I'm going to try TESO, but I don't think I will enjoy it as much as SWTOR. I'm not really that interested in MMOs to begin with. I'm addicted to this game mostly because of the stories. So if none of those MMOs can hook me with their stories then they don't have a chance with my money.

I hope we will get more chapters more frequently. Story is the main reason I play SWTOR. If it weren't for the story, I'd go back to playing single player games as I don't have a huge interest in MMOs. While the faction-based stories of Makeb were good, I'd like to see the class stories expanded in the future. Otherwise, as someone else said, there's no reason to continue with more than two characters, one of each faction, and that is a sad thing for us altoholics!

As long as you have 2 or 3 pieces of Basic level gear (with the rest of your gear being Campaign or Dread Guard level), you should be fine. It may be tough at first, but as you get more Basic and Elite gear, you will find it gets easier. ETA: I'm speaking from a DPS point of view. As a tank or healer, you may find that you want better gear. I'd recommend tanks have 28k+ health. 30k or more is probably preferable though.

The above poster is correct. Once you've got all the Basic gear you need, dailies are no longer worth doing. But up until you get your Basic gear, dailies are a good source of Classic and Basic comms. Only Black Hole and Section X weeklies award Basic comms though so once you strictly looking for Basic gear, you will only need to do those dailies. Belsavis and Ilum dailies are only beneficial to people who would like Classic comms to get Campaign/Black Hole gear and Dread Guard relics. So basically to sum up: Pre-50 and Fresh 50 = Do all dailies. Do the last regular flashpoints. Do HM FPs. With planetary comms you can get Rakata level mods from Makeb vendor, and that is high enough to do 50 HM FPs. Getting Basic Gear = Focus on Section X, Black Hole and Makeb dailies. You can do GSI dailies too if you've started the Macro and Seeker Droid quests. Continue with 50 FPs and Ops. If you have at least 2 or 3 pieces of Basic gear, you can start doing 55 HM FPs. Getting Elite and Ultimate Gear = No longer need to bother with dailies unless you want to. Gear and comms now come from 55 HM FPs and Ops and weeklies. Hope this helped!

SWTOR is the only MMO I play so of course it's going to be #1 for me. GW2 comes in second, as I've played it longer than a week. lol. The rest of the MMOs I've tried, I quickly uninstalled them: WoW, LOTRO, Secret World and EQII (actually haven't uninstalled it but don't play it, lol).

What the above poster said is true for me as well, especially the second part. I don't like being the leader! I don't like having that responsibility. If I'm the tank and we wipe, I'm gonna feel like it's my fault, even if it isn't, and I hate that feeling. Also, tanking can be very stressful. Some people are meant to be tanks. They are cut out for it. I'm just not. Also, I just love the damage dealing role, because I love killing things. lol. That said, I do have two high level tanks: a Vanguard and a Guardian. They are both sitting at 50 right now. They were fun to level because of the extra survivability, but I'm too chicken to use them in group content, because what if I mess up?

Togruta and Nautolans for sure. It would also be cool to have Voss, Sarkhai (Nadia Grell's species), Zelosian (plant type species), Drall, Selonians, Shistavanen, and Kaminoan (never happen, but I think they are cool).

It's not a waste if you like having a new Cathar to play. Personally, I like my two new Cathar. Yeah, they don't add more to the game besides a reskin, but more variety in character appearances is always a good thing, to me anyways!

Yeah, I'm on JC too, and I detest most of the community. It's just...bad. It sucks, because my legacy is on the server so I can't just up and play on another one unless I want to start all over. Man, I hope we get server transfers again someday...

100% this. I'll take a wait-and-see approach. I also agree with whoever said that Disney will hold EA to higher standards to protect their brand's reputation. That's very true. I think many people are freaking out way too prematurely.

Melusine, Shadow - Neutral Good Xephyr, Vanguard - Lawful Good Maireada, Scoundrel - Chaotic Good Parthalan, Guardian - Lawful Neutral Ilaria, Marauder - Lawful Neutral Arriston, Sniper - Neutral Drusilla, Sorcerer - Chaotic Evil Cordula, Mercenary - Neutral Evil As you can see, I rarely play outright evil characters. I find it very hard to do so as it's quite unlike my own personality, which I would peg as Neutral Good.

1. Imperial Agent - So much fun with all the espionage and conspiracy themes. 2. Sith Warrior - Epic rise to power story with a dash of revenge. 3. Jedi Consular - My first character was a Shadow so I'm partial to this storyline despite what others say. This is the story of a wise diplomat so it's not for everyone, but I liked the feeling of having the power to influence Galactic affairs. 4. Trooper - The beginning of this story is great. I liked the whole having to assemble a squad to fight off evil. 5. Smuggler - Could have been better. Still fun, and the Smuggler has great lines. 6. Sith Inquisitor - This story just feels less focused than the others, and it's not as exciting. Jedi Knight and Bounty Hunter I can't rank yet since I haven't completed them. I'm getting close with Knight though, and it is a lot of fun so far!

I for one am excited about finally being able to play as a Cathar. They're not my first choice race. I'd love Togruta and Nautolans, but I'll take Cathar. More variety and choices are always good!

What are your favorite races to play, and which ones are your least favorite? Do you have any races that you only like for one gender? My favorites race to play is Ratattaki. My least favorites are Miraluka and Mirialan. I'm not a huge fan of the Chiss. To me they are overrated. For some reason, I prefer female Mirialans to male ones. They just look better to me, less like the son of the Green Giant. lol.

I'm a woman, and I play both male and female characters. I like to roleplay each of them in my head so I don't think of any of them as me. I have an even mix of male characters and female characters. I like to experience the different stories from different perspectives so I like making interesting combos of race and gender. ETA: It's interesting to note that most of my male characters are Pubs and most of my female characters are Imps.
