Tanks, huh? I agree... to an extent. In virtually every online game I've played, I've either been a healer/class that can soak up damage to buy others time to do whatever they need to do because, frankly, I enjoy doing so. I'm by no means the best, and have had plenty of "dur dur duuuur" moments, but I do what I can. Too many times, however, I don't see the same consideration from others. A number of times in a WZ when I've had most healing done or second most, or what have you, 1/3 of that has been me healing myself because others couldn't be bothered trying to cc/peel (or they break my own whirlwind/etc I just used to try to give myself some breathing room) DPS off the person who has been keeping them up most of the fight, so I usually die quite often because the opposing team actively works to keep me from doing my job. ...And oh, would you look at that? So-and-so and what's-his-face just died, wonder why? Incidentally, I can count the number of times someone has thrown guard on me on one hand. Literally, one. hand. I've usually seen it go to a DPS. Maybe I've just had poor luck? Is there a point to my mini rant? Well, here's the thing - I don't vote for mindless guard bots. If someone bothers to stick guard on me at all, they never taunt, never cc, run out of LoS (mid Innervate! Come on!) and often plain run out of range of me for whatever reason while I'm playing catch up (often happens with ball carriers, btw... Hope you won't need healing!) so the guard has no effect. Alright, I shouldn't say never - I once has a Powertech and a Jug in separate WZs actually do more than guard bot, and you better believe I healed their butts off! TL;DR : That 49 who stuck guard on and did nothing else? No vote from me. That lvl 20 who stuck guard on, taunted, all that good stuff? I'd vote 50 times if I could.
