  1. I got incredibly lucky. Hadn't played the game in months when the server merge happened, and none of my characters lost their names. But yeah, it sucks, and like others have said just use a space and last name.
  2. I like your theory. I wouldn't mind having a final (for reals this time) showdown with Vitiate. I was never really a fan of Valkorion. But Vitiate back with Doug Bradley voicing him? Yeah, I'll take that.
  3. I have a soft spot for female villains so I'm going to go with Vaylin. Also shout out to Thana Vesh. She's not really a villain per se, more of a rival, but I always had fun with her on Taris.
  4. Knight - Kira, Scourge, Arcann Consular - Ashara Zavros, Master Ranos, Senya Smuggler - Nico, Guss Tuno, Blizz Trooper - M1-4X, Raina Temple, Rusk Warrior - Xalek, DS Jaesa, Khem Zash Inquisitor - Talos, Nadia Grell, Vette Agent - Mako, Theron Shan, Lana Beniko Hunter - Torian, Shae Vizsla, Kaliyo
  5. I don't see it as that far-fetched that there would be many people who support the Empire, even if doing so goes against their own interests in some way. After all, people vote against their own interests all the time and support exactly what's worst for them. We've seen it all throughout history. Feudalism was the standard setup for society for quite a long time, and while I'm sure the serfs and peasants weren't having a wonderful time, it's all they knew, and I wouldn't be surprised if many serfs were extremely loyal to their lords and kingdoms. Patriotism and nationalism aren't logical. They come from an emotional, tribalistic us vs. them mentality. So yeah I can definitely understand why a lot of ordinary people support the Empire even if they're not benefiting from it at all.
  6. My agent in KotFE. Reunited with Kaliyo at last. http://i.imgur.com/L5ASCwC.png http://i.imgur.com/k9TnH7y.png http://i.imgur.com/Pls8a7L.png
  7. Welcome! Hope you are enjoying the game so far.
  8. I've been playing off and on since October 2012. I can't believe it's been that long already. I usually play for several months at a time, then take a few months break, then start playing again for several more months. I play a couple hours a day but not every day. This October marks 4 years that I've been playing the game. Crazy!
  9. Nautolans are likely going to be the next new species available. I'd love to be able to play a Voss, because I love them, but it will never happen for lore reasons. Some other species that they could implement that would be interesting to see: Sarkhai (Nadia's species), Keshiri, Kiffar, Chagrian, Theelin, Echani, Zeltron.
  10. Top 3 - Quinn, Vette, Zenith I'd also like to see Nadia, Kira, Scourge, Corso, Risha, Guss, Elara, Khem, Ashara, Jaesa, Vector, Raina, and Mako.
  11. I noticed it as well. There are other things in the movie that also make me think, if nothing else, J.J. has played SWTOR.
  12. I post a lot, but oh well. I love showing off characters. Here's my Sorc, Melisandria: http://i.imgur.com/DB0vZ5s.png Clearly bored out of her mind by yet another quest from a lowly Imperial that is obviously below her http://i.imgur.com/VXHcEsr.png
  13. Currently leveling this Vanguard. http://i.imgur.com/ps8Cfa1.png
  14. I recommend Tatooine for the best lighting. You can get some nice screenshots there.
  15. Ooh, thread is reviving a bit. I'll share. Arriston, my level 60 Sniper http://i.imgur.com/7glOSEa.png http://i.imgur.com/0biyNOt.png Melusine, my close to being level 60 Shadow (and first ever character) http://i.imgur.com/MGvmgpa.png Evanthia, my latest Bounty Hunter, a DPS Powertech http://i.imgur.com/NmqO48q.png Drusilla, my insane Sorcerer http://i.imgur.com/RKfn5iW.png
  16. I enjoy leveling healers. Like others have said, you can take on tougher fights without ever really being close to dying. Yeah, you do have to micromanage your companion a bit more, but honestly all I really do is run with a tank and send him/her into the fight first. Fights go a bit slower than with a DPS, but quicker FP pops are worth it in my opinion. Haha.
  17. Well, you should be using your healing companion for extra survivability. It sounds like you didn't have a great experience with a heavy armor DPS class like Jugg, so you might not like DPS Powertech/Vanguard, but I do feel like those choices are quite viable for solo PVE. Your other option is to choose a stealth class. You can CC from stealth, stealth out of combat, etc. Very versatile, and you can usually bypass content you can't overcome by yourself. It's not impossible to solo many Heroic 4's with a stealther. So Imp side your choices would be Assassin or Operative, and Pub side Shadow and Scoundrel.
  18. Yes, especially if you're in a guild with max XP boost, and also use general XP boost consumables (not class story specific ones which won't stack with the 12x boost).
  19. Ugh, I know, and I don't like using Tor Fashion to show off characters. Also, the site was down for a while today. Haven't checked to see if it's up again or not.
  20. Well, I just checked server status, and the only two servers with heavy population are the two RP servers: Ebon Hawk and Begeren Colony. Most of my characters are on Jedi Covenant, and I feel like it has a decent population.
  21. If you really care about story continuity, then do Oricon first, but like the others have said, I'd recommend doing Shadow of Revan first. You get better gear and more XP that way, and you can always do Oricon afterward, and it will be a lot easier then.
  22. ^^ Some really great advice above! I can answer how many ops there are. There are 3 level 50 ops: Eternity Vault, Karagga's Palace, and Explosive Conflict. There are 4 level 55 ops: Terror from Beyond, Scum and Villainy, Dread Fortress, and Dread Palace Currently, there are only 2 level 60 ops, but I'm sure we'll see more before the next level cap increase. They are called The Ravagers, and Temple of Sacrifice. So in total there are 9 operations/raids. Note that the game also has many 4-person heroic quests within the worlds, and lots of 4-person flashpoints aka dungeons. ETA: There is also one mini-op that consists of only one boss. It's called Toborro's Courtyard, and it's level 55.
  23. I do the same thing. I'll usually find a real life name that sounds cool to me and then make it sound more Star Wars-y. Haha. Sometimes I'll just use an alternate spelling of a real life name if the real name isn't available. Only rarely have I used one of those special characters, and that was only for a name I really, really wanted: Drusilla.
