  1. Sith Warrior. Bug is still around. Tried doing chapter 7 on another character and (again) the quest won't advance past "travel to the tram market". Senya won't make her comment which means I can't click on the bystander. Ugh.
  2. Bounty Hunter. Count another person stuck on the tram market part of chapter 7 while I was playing today. I didn't log out or anything like some others before the problem started, but I did reset the chapter after seeing the dark side option with Novo, just before heading up the elevator to the penthouse. When I got to the tram market again, there was no one and nothing to click on so the mission never advanced. I've reset the chapter 5 times now, even exit the game and re-entered after one of those resets, still nothing. Edit: I have no idea why but it suddenly started working. I quit the game and did something else for a while, came back, started the game up again, logged into the affected character (I was logged out in the tram market) and the quest suddenly updated... Really odd considering I did the same thing earlier and nothing happened. Hopefully they'll deal with the root of the problem during maintenance and the rest of you folks will be able to progress.
  3. ...? I find it odd that you think it's strange that a warrior or trooper can bypass the missions considering the characters (Pierce and MX, respectively) were originally warrior/trooper companions in their class stories to begin with. I mean, seriously? That doesn't make sense to you? They already have a background with those classes; it'd make less sense if they weren't willing to work with them again, no questions asked! I mean, even Lokin... considering the kind of person he is, him running off with anyone and everyone without getting something in return first would be completely out of character, regardless of the situation. I for one think these quests are fine. You don't need to recruit every character under the sun, but the option is there for those players that truly want them. The current system is fine.
  4. Except it's pretty obvious just looking at a bt3 female character that it isn't a male model. Different body structure and all that plus size. Female bt3 and bt2 male, for example, still look different enough to tell the two apart, so how anyone can mistake the two is beyond me. It's more like people just aren't bothering to pay attention. It doesn't even take more than a quick look to realize the two aren't the same. Back to shoulders. I like most of them except for those ridiculous triangles, as mentioned... which now that I think about it, remind me of imperial battle cruisers... Oh geeze, now I'm picturing those sitting on peoples shoulders and I kind of lost it. Cannot unsee. Also, "buttflaps" as someone called them are fine.... except when they clip through my character. Anyway, moar buttflaps.
  5. Why do you think the hallways are so large? So triangle-shoudler sith can actually walk through without turning sideways, OP. Uuugh, looking at that armor always amuses and baffles me. About Marr's armor... pff, female character, body type 3 with his armor. Most of my female chars are body type 3 because it looks better to me, and it fits a sith warrior pretty well. My BHs are mandos and regularly shoot/punch people in the face for a living along side their hubbies, so body type 1 just.... looks completely ridiculous. Well, it looks ridiculous in anything that isn't cloth, and I can't take it seriously if it isn't shooting lightning/throwing rocks around. I've seen people complain that body type 3 for females isn't "womenly" enough, and therefore they must want to be men (wut). Psssst.... this may shock you, but women who are extremely active and work out tend to LOSE excess body fat, and that means breasts shrink a bit, since they're basically pads of fat (I should know, being female). Get over it.
  6. ... How the hell did I forget Blizz. Little guy gets all the piggy back rides he wants, don't even argue with me. I honestly hope everyone shows up at some point, though (especially the RIs), and not just as a quick cameo. My characters want the comps they had before, dammit. >
  7. Why does it have to be "him"? Male being the default for everything makes about as much sense as a flying monkey. If the person played a female sith warrior, they're likely to use "her". All my warriors are female, so I do the same. I swear, guys (ib4 "not all guys") are always quick to pick at even the slightest implication that someone sees a character as female by default and not Yet Another Dude. How dare they think differently! (not angry, just mindly amused, if anything) On topic : (kind of just skimmed the topic, buuut) It has been disappointing for me that the Wrath has basically been an errand girl. She's not blind to this, either. However, she (and I mean mine, since not everyone plays this way) realizes all of the things she's done were pretty much necessary for the benefit of the Empire (also, it's an MMO). She's, like Marr, can actually be reasonable, tends to put the Empire first before herself, and is willing to just grit her teeth and bear it... means her foes end up in a lot more pieces as a result, is all.... rage incarnate and all that. Of course, all of this gets thrown straight out the window with KotFE since Zakuul takes advantage of a weakened Empire and Republic. Meh. As to for the Dark Council... the SW is one of the most powerful sith alive (could curb stomp Imperius, look at the class stories. Why was this even debated?), and all the npcs who aren't stupid/suicidal are aware of this - she could likely kill each of the council members without too much difficulty. The Emperor would never acknowledge someone who wasn't capable of killing other powerful sith as his Wrath. Contrary to what some insist on pushing (I mean, do you pay attention at all?), the SW isn't a mindless brute, and I can see her being cunning enough (FFS, her master was BARAS, known for his myriad plots! She must have learned something) of engineering their downfall if need be (say, if they tried plotting to take her out somehow). If a light-leaning SW, you have plenty of willing allies as well. Combine all that with a powerful apprentice who can sense anyone's true intentions? Come on. Not to mention all the crap she's pulled off, and reality tends to get even more exaggerated in the telling. Stories of everything the Wrath has done spreads, and npcs practically pee themselves when they realize who they're talking to, Emperor or no. Imperius doesn't even get that kind of reaction. So no, I don't view her as just some nub the council throws missions at occasionally to keep her out of their hair. She's still of importance (useful, in action and as a symbol/soul of the empire, as Lana says), and the more aware characters, like Marr, know it. ...Gonna be reeeal disappointed if Marr dies in KotFE, incidentally. Him and Vowrawn (scheming bugger cracks me up. The VA is great, too).
  8. Cross-class recruitment is ridiculous to begin with. I'd really rather they didn't do this as it makes no sense (and making the romantic interests romanceable by different classes? what?) but I don't have any say in the matter, so whatever. Retconning sexualities would be just as ludicrous and unrealistic("but it's a game!"). It was silly in DA2, it would be silly here (and yes, I had a Hawke for every RO just to see them). I'm hoping they don't give in to the vocal minority and actually concentrate on SGR with the NEW characters, not alter existing ones. It's like people are okay with secondhand characters instead of ones that were intended that way to begin with. But I've veered into off topic territory and am basically axesual anyway, so apparently I'm not allowed an view on it. I may be axsexual, but my characters aren't. ... Talos better be around, though, is all I'm saying. Who else is my Inquisitor going to nerd it up/ talk about artifacts endlessly with? D:
  9. Probably not, since HK-55 is listed on the KoTFE site, and is very likely a companion. The line they posted imply he's a bodyguard of sorts. Hk-51 probably got trashed or something. : / (Maybe HK-55 was made from parts of 51? Idk) Edit : If you were refering to keeping HK-55 no matter what, then this post is invalid. Whoops.
  10. Yes, yes, I know what many of you are likely thinking : MMO+social anxiety+guild = ?!?!?!?! Fact of the matter is, there are those of us who enjoy MMOs for various reasons yet have difficulty queuing for a FP/pvp (or even just typing something in chat without mulling it over and erasing it repeatedly first) and not get extremely antsy about it. I'm one of those people, and I'm curious if, despite my search attempts showing nothing, whether or not any such gulids exist in SWTOR. I've heard of a few in WoW which I've played on and off for years, but that really doesn't do me (or others) any good. I'd like to see some OP content and do more FPs with like-minded people but, again, SA makes that kinda difficult since those who don't have SA don't really understand what it's like. Hell, typing this up was taxing in and of itself. I'm also aware this post will likely be ignored/flamed, but I'm pushing 30 and, while not "old", I have no patience for BS or drama. SA doesn't prevent me from snarking back. Come at me, bro. TL;DR : I like doing FPs and PVP and would like to see some OPs, but was wondering if there were any guilds specifically for people with social anxiety in mind, or if anyone might be interested in making one.* *Not with me as GM because it would likely crash and burn as I have no experience with such things.... also, partially the SA talking. ALSO also, while I'm not LGBT (I lean asexual, if anything), I have no tolerance for those who won't allow them the simple dignity of living as they wish, so if you don't care for that, I'm not interested.
  11. Well, that was irritating. I had to login and out repeatedly (thanks to the person who mentioned this), then run around like a headless chicken until the monolith appeared, then login and out again a few more times to finally finish this quest. Also had the "this not ur instanc lol" red text spam itself obnoxiously at the top of the screen, taunting me while other players popped in and out of existence in my/their/monkeys' phase. How did this quest even break? It was perfectly fine the first time I did it on my warrior.
  12. Not sure if srs. I'm genuinely curious : are you serious, or being deliberately contrary? 'Cause to me, Ralon looks pretty decent. Yes, the world won't end if they don't alter male togruta, but if you're going to be running around as a certain character for 60+ levels (come KOTFE) you want to look decent at the very least.
  13. Yeeeeeah... I was a little confused when I first saw the males and was wondering why they didn't look like that NPC. Maybe they'll address that after they realize how silly their final decision was?
  14. Resubbed a bit before the announcement after a long absence. I plan on staying subbed for KotFE, but all this talk about the companions has me a bit worried, honestly. New characters are great and all (Lana Beniko as a comp. 'bout time, but WRU Theron? No, seriously) however I really dislike the idea that most of our old comps could very well be offed for no reason other than "lol story, darker and edgier". Would fit the desperate, hopeless feel of the xpac, but also feels like a bit of a cop-out? Like some of them are just being thrown under a bus? Whether our former companions live or die should be up to the player, as far as I'm concerned, since they're throwing around that "choice" word again (when devs say that it's usually not entirely true...). Since you can come to an understanding (of sorts, depending, and future events supposedly acknowledge past choices) with all of your companions it really wouldn't make sense for them for just up and turn on you, possibly forcing you to kill them. I tell you what, though, it kinda of ticks me off that my chars will be running around now (likely for good) without their spouses/friends/students/allies. Again, fits the story, but eeeeeh... I'd really rather see all of them alive. I'm one of the people who likes Quinn and understands the reasoning behind his choice, for example. I'm rambling, but bottom line is I'm taking a wait and see approach.
  15. I have chronic altitis myself, but I... don't really agree with this. It's actually fun for me, personally, even leveling the same class again... whereas in WoW (and other games) grinding out another of the same class became a chore for me. Really not sure why. Maybe it's just the sci-fi setting that is Star Wars, and not Yet Another Human, Orcs & Elves game... and I played WoW (and other such games) for years. There's also the business side of it - why should they lessen the time you spend playing, therefore generate less money via subs/the carel market? If all you had to do was buy a few coins for one pack to bump your guy all the way to 50 (or in increments of 10, or however it might work), what guarantee would they have that you'd continue playing for even one more month? That you wouldn't grow bored even more quickly than you might otherwise, and just quit? They are first and foremost a business, as irritating as that may seem, and it just wouldn't be feasible IMO.
  16. There have been topics about this already but they're always quickly buried by other topics with far less useful, important suggestions... like chat bubbles. Seriously, enough about the chat bubbles! But yes, I support this x 1,000,000.
  17. Oh, brother. I can't speak for the other posters, but I don't refer to simple "bad words", I'm talking about the complete disregard for any semblance of decency what-so-ever. You mention barrens chat from WoW. I played since vanilla and virtually all my characters were horde (9 out of 10 slots were horde toons on nearly all the servers I played on, before I quit in Cata) so I was in the barrens quite a bit, questing or farming mats. I've seen the worst it had to offer, and on numerous occasions SWTOR has topped that. I can't repeat what was said here on the forums for hopefully obvious reasons, but the crap that often goes on is waaaay past a few Eff Yous and such... and this is from someone who has been known to cuss like a sailor when especially irritated with something, but only in close company. So no, it's not a matter of people being too thin skinned or what have you, it's the community devolving into a mass of ******s. : P TheNahash : I've seen plenty of that too, unfortunately. As others have mentioned, when people have the option of being a jerk with no consequences, they'll do so.
  18. Yeah, that too, forgot to mention that. Ties in with the whole ignore account thing though. And If I ignore someone Pub side, I don't want to have to deal with their alts Imp side.
  19. Knew there was at least one of these somewhere... Bumping so I don't have to make another topic. This is something most definitely needed... not just in regards to the BUY CREDITS NOWNOWNOWNOW spam, either. If I put someone on ignore at all, it's for a reason, and I don't want to end up in a group/WZ/etc with this person on one of their alts. Also, perhaps a question with an obvious answer - does ignore prevent us from getting in-game mails from the same person? Because I've received advertizements for credit sellers on my characters, reported them as spam and then put the name on ignore. Not sure if that prevented further mails or they just didn't bother sending another one. EDIT : Duuuur, don't know why I didn't just test it before now. Brain failure. Anyway, just tried with my own characters, putting someone on ignore does not prevent the sending of mail. You don't see the mail in your box, but the icon that you've been sent something shows up.
  20. CoH/CoV (R.I.P ) did this, and it was awesome. You were scaled down to the level of your sidekick/lackey (respectively) and your powers, etc scaled appropriately. Fully support this! EDIT : Forgot to mention the reverse. Say your buddy wanted to do a higher level quest with you, instead of you doing a lower level quest with them. Well, so long as their character was in range of yours, they were scaled up with you (same as the above, but again, in reverse) and when you unlackeyed/unmentored/whatever, you'd both return to your proper levels, powers etc intact. It was a really nice feature that was rarely seen elsewhere.
  21. Really must disagree with those throwing all the the blame - or most of it - on F2P. The verbal diarrhea erupting from general chat (again most prevalent on Dromuund Kaas, as previously mentioned) was happening long before F2P. Maybe you weren't on the same hours I was (even though this often happens at prime time...), but the complete, utter garbage people get away with saying is ridiculous. There's a reason I don't even bother with FPs, OPs or hell, grouping period... I don't want to end up with the alt of some jerk I already have on ignore. And yes, depressing as it is, when anonymity is on the table, people will often choose to be the worst example humanity has to offer. You can say "it's a game" all you want, but facts are facts - there are real people on the other side of that monitor, and if you act like that in-game... that just speaks volumes, and I sure as heck don't want to deal with you in real life. P.S. WTB account wide ignore, PSW! EDIT : It's hardly fair to say it's the "kiddies" (20 and under) who are responsible, too. They add to it, but they aren't the core of the problem. I've encountered plenty of aged 30+ people in gaming over the years (yes, in SWTOR too) who make me ashamed to be of the same species. : P
  22. The first post clearly says everywhere SWtOR is available, so yes. I really, really hope this goes well... Seems a bit too early to be releasing it to me, to be honest, but that's not my decision. I just hope F2P goes live with as few problems as possible, otherwise you'll get the wah wah whiners (you know, the ones ranting and raving about getting such-and-such out ""NOW NOW NOW WHY ISN'T IT OUT NOW YOU STINK" etc.) who will then complain about bugs, how it was released too early ("BUT WE WANTED IT NOW OMG"), and so on. I won't even bother mentioning all the MMOs that didn't have nearly as many free content patches in their first year...
  23. Er... Maybe it's the lack of sleep and I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds like you're saying moderate grade 6 metal missions don't give Mandolorian Iron when they crit. They can, and do, as I've I had my comps crit on the moderate missions multiple times and received some. Not as much as I would from A Volatile Gift, the abundant grade 6 metal mission, but moderate most definitely can return Mando iron.
