  1. Based on my experience 6 at the contested objective and 2 at the guarded objective at all times is the safest option. 7-1 still works but is definitely more risky unless lone guard knows what he's doing. In node-based games it's better to ask one or two to be a designated guard at the start, otherwise everyone will just assume the other guys will do it.
  2. It sometimes uses the double strike animation (usually when the 3 stacks of force breach shows up, but there are other instances)
  3. Your most likely problem is that shadow doesn't have access to all its key abilities/passives yet. As for specs Kinetic - tanky, mostly for protecting healers and other people playstyle - stick close to healers, tank everything. if solo guarding, just stay long enough till other teammates can help you out pros - hard to kill like most tanks cons - a bit "spiky" because it relies more on dodge/parries than outright damage reduction Infiltration - not sure if it's great at low levels, but end game it's supposed to be the bursty spec (kinda needs buffs) playstyle - mostly picking low-health targets in the middle of battle, or taking out lone defenders before the other team can respond pros - epic animation skills, decent burst if enemy is caught offguard cons - burst easily disrupted and/or negated by healers right now Serenity - Area DoT, Single target DoT, great survivability... good in some areas an excellent in others.... kind of the go-to spec for PvP right now playstyle - apply periodic damage, spread them using force in balance, and then focus on a single target to force their healer to choose between saving his/her teammates or his/her own arse. pros - versatile, good for teamfights and 1v1 cons - damage takes a bit of time to ramp up
  4. Finally got back to SWTOR and now my infiltration shadow can no longer use FiB. Also... the heck is up with those heroic tier utilities? Felt like taking an extra point in the masterful and skillful tiers are more worth it for a burst dependent discipline. Haven't tried pvp yet since i've yet to hit lvl 60, but based on what I'm reading n the forums the spec is gimped. I reset and tried serenity, and even with my current gear (pre lvl 60) everything's a lot easier. That DoT spread beats spamming whirling blow in the middle of trash mobs. I would've thought infiltration would at least be better in 1v1 battles than serenity, but 4 dots + serenity strike + spinning strike procs would beg to differ. Oh well, I'm back to infiltration spec (as i've been since 2012). I'd gladly trade my new hadouken (which i sometimes mistake for an excess clairvoyant strike messing up my rythm) for that spinning strike proc that balance/serenity always had. Also makes more sense since infil is all about them fancy saber motions. Anyway i'm still resetting and re-commiting my utility points, trying out the ones that work best in PvP. If anyone wants to help an old (PVP minded) infiltration shadow figure out what to do (hint: other than re-spec to serenity) I'd be very grateful
  5. 1. Save your current interface on PC 1 via the interface editor then log out 2. Log in your account on PC 2 3. Load your interface via the interface editor 4. Adjust key bindings (only if it's a new character --- this one should really be stored along with the interface so i dont have to rebind for every new character. bioware pls) 5. ??? 6. PROFIT!!!
  6. no double-triple-octokill though, imagine voidstar with kill announcements.. that'd be disastrous
  7. i just wanted the class buffs unlocked for my main so my alts will prolly never reach 50
  8. We've seen messages like [player] is unbeatable/unstoppable, but is it possible to add messages such as the following? Voidstar exclusives [player] planted the bomb! [player] has extended the bridge! [player] has disarmed the bomb! [player] has deactivated the forcefields! [player] reached the datacore! Novare/Alderaan/Hypergate exclusives [player] has captured a turret! Huttball exclusives [player] has the ball! [player] scores a goal! Arenas/Hypergate exclusives [player] has killed [other player!] If it's possible, add heal/tank/damage assists by other players that show on one area of the screen. What's the point? I dunno, adds more flavor? Plus those guys that actually made more impact to the game are more visible. After all, swtor's warzones are basically just a small step above MOBAs and multiplayer games in terms of scale.
  9. You guys really gonna argue about something that's never gonna happen?
  10. Dear friend, sumthin sumthin MMOWIN.com sumthin sumthin
  11. also an incentive to wear those huttball armors and practice jerseys
  12. oh, i thought you mean like how firefly could've been teh awsums but had a very short lifespan for such a series
  13. so does that mean girls can use them no prob?
  14. Irony is an adjective that denotes a resemblance to or presence of iron.
  15. I'm glad he got kicked twice. I want him to get kicked off even more ops at the last moment. Also, I hope you enjoyed wasting your time in those hard fought ops because you can never take those back. bad attitude deserves bad treatment
  16. i played shadow and survivability relies mostly on LOS/deadzoning/footwork. Blackout and saber defense provides extra survivability, but beyond that you really hafta avoid attacks in the first place basically squishy but survivable.
  17. ah force potency expiration... that feeling when you're ready to bring in the HURT and then see non crit numbers. update: still running with this build. getting polarizing results in wzs where i i either place in top three or bottom three of the scoreboard (as both turret capper and defender). I can see the added pressure to enemy healers when I use FiB on groups when I fight in mid. deadzoning opponents is much more manageable, and have scored kills hiding behind pillars with it by casting it on the edge of the obstacle, but 1v1 encounters take much more time to kill than the conventional infil build (i'm gonna chalk that up to unfamiliarity with the build for now)
  18. well, halloween... just getting in with the seasons
  19. Only valid excuse for macro is if you're missing 7 out of 10 fingers the rest should just get comfy with manual hotkey pressing.
  20. jah should've put a slash on that. basically project as soon as 2x circling shadows pops out. just got "2x" and "dual"mixed on that blunder right there. I save the burst for last because while it's easier to get them within execute range, in a wz/pvp duel i'll either get them to 40%-50% health and then - a healer helps the target - pops a health pack/pop off their defensive cd/BOTH - cloak out of sight - just derps around to die to a spinning strike/execute + 1 or 2 globals sadly number 4 doesn't happen most of the time, and while 2 and 3 can be prevented by timing my force stun right, I still need enough burst damage to finish my target within those 4 short seconds, something a saved up force potency is a great "insurance" update - it seems my FiB is roughly as powerful as a breaching shadow with 2 stacks (been getting 4-5k breaching shadow hits, while FiB hits for around 3-4k)
  21. Here's my current opener (applying liberal amounts of force slow) Spinning kick -> shadow strike -> 2x dual strike -> project -> dual strike -> SS (if procc'ed)/FiB -> project at this point I have 1 or 2 breaching shadows so I stick to dual strike/ss project until i get the 3rd stack once I have 3 stacks, I use breach --> potency --> breach --> FiB --> project Popping force potency early does a ton of damage, but falls short specially with targets above 28k hp. The followup damage after the opener is underwhelming. I would've attributed that to gear but I don't have that problem with x/36/x builds
  22. Okay, tried it out in a few warzones Build kinda forces me to use an FIB/proc'd shadow strike after the first project, otherwise I have to wait for 2nd project's cooldown. It seems the main problem I'm currently seeing in the build is that I'm pretty much stuck with dual strike and the force breach takes FOREVER to reach 3 breaching shadows. I'm gonna play it some more to get used to it but with Clairvoyant strike getting buffed, I might return to the x/36/x builds.
