  1. Well you're not trying very hard to look at things from both sides; and you don't seem to know the definition of competitive. There are two teams in wzs, one team wins, one team loses; that right there my friend is competition. If you were to ask for an invite to an advertised pug raid, you'd need to provide proof that you've successfully completed that particular raid. If you somehow managed to get an invite without having to link your achievements, you'd be kicked out of the group the first time you did the wrong thing; hell, you'd be kicked out of a flash point if you proved to be completely incompetent. People who pay a monthly subscription to play this game primarily for pvp don't have the luxury to stop you from being in their group. The fact that you are proud to be bad at the game and enjoy trolling matches impacts 7 actual people. Someone telling you to l2p or tries to give pointers only impacts on one person, you. You're the far bigger problem here buddy. The pub faction on my server is basically dead as a result of numerous people like yourself who are proud they're bad and choose to negatively impact on other people's game time. Add in players that come into matches for comms and go afk in the corner, and you have depleted an entire faction of its player-base. This is an mmo and you're playing a part of the game that has GROUP content; yet everything I've read shouts loud and clear that you don't play well with others. I'd recommend taking up a single player game or just do story quests, rather than intentionally ruin your team's enjoyment.
  2. Hi there. I haven't seen any Latino guilds on the server for the past few months, as a matter of fact...since roughly around the time The Donald assumed office. It's probably just a coincidence.

  4. Hi there. There really aren't any large pvp guilds remaining on harb. There might be some larger guilds who happen to have a few strong pvp'ers, but those guilds in general aren't strong at pvp. There are still smaller pvp-focused guilds; but like NiM raiders, they won't randomly invite or accept players they don't know. I think your best bet would be to just add players to your friends list who you see doing well in pvp. Talk to them after games and see if they're interested in grouping. Most premades I see nowadays are made of people from different guilds who just like grouping together.
  5. I would love to see e-net miss when you're white-barred or have a cool-down timer on you as most people who play mercs are bad and just randomly spam it on any healer or melee they happen to come across. Unfortunately that is more work than the lovely interns at EA like to do. Easiest solution would be to just remove e-net as an ability altogether. Mercs no longer need it as their defense is now op. They've removed abilities from other classes before so this should be no different. I can honestly say in any game of regs, if I only get netted 5 times then that's a good game. Getting netted upwards of 10 times is now normal. When to use the ability requires no skill on the part of the merc as even if they're using it at the wrong time, one of the other four mercs on their team will happen to spam it at the right time.
  6. They increased bolster to 238 in the latest patch. I wouldn't be surprised if they've unwittingly unleashed some new form of super aids; it wouldn't be the first time.
  7. This is my biggest gripe with pubs on harb, and you're far from the only one who does it. I obviously have the memory of a goldfish as every few days I'll go and pug on pub side to do weekly/dailies/something different. This is what happens on a far too regular basis; in novara coast or civil war at the beginning of the game, 3 players will go camp the off-node; in hypergate 3 players go and camp the pylon. So these players have knocked before the game has even started, because "pub life." In civil war if the team doesn't get 2 nodes at the first try, 3 players will go and camp the off-node. People mock imps because they have all the rage quitters; with rage quitters at least you have the chance to be back-filled by players who will actually try. I much prefer rage quitters to people who blatantly go and sulk in the corner because they can't get carried to victory. If you can only do well when the odds are stacked in your favor, how do you improve as a player? If you actually put in effort you'd improve and wouldn't need to be carried. As soon as I get a team comprised of 2 or more sulkers, I go back to imps. Pubs deserve to have a lower population and a less skilled player base. I feel sorry for the few remaining players who play exclusively on pubs that make an effort; they deserve better team mates.
  8. Made a good one yesterday. Upgraded main and off-hand on my operative and planned on giving the hand-me-down mods to my scoundrel. Ended up putting both sets of mods in the off-hand (breaking one lot in the process). So scoundrel still has a 236 main instead of 242. Pretty smart.
  9. That's a question you should be asking yourself seeing as how you fail to grasp the basic concept of trade.
  10. You must be an EA intern. Your company receives payment for services provided. If I can't pay for that service I don't receive it. Surely while you're happily collecting our money we should be able to receive that service.
  11. But are you really really sure? I mean, are you sure ice caps aren't just hardened snow?
  12. Are you sure about that?
  13. This comment contains enough salt to melt the polar ice caps.
  14. I've never heard anyone I'd consider a good player blame their gear for them losing a game. If you think that way you'll only ever be good in your own mind. If you're getting significantly lower numbers than someone else running the same spec, who was involved in roughly the same amount of combat during a match, you shouldn't kid yourself that "gear" is to blame. Actually analyze what you did right, what you did wrong, and what they were doing different to you. Gear is a convenient excuse; as someone else pointed out, it's no-where near as bad as it was when expertise was a stat.
  15. Dear EA, will there ever be a chance you make this game stable? Is it too difficult to maintain the 3 servers that people still play on? Seriously, Harb shut down again during "light" traffic...amazing...
  16. EA programmers, the very best that money can buy...in Bangladesh.
  17. Sincerely, I'm amazed half the pub players in queue actually figured out how to queue in the first place. Why would any pvp-orientated player queue for pubs on harb? Outside a few hours of the day you're waiting a longer time for pops, and when you get one you're team is filled with mongs. Yesterday was the final straw for me; in a NC, a mando and a scoundrel dps sitting in the shelter for the entire game face tanking, not using any dcd whatsoever...scoundrel wouldn't roll, mando wouldn't use shield...nothing...try healing that kind of genius. Come to end of the game, no surprise to find both well below 1k dps, at level 70. I want competitive games, I don't want to pay $15 a month to bang my head against a wall. At least on imps you'll get competitive games, as in my experience it's imp vs imp 90% of the time.
  18. You're a victim, of the English language; reading your thread burned my eyes.

Monday 9am PST is obviously the most popular time of the week for people to play. This game is not broken, EA have more than enough interns working on this game.
  20. You have 4 heals on the team, of course they should be able to keep you up. None of the healers had higher numbers than the top dps on the other team, which brings me to my question; if a sniper is able to double the dps of anyone on your team, does that mean snipers should be nerfed? Or maybe your team shouldn't ignore the guy that can reduce your health by 50% in two gcd's. Much easier to blame snipers being op than accept any personal responsibility, so I say nerf snipers. Seriously, in that game you should be happy for the lack of match-making; if you replaced two of your healers with two dps the caliber of your other dps (including you), they would have beaten you 100-0; you would have spent half the game re-spawning, and you'd have zero kills instead of 8.
  21. You may not be familiar with EA's customer service ethos. I was able to find a snippet of their employee training video on the web, which will help explain why there's ridiculous server lag, 5 year old bugs, no match-making, no class balance etc.
  22. This new gearing system is designed purely for players to purchase those 65 tokens; EA simply want to squeeze more money out of their player base. To encourage purchasing these tokens, they have made all pre-70 content obsolete. Un-assembled components replaced wz comms, and they're only available at level 70; what is the point of doing pvp while leveling anymore? No pre-70 pve content has any bearing on your ability to purchase end-game pve gear; what's the point of doing any story content? Rush to level 70 where you can start earning cxp, components and get gear drops from ops. This rush to get to level 70 is the major cause of problems in pvp (in addition to zero match-making); people are too inexperienced at playing their class.I first came to the harb server around 2.4, 2.5. The first few toons I rolled I levelled almost exclusively through pvp; whatever time of day I played I never waited more than 10 minutes for a pop. By the time I got to level 55 I had enough comms to buy top tier pvp gear; but more importantly, I had a basic understanding of how to play my class in pvp. I was by no means great, but I was at least competent. I recently came back to the game after a year off and decided to roll a new toon, with the intention of levelling through pvp; this proved impossible. With the exception of a few hours a day lowbies wasn’t popping; no lowbies on the harbinger server, the most populated server in the game! Since getting my toons to level 70, what I have noticed is the standard of play in regs generally is terrible. It isn’t gear that’s the problem, it doesn’t take bis 242 gear to enable you to do 1k dps. It isn’t lack of gear that prevents you from typing “inc snow” in chat. These are l2p issues not gear issues. I’ve essentially gone back to exclusively playing op and scoundrel heals; I don’t send my gear between toons as I can’t see a difference in my numbers between my 208 gear on scoundrel and my 236-242 gear on operative. Maybe there’s a difference, but honestly it’s negligible. The last game I played on my scoundrel (and will be the last I play in a long time), my group consisted of 2 heals, 2 tanks and 4 dps in a hypergate; both heals got over 7k hps each, both tanks got more than 1mil protection, all 4 dps got UNDER 1k dps. Under 1k dps at level 70…all the gear in the world isn’t going to fix that. Unfortunately that one particular match isn’t the exception, it’s a common occurrence. You could gift these players full 242 gear, and all they’ll be is bad players with good gear (on a side note, you want a REAL increase in stats try using your class buffs, they do actually work in pvp). If EA actually care about their loyal customers (lmao) they’ll re-introduce un-assembled components (wz comms) back into lowbie pvp, dropping at the same rate they drop at level 70. Give people an incentive to play lowbies again rather than rush to level 70. I don’t think anyone that plays the game essentially for the pvp likes lopsided matches; you want to win, but just as importantly you want it to be a good game. When you have teams full of people with no clue, pvp is about as exciting as running heroics. Gear isn’t going to stop that merc on your team dropping all his dcd’s at the first sign of trouble, only experience and a willingness to learn is going to fix that. Re-introducing comms to lowbies leads to players getting more experience using their class before level 70, which leads to improved competitiveness of games at level 70. “Make lowbies great again.” – Donald J Trump, 2016
  23. They should have skill limits also. If you can't parse 1k dps then you can't queue...although queue times would increase dramatically...hmmm...scrap that thought.
  24. Please don't ask for a new map. The last time people were asking for a new map the devs got really upset and punished us with OPG.
  25. Why is it that bad players always blame their gear? There are plenty of players running around in 208 pvp gear doing perfectly fine. I'm guessing you're struggling to do 1k dps at present; if you had full 242 it would only increase your output to 1.1k, maybe 1.2k. Then you'd have to go back to the theory that imps have extra powers, 'cause you couldn't possible the reason you're bad.
