  1. Not at all StevetheCynic; I totally enjoyed reading your post. I'm interested in any pov you guys may have. You certainly raised solid pertinent points. OFC lore is important. Imho it can't be compromised; as for logistic to exit non story related FPs, I like to think that can be solved relatively easily. And when things get really tricky, I guess we can always resort to SWTOR mysterious shuttle that picks you up in caves, mountain tops and any kind of hard to access location lol. keep it coming !
  2. SWTOR flashpoints are great, yet heresy !!! Even healers and tanks struggle at times to get into those. So. Why not have a momentary Empire and Republic truce to remedy this ? Any technical issues you can think of would prevent such great idea?
  3. it certainly does and reaffirms what I used to know a long time ago. so easy to forget!... a great many thanks for investing the time to be thorough.
  4. Back after a long break trying to upgrade my augments. Looking at my accuracy, 100 (actually 101) in melee accuracy doesn't show 111 in force accuracy. Have I missed something? Something changed? Must I see 110 in melee accuracy now?
  5. Joonbeams... WOW. You outdo yourself in the ridiculous. The pants I wear (with square patches on legs) are the exact same pants that the simulator shows without patches (window to the right). I simply took more screenies to demonstrate that the patch appears regardless of colour dyes or clickable colour matching options. How hard is that to understand? Don't try and manipulate this to make it about you and satisfy some ego trip pride. Less acting up victimised > more objectivity pls. I can't help it that you confuse issues. This is NOT about colour, this is NOT about colour at the back of the knees as you invented... It's about items looking drastically different from the simulator to > being worn. Simple.
  6. You last 2 have cognitive deficits? Have I said the colour at the BACK of the knees was an issue? No. I said my issue was: Whether you apply a colour dye or not, trousers are different from the simulator (dressing window on the right) to the real article (what I wear). In other words... If you were less busy flaming and more observing, you'd see the only difference is the PATCH ON THE FRONT. FYI they're called Tythian Disciple's Greaves - which still changes nothing to the fact that on the simulator the front is a plain dark grey ish and when worn, with a gross patch. Geddit? New screenies without colour dye for those last 2 posters. https://imgur.com/7EwmKCU https://imgur.com/lGamn2R
  7. To the guy above - No. On the simulator the knees are black as per my screenies whether or not you use the colour matching option. I posted both situations so your comment is not only flawed, it's also redundant. Take care. As for the rest of you good people. I chuckled at the tragically desperate attempt at righteousness from some deluded fools pontificating on whether I am capable to prioritise my spending. Seriously people... wake up. Not everything is about money. There are principles to uphold in life and things that you must question. Even if you don't get answers or those you expected! Now I have learned that SWTOR doesn't have the ethic to sell a product faithful to its description. Is it a game changer? No, I'll still love the Star Wars universe. Am I gonna lose sleep over this? Most certainly not. But I'm glad I went to the bottom of things and got a clear picture thanks to the intelligent comments of some. As for the haters, emo vultures / vampires that lurk roaming this forum lol... maybe one day you'll have something to care for about your OWN lives Til then I wish y'all heaven and tanks again for joining in trying to help. Happy hunting !
  8. What's going on here fellas... Is this selective reading or just being disingenuous? When did I say I have a problem with the colour matching option?... I said the pants colour from the window dressing simulator is different from the real article. Meaning my initial need was the colour pants WITHOUT the need to use the colour matching option. I only entertained the colour option element in this discussion to show you I had explored all avenues. So... now I'll give you 2 big images to keep it simple One with the colour option on. https://imgur.com/kmZcG2r One without the colour option on https://imgur.com/htvy2B7 Get it?
  9. I tried all options - no joy. happy to provide more screenies for each situation.
  10. Lighting is not my concern. Reflection or not, the dressing simulator very role is to illustrate what items would look like in their many colour iterations. Imagine an online clothing store telling you "sorry sir but due to light reflection your blue jeans are actually green. Live with it..." If anything, imo light should be a neutral constant so as not to affect colours. Yet in my case we clearly have different colour end products. Not my style to argue about every little thing but in this case I feel I got mislead - albeit just by incompetence. And it's not fair I should pay and suffer for having paid.
  11. I have followed exactly all the steps some of you suggest here such as using the collection to simulate dyes - here is the screenie of the expectation next to the disappointing end result. https://imgur.com/a/2YlkP I'm amazed at the level of cynicism some of you are displaying here - why would I lie to a game forum?! I can only assume that you're acting like such desperate hate mongers based on your own standards - and it's sad tbh. If anything the proof of my saying is there for you to see - so I hope you'll have the honesty to comment fairly this time.
  12. Ye I have contacted customer supports OFC. And no, screenie is for them only.
  13. If your cash cow's selling purely visual gimmicks, how is it you can't even supply products matching exactly the visuals presenting them? Just spent in excess of 2.5k CC to realise that trousers knee patches always come out a different colour than the one you planned for in the dressing window. EVEN AT MAX VISUAL SETTINGS. I have screenies to prove it! Can I have my CC back already? Or will play your old successful silent waiting game...
  14. spartan ˈspɑːt(ə)n/ adjective showing or characterized by austerity Yes fellow Swtorians hating PVP, At 300, PVE FPs farm is pointless - crates quality drops' a Myth !
  15. No mate. Read again; I ask "is PVP compulsory to upgrade gear?" - two very different things. As for whether gear is to be upgraded, personally the answer is a resounding OFC! For what it's worth, I've always spent tons even on tiny improvement to my stats.
  16. You know what, in hindsight I am in 2 minds... - On the one hand I think it's almost sacrilege to the old tried and tested meritocratic high end gear system where only the very skilled elite would get BIS - And on the other hand I feel it's only fair that everyone putting in the effort (regardless which type) should get access to BIS Also, crucially we well know "skills > gear". Idd, not everyone with BIS has the skills to defeat top tier bosses. At the end of the day leveling the playing field and making it possible to ALL to have a fair crack at toughies is not such a bad idea after all... Though strangely a part of me still thinks the old system prevails... Argh what are you doing to me EA !
  17. Whaaaaaat ?! You can get BIS gear doing flashpoints now !? Did I read correctly?
  18. Back from a 6 months break. Wait a minute... Whaaaaaat ?! Are you saying that in order to upgrade my PVE hard earned gear, I must PVP which I hate with a passion?
  19. Yeah it pretty much feels that way reading the general vibe in this official forum ... All walks of life having no real idea anymore where this farce is going, running ad nauseam vacant eyed after empty crates with the vague hope they'ill turn into something sorta palatable. Here and there one can read /cry or /rage in red caps....
  20. Changes heralded for 5.1 are simply unnecessarily over complicated. I don't care what the epeen stroking acting smart ego trippers community pretends, those changes are simply dumb. These are NOT changes based on an already working system as is the case in other successful MMos... where players are willing to put in the effort on the basis that previous formulas worked... This, is an absurd pathetic attempt to fix another deeply flawed concept. Nothing but. Pretty pls BW, just revert to simplicity with a merit based gear system that players acquire through defeating tough opponents, deliver steadily more new operations...and fix old bugs for crying out loud. Trust me, that'll be enough. Nothing stops you keep that crate system for those who hate ops and pvp but love story based contents; give it a slight boost and denomination but make sure it remains inferior in quality as per the game demands.
  21. Basically, BW is artificially extending the process of acquiring gear and thus slowing the rate at which we progress. For most, even average raiders, we'd already be fully geared in a tier or another. But this system forces us to grind thru time to qualify for the next tier up. I profoundly effing resent the fact that now time has become the only determining factor to get geared where it should totally be skills.
  22. Looks defo like this time I'm not renewing my sub for good... Breaks my heart I so love the SW universe but maybe it's time I look for another time sink. Star Citizen maybe....
