  1. Oh yeah, I've clever juggernauts who killing blow a ling sorc with a force push. Not because force push does damage or anything, but because force push makes the target fly for 1 GCD, and when a sorc is flying it can't actually barrier up.
  2. 400 ranked games this season, KB root is 10 times better than bubble stun for ling sorc, and empty body is also 10 times better than sith defiance. My reasons are as such: For a ling sorc, if your bubble stun is working properly, dishing out effective stun, then your position is pretty much wrong. And a clever player can easily break bubble stun without stunning itself due to the range restraint. KB root creates a huge advantage in MMA bridge (without blasting enemies off bridge), OBA (blasting enemies off bridge), CSquare low ground and Tatcanoyon ramp etc. For a ling sorc, the extra dmg mitigation is insignificant compared to empty body + resurgence hots self heal. Double relic proc unnatural preservation 12k self heal crit all day.

  4. Sapped strength, empty body, emersion and KB root is undebatable for PvP. For the third utility in skillful, you can either opt for tempest mastery to get that force storm spam in regs or sith defiance for a bit better defense in ranked. I usually go for sith defiance as I don't really force storm spam and I played ranked most of the times. For heroic, there are actually a lot of variations. The most common build go for corrupted barrier and force mobility for unrivaled Rdps mobility and a massive heal after barrier, so you won't get CC'd and globaled after barrier. There are another variation to opt for corrupted barrier and surging speed. The point of this build is it allows sorc to be a fight initiator in ranked withour dying. You basically either speed in, or just run in and initiate fight, and if you get opened on my melees, just barrier, and force speed away as surging speed finishes force speed CD after barrier. It exploits the fact that most FOTM melee these days require you to do an early barrier, for example when double PT gets on you, your corrupted barrier would be utterly useless as you need to insta barrier upon double thermal det, and when stacked hatred open on you, there is basically nothing you could do other than to just barrier and wait out the shroud duration. I've seen Venrin use it. You can kite 70k - 80k dmg without suffering a lot of dps loss. There is a third variation that go for surging speed and corrupted barrier (no move-cast). Don't use it unless you are absolutely confident with your kiting skill
  5. It's really desperately needed for an Rdps. There are some clever players who cheese you thundering blast by bursting you during a thundering blast, and it's very annoying. I do the same thing against jugg. Thundering blast then during their ravage hard cast and they can't reflect.

  8. Please. Or make force barrier overrides all existing casts. There are numerous times where I got globaled during a TB hard cast, because in my desperation I realized no matter how hard I smash the key for force barrier, it's not gonna override my cast. And there are even more annoying situations, where in a panic I smashed escape button to cancel thundering blast, but it lagged into my barrier and canceled my barrier at 1 stack of enduring bastion. Please.
  9. I am going to keep that signature for eternity. There is no AOE since pre-launch that came nearly as powerful. I read in another thread it's a 200-300 dps lost which losely translate to 12.7% avg dps lost. I am wondering if anyone can link me some detailed parse so I can see compare and figure out some new strats for solo ranked play. As a ranked PvP player, I don't mind the nerf on force storm at all. Force storm is just dumb. What I am worried is the double proc nerf. First off, double proc nerf is evidently migrating burst damage to sustained damage, which is never good in ranked play. Second, it puts ling sorc in an very awkward place, where our burst is not even remotely close to the MM or arsenal burst (don't even get my started on that 16k ambush ********), but we can't cry for a buff either because corrupted barrier outranks other DCDs for RDps by a mile. I am just hoping there won't be further nerfs for season 5. Any nerf stacked on this one can't be easy to handle
  10. That's exactly what I said. AP globals people all day long not because of their shoulder cannon. It seems ridiculous but it is that triple 12k crit that hurts, not shoulder cannon spam.

  14. I want to queue group ranked, but why would it make me feel awesome that the moment I became the world best group ranked player I have beaten a grand total of 10 teams queu'ing world wide? Plus I always believe that the best way of group ranked is you take 4 any class it would work, instead of having to take a tank and a healer. Group ranked is not really work the effort, for example, that notorious double sniper team, they worked so hard on coordination and stuff, only to find that they can be beaten simply by taking a ling sorc dps.

  19. Elo system works really weird for your first 20 or so games. I recall last season, the first game I lost out of the initial 10s gave me a -27. Also it ****s up your rating really hard if enemy team won with a player with very few games, especially if said player has not yet complete the initial 10s, because players who don't have initial 10s still have a rating, sometimes a very low rating. Specifically, a player who's 1-0 have a 1200 rating and 0-1 a 1100 rating, and even though they don't have an actual rating, the system will think you just lost to a 1100 play and give you a huge rating loss. With that being said, I find rating system to be not too bad most of the matches. What I really don't like is how sometimes I would get surprise -18 from a 3v4 match because rating loss is spread among all players.
  20. Hey snipers, quick question here. Can you clip penetrating blast like how you clip that vengeance ravage? I seem to have observed that the last hit of penetrating blast applies damage before it applies full animation, just like vengeance ravage. Can anyone confirm this observation? If so, should I clip my PB?
