about it saving 8v8. I hadn't seen anything specifying that it was the purpose of the stronghold to do that. I was asking genuinely, because I thought perhaps I'd missed where that was said. I wanted more information, or rather clarification. Thank you for the quote, it is appreciated. I do stand by my statements about making custom arenas for PvP might be a better option than actual strongholds. That way the arena could be wholly designed around the idea of PvPing rather than trying to make it work for multiple groups. I would think it would make putting it together with PvP mechanics in mind much easier to accomplish. It need not be a this group against that group situation. This is the first time they've added PvP to a stronghold. Finding the balance is bound to take some experimenting and will probably not be refined the first time. Hopefully, the next time they do this it will not require so many adjustments, and hopefully the live patch for this SH will have addressed some of the PvP concerns. For the record, if these are truly deal breaking issues for the PvPers I would support another delay to see them fixed. Many PvPers supported a delay to address the PvE concerns. It's only fair to support them in return. I do PvP from time to time, but I'm not practiced or skilled enough to offer quality feedback on the performance of the patch.
  19. Was it advertised as that? I'm asking honestly. I only ever saw things saying that you could PvP in the stronghold, but I always had the impression that it was meant more as a fun addition to strongholds for people who wanted to PvP, than anything else.. Wouldn't it kill the regular PvP pops if the stronghold functioned like a normal match? I wonder if some of the choices made were deliberate in order to keep regular PvP from suffering over much with this new addition. While I don't begrudge the addition of PvP to strongholds and I think it's great that they are offering a new avenue for PvPers, I think pairing that particular gameplay with strongholds was a bit of an odd marriage. Maybe in the future a better option would be to put out arenas that can be designed and decorated like a stronghold but have them be their own thing wholly focused on PvP. I imagine it's been difficult to find the balance between PvP and stronghold mechanics.
  20. It could also be a reflection on the difference in the entertainment value of the casters rather than the game itself.
  21. I think you've made some good ones for sure. I totally agree with the buzzing sound. I kind of hate it. Who wants to hear flies buzzing around their house, lol! I can see the appeal of manual doors, but I think they would be a pain in such a small building. I know I tend to bounce around rooms when decorating and having to pop in and out of decorating mode would be annoying if I waas in the zone, lol.
  22. Sorry to quote you again, but manual doors would be a pain when decorating. You would have to leave decorating mode every time you wanted to go into a room with a door. That would get old fast. I'd much rather have automatic doors.
  23. I actually would prefer a railing, but maybe the best option would be for the hooks along the outside of the balcony to be close enough together for players to install their own railings if they choose. I would love to have it railed in, but I can see how some would not, besides, I'd rather choose my own railing anyway.
  24. I don't know if this has been the case for anyone else, but once I logged out and back in the ongoing explosion sound stopped. I don't know if that's helfpful information for the team, but I thought it was worth saying. Also, and I brought this up in another thread. It would be nice if some, or all of the small hooks that line the walls in the overlook were converted into medium narros where possible. One more hook issue is that there are few meuim hooks near walls. The problem with this is that most of the bigger beds fit on medium hooks. I don't know a lot of people who put their bed in the middle of the room. That being said, I can see from the way the floors are designed why this is the case. In general, I think level floors are more versatile. All of that being said, I'm pretty happy with the changes. I don't want to sound ungrateful. I know putting the overlook in must have been a lot of work. To be honest, most of my suggestions are just for fine tuning and there are ways around the issues presented.
  25. I second this. While it is not something that is a super big deal, it would be cool to have doors. The elvvator moves pretty fast, but it's another thing that isn't a huge deal. Most of what I found was along those lines. There were things I would have loved to have seen implemented, but they;re more a matter of personal taste. I would still love to see nice wooden floors, but again, that's personal taste and not a thing I expect you to put in there. I love what you've done. I do think the largest room in the overlook would be more flexible if you had two large hooks with little green hooks on top, instead of the centerpiece hook, but some people might like the hooks as they are. Oh! There was one thing, and I don't know if there is really anything to be done about it, but I thought I'd mention it. I used the pick up all decorations option while in the staging area, and it picked up almost all of the decos in the entire hideout. I don't know if that was intended, but it's potentially problematic. Still, I love what you've done with this stronghold and all the feedback you've listened to.
