  1. Here is one of my own, so here we go: SWTOR When i first started playing just over a year ago, i was part of a guild that was run by a 13 year-old kid, (i was 18 at the time, now 19) whom was actually one of the more nicer and mature-er ones i met. The guild was pretty active and despite my social anxiety, i was liked by alot of the guild members and quickly rose up in rank to that just under the GM. About 3-ish months later, i noticed there were 2 cyan-blue crystals in the bank (the ones from the Cartel Market) and the guild has always had a habit of open guild bank so we didn't have to pay who put those items in there or anything. Free to guild. Well apparently that changed when 3 days later, the GM got back and noticed i took them and made a MOTD stating "Guild Bank closed due to theft. Will resolve ASAP". Not thinking i had anything to do with it, i carried on playing for a couple more days. Then i logged on when the GM was on and he confronted me about taking the crystals. After stating my case, saying its always been free to guild, and everyone has done it (Even another guildie took WAY more in value than i did just days before i took the crystals). In the end i didnt back down from my position due to the fact i already used the crystals, and upon stating that, the GM (reminding you this is a 13 year old) said i now owed the amount in credits to the GB instead. I was really poor back then and given my mental acuity i can tell he was having a small fit, and that the whole deal was pointless because... ITS A GAME. and people put stuff in the GB that they didn't want/couldn't use. So again, i said no and wasn't gonna do anything and go about my merry way. Upon that, the 3 other guildies that liked me basically stated they were VERY disappointed (Woah... i care why?) and found my self immediately booted from the guild. I pretty much played alone after that because i have always considered myself a grief and burden among others so i don't bother anyone. Ever since then (just over a year) been playing by myself. In the end, i do think i was maybe out of my depth a bit on what i did, but i regret nothing from that situation. SOOOOO good riddance to that terrible child-tantrum GM and guild full of judgemental mis-fits. *cue hulk walking down the road alone song* -Nikki <3
  2. Hey everybody! So i have an amusing idea i think will go somewhat far if it gets enough attention. I have heard some pretty crazy stuff from people who play MMO's who have had weird run-ins, epic fails, epic wins, or just overall good amusing stories in their MMO adventures. So i have an idea to start a thread where all of us forum-jockeys can post a story to share with the rest of the community. It can be about anything, (WARNING: MEME LANGUAGE/REFERENCES) like Good-guy Greg moments, dealing with nasty people, being part or observing a fail/win, an MMO Confession (maybe you like to steal from multiple guild banks? O_o),ETC. ANYTHING worth telling! Hopefully this is an interesting enough idea to get out there and hopefully be the source of a few smiles, laughs, or even causing people to be done with the internet because of something that happened which was THAT bad. Thanks for reading and hope to see all of you people's posts! -Nikki <3
  3. No, BW said no to that as well. It is a huge problem and would cause alot of people to get upset (like me) because it takes away the unique-ness of that class and provides no incentive to play other classes. It's one of the worst decisions BW could make if they do indeed do that.
  4. You'd be correct. Still, he did alot of great things. IMO more and better than Luke ever did. But there is a certain point where one should "level out" before becoming a Force God. Luke was carried too far and now lots hate him. I hate him because like his father, he is a whiney brat. Revan still has potential when you think about it. But i feel that fans have ruined his image in a way by carrying lore too far and given that BW is making him look like he is invincible, people will go off in wild tangents and then it gets out of hand. Bioware (Technically Lucas) created him, it should be up to Bioware to end him. Not gonna lie, i'll cry when that day comes, but oh well. Means they did it right.
  5. As interesting as the idea may seem to me, i still have to say i woudn't want this. And making 8 new AC's would be a nightmare for BW Austin. Main reason being them having to re-structure,re-balance, all forms of combat across PvE, PvP, ETC;.. Them adding in new abilities in with RotHC was risky but they tested those to no end before release and making those changes without effing the system up bad is VERY tough to do. As much as people want new class content, AC's are NOT the direction to be looking.
  6. That's what Revan would want everyone to believe, hmm? He is a master tactician, always planning ahead and is ruthless about it. He more than likely knew he needed an escape strategy just in case, and his was Fold Space. His quoting Malak was most likely a lesson in mortality(?) IMO. He realized he isn't invincible and that Inevitability is a *****. It's clear that is power is weaning away from him as the great ToR God (Revan) could be bested by even 4 people when he stood up against the Emperor 300 years prior. His time as prisoner and trying to keep the Emperor out of his mind and also to twist the Emperor's mind into keeping him at bay. Again, i'm a Revan fan but i do agree they should give him a proper hero's ending. Not in the open-ended way they did in the Foundry. Refer back to my post on the previous page on how there should be an expansion called the Revanchist's Fall. However all the evidence CURRENTLY implies he is still alive, mainly based off the fact BW Austin is so sketchy when asked about Revan and they ALWAYS say "Keep Playing and find out". As hopeful as i am about having a Dedicated expansion, i have a suspicion they will write Revan out like they did the Dread Masters: short "side" story, and a massive 16-man Nightmare Op to physically take Revan down. (16 people taking on near-God Revan? IDK about you, but that sounds awesome to me regardless).
  7. I started playing before F2P, and the Sith Warrior storyline got me hooked onto the game before i even had it. when F2P hit, i was already paying and the limitations on F2P weren't an option for my playstyle so i keep paying and gladly will continue to do so.
  8. In preferences, you can turn them off
  9. I seriously hope this doesn't happen. It will ruin the "unique-ness" of the classes.
  10. Chump Change for elder-gamers. =p
  11. This is an idea i can get behind... although personally if they made NFP's, id want them to be 8 man. HMFP seems like a perfect 4 man thing to me, and Nightmare is 8 man. Again, just me. But i agree with this.
  12. I'm just going to go ahead and give you a big, fat NOPE. Reason certain classes use those weapons is because it makes them unique. If you take away their special weapons, then what is the incentive to use them? Nothing aside from different abilities. So again, i will say NOPE.
  13. Debatable. I always knew he was a throw-away character and i also realized it when he played no part in class story when he was in every single trailer and intro movie to this game. One had to put the pieces together to see that. Plus let's face it... Malgus isn't even CLOSE to stand up against Revan.
  14. I consider myself a Revan fan. Easily my favorite Star Wars character. HOWEVER i do agree to a certain extent of what is being said here. They should wrap up the storyline because IMO, it's been over 10 years (i think) since Revan first turned up in KotOR. I love that game to death, i still play it from time to time. I think they should kill Revan off, and turn him into a martyr or sorts where pretty much everyone can level and come to some agreement for what he did and who he was. If i had my druthers, i want BW to put out Revan's death as follows: Game update titled "The Revanchist's Fall" and have an updated class story line (kind of like RotHC on Makeb), where the whole goal of the update is to finally kill Revan in one final clash between the powers. As people have stated, they could play this off where BOTH FACTIONS are after him by having Revan fall back to the dark side, still hell bent on destroying the empire, and the Republic trying to stop his genocide. (Please comment or speculate, i'm just throwing out ideas). And the storyline ends in Revan going out with a bang, and ACTUALLY dying. tl;dr? Extended story line for all classes that ends up in your character killing Revan. Revan is too good to die in a group Flashpoint... come on, we are more classy than that.
  15. I cannot wait until BW Forum Admins whip you so hard with bans and mutes. Your complaining is getting really really annoying. You know nothing about class balancing. That and if you knew how to play your class, you wouldn't be talking. At this point you are beyond hope of learning to play. Please, go and complain elsewhere like.... Pluto. Far Away. From all of us. Who don't care about you. -Nikki
  16. YES. PLEASE. BIOWARE, PLEASE DO THIS. /signed 99999999999999 times over
  17. God damnit, please for the love of god, stop complaining. It's not the class abilities that is the problem, it's your ability to PvP. Non-existent if you seriously think Sage/Sorc needs to be buffed. I would like to direct you back to one of your many forum posts here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=727613 Please re-read my 2 posts you will find there, and kindly shut up, because people like you are making PvP and PvE a nightmare because of asking for damage boosts/nerfs/ability changes. -Nikki <3

    forgot about that one!
  19. This isn't a first person shooter. This isn't cod. This isn't halo. you want those choices, go play those. HOWEVER people have asked for a list to select what maps they would rather play (as it stands right now, only one map is used for one game-type), so that's as close as you'll get.
  20. I may be wrong, but Kamino didn't "Exist" during the Cold War Era. Plus i'd rather they not add Kamino, because that world belongs to a different IP (Battlefront, lego, etc) and as it goes so far, SWTOR and BW have been good about not attempting to bring in other IP's assets. Lore wise, i don't think they knew about it yet, personally-wise, i'd say no to this just due to immersion and story/lore.

I think BW stated a long time ago about that decision, i think it was due to player conflicts and people not getting along. As it is, alot of people get pissed at each others' faction because it's common for a pack to roll up in class areas and kill those trying to enjoy the game. I am a victim of such. Don't hold me to the reason, but in my opinion I'm glad you can't talk to the other faction. THAT BEING SAID: The exception should be if they are on your friends list, so if your friend goes to play on his pub or imp char, you can still talk. BUT I don't mind either way, so for right now, i'm happy as is. I just don't make friends on either faction. Easier to deal with. PS: Afterthought. It's also interaction and immersion. Not many cases of Sith and Jedi co-existing nicely. (YES i KNOW there are exceptions). But for the most part, each faction stays to their own side. That may be why. Me being an RP-er, Immersion-ally speaking(?), being able to talk to the opposite faction would ruin the immersion for me. Each faction is at war/despise each other and that's the way it's supposed to be.
  22. Okay, now i will defuse your rage post: Again, BW won't because despite your blinded-in-rage words, The classes are extremely balanced for the classic combat triangle system that exists in MOST RPGS. And some classes rely on stealth to use, Assassin being one. Take that away, and that causes a massive unbalance in gameplay. Are you nuts? WOW that's going to get you popular VERY quickly. Nerfing DPS classes is like taking the D out of DPS. It 's their main and only way of playing that class. DPS can't heal or tank. NEXT Not a single "I Win" button exists. You are mis-associating this with the other player gaining the upper hand on you. That's called PvP. The whole point of stuns is a recovery period, for healing, or to catch up or pull ahead on damage scaling. Again, removing that aspect of stuns will cause a massive unbalance. Okay, so this is where you really have no concept of class balance. First off, as i said before, removing a class that uses stealth as a main focus is taking away the purpose of that class. Secondly, removing stealth while they hold affects over players in PvP is retarded. In PvP, it's effects everywhere. Again, removing purpose of class. Third, Stealth classes cannot enter stealth while in combat anyway, HOWEVER (I'm not sure for other classes) The Assassin has an ability to escape combat and enter stealth immediately. That's a class ability you can get from a trainer, removing that from combat is also dumb. Your opinion, completely biased if i might add. Those classes have those for a reason, and to add, DPS stealth only lasts 6 seconds and they get kicked out of it upon dealing/taking damage. Again, it gives the player using a moment to recover, take in situation ETC. Thats why class balance exists, and if you care to notice, the Imp Sniper is one of the best DPS classes (can't remember the top one). The reason they class balanced the way they have is so that force classes don't become gods in the game. REALISTICALLY, gun users in the star wars universe don't get off that well against force users. Removing damage bonuses is also taking away from class abilities, for example, Assassin's have an ability that can only be used when facing the back of an opponent for X amount of damage. The Assassin's have WAY more powerful attacks that that one to use on you. That ability simply provides an incentive if you manage to get behind the person by having an ability at low resource cost, that can do a moderate amount of damage. PS. Double attacks are skill tree related, thereby also removing core class abilities, so again nope. There is a reason they removed it, because Sorcerers and Sages could become stun-locking machines and people got pissed. You are the first person to complain about this so i find it hilarious this is even an issue. As i said in my first post, classes are the way they are for balance. as far as i know, each class has one stun, one hold, and 3-4 abilities with stun side effects. Before that, the sorcerer and sage had almost all of their DPS abilities with stuns. That is unfair. Classes have the abilities they have for a reason. And guess what, here is the real mind blower. CLASSES HAVE THEIR OWN COUNTERS FOR BEING STUN OR HELD. OMG i know, right??! Shocking. You die in PvP, get over it. You cannot become a Demi-God in PvP, get over it. I get you are butt-hurt about not being all powerful, but you have to look at it from the perspective of the rest of the SWTOR community. Everyone enjoys PvP, people have their good games, people have their bad ones. All it takes is practice, learning to properly play the PvP side of your class, and plan against the other people taking the upper ground on you that you are rage-complaining about. I cannot stress enough about how balanced the classes are as they stand, damn near perfect IMO. There is a way to get out of holds, stuns, etc. It's up to you to figure out how and how best to counter those people using those abilities. OR Don't play PvP so we don't need to hear you complain. Simple. -Nikki <3
  23. Uh-Oh, Class Complainer alert. Okay i read your previous post complaining about some abilities being taken from your favorite class(es). First to address your impatience, even if BW did care, it wouldn't get fixed for a LONG time. Second to address your suggestion/complaint: Just because a class you play doesn't have "X" doesn't mean ALL classes should get reduced. From playing pvp extensively (understatement) i'd say everything is as balanced as they could make it. Every class has the right amount of stuns or interrupts ETC; Obviously you feel otherwise, but i will pose this to you. Because you, JUST YOU, are upset about classes having a combat disadvantage, don't you think deducting other classes would help? NOPE. Because then it's everyone's problem and you'll get smack from it. Also here is something else to think about. Ever considered you might be playing your class incorrectly? Maybe the other players have a skill advantage over you? OR JUST MAYBE there is class balance for a reason? For instance, every class is NOT supposed to be a mega-adapt-to-every-situation War machine, no. There are pros and cons to every class and their abilities. If you don't like something on one class, go play another. Or, just live with it. Majority of players (myself included) very much LOVE where the class balance sits for PvP purposes. It's my opinion that if they fiddle with the class tweaks too much, it will cause the whole combat triangle to break and cause a mass outrage in the PvP world. Do i agree with what you are saying? Absolutely not. Because to me, you and maybe a FEW (by few i mean .2% of swtor players) have your problem. Classes play their own way and the player behind them adapts and leans to use it. So either live it or don't, your choice. All i'm saying is it's as balanced as it's ever going to be and BW isn't going to risk upsetting the class balance they already have. -Nikki <3
