  1. What people need to realize about the amount of credits he says he's making..it's probably true, but then he didn't say profit..he said that's how much they bring in. Actual profit after costs could be half that. Besides that, he is clearly a full-time crafter. By that I mean that crafting in this game is either his second "job" irl or possibly his first..there are a lot of people out there that do nothing but play video games all day. If you're not willing to dedicate that kind of time then you aren't going to make that kind of cash selling low-level items. And, really, unless you enjoy it why would you want to spend several hours a day crafting? Credits should not be your motivation.
  2. It wouldn't be so bad if they added a little more time to how long you can sell things. Maybe 4 days instead of 2. Two is just so ridiculously short..especially if you craft lower level stuff and try and keep a large variety of things for sale to keep all profs happy.
  3. Lol, romance in gifting virtual items in a video game..who would have thunk it 20 years ago? So adorable.
  4. Why are you wasting your time sending anyone out on that "defenseless" mission...I don't even know what it is because I would never think of using anything but Unsliceable/Watching and to be honest I almost never use watching...it's not really worth it either. Every patch someone gets a run of bad luck and thinks the crit chance is broken..same as people used to do with RE when it was a lower chance. Human nature I guess.
  5. They're drops in some sort of Ops (no clue which) and they're bind on pickup as far as I've always known. You RE those and you get a chance of learning that schematic. You could also RE ones crafted by someone that learned it the previously mentioned way as far as I'm aware but that would be quite expensive.
  6. If it was just selling/buying stuff on the gtn I can see that not having a big effect on the market or a big disadvantage for anybody. For sending missions/crafting however this would be a HUGE advantage and would also plummet the prices of mats and crafted items. A lot of people have a dozen or so toons with let's say at the low end of the spectrum an average of 3 comps each - if you sent these out at least once an hour on missions, that can add like 2300 units of "premium" grade 9 resources to your coffer every day while you're "working". That doesn't even factor in other time when you're not working but aren't at home playing the game. If you think this wouldn't negatively impact the market and give people a great advantage over other people..well, you're being rather short-sighted imho. Lastly I would say.. we all need a break from video games, otherwise it might seem a bit like an addiction, no?
  7. Since they've been like that since day 1 (and presumably in Beta as well), I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to fix it.
  8. Thanks! That's super helpful, I always just find myself guessing.
  9. You must be talking only about end-game crafting. For those of us that craft for the other 54 levels, I don't think anything has really changed, has it? I guess this is where that saying "don't put all your eggs in one basket" comes in.
  10. It's all of the professions. Grade 6 used to be the highest and the rule was that the highest didn't get rich/bountiful. Once Grade 9 resources came in they didn't bother changing it. If you're looking for purples you can definitely get them from abundant, I'm not sure about the moderate as I don't like to run those.
  11. It's been requested many times before... I'm not a big fan but I'm sure I'm the minority. I think it makes things in the game very uneven. If i'm poor and can not afford a smart phone, I'm at a severe disadvantage. If I have a job where I don't get to sit around on my butt all day playing on my phone, I'm at a severe disadvantage. Obviously if I have no job then I have the advantage of being able to sit at home and play video games but..on the flip side I'm now a loser that plays video games all day, so I think it kind of evens out. Now, personally, I have a smart phone and could send out missions constantly.. I just think that there's enough disparity in classes in the world, do we really need to add another one into an imaginary world? Anyhow, you also have to realize that all this would do is drive the price of resources into the ground. Which would also make people less willing to pay a "decent" amount for crafted items. So, economy-wise, it's not the solution you think it is.
  12. No, sorry, nobody runs hundreds of Rich/Bountiful missions and only gets one crit. Hasn't. Ever. Happened.
  13. It really, really depends on your server. But, ignoring that.. Low-level blue implants can be a decent source of money if you don't try to sell them for too much. Selling diplomacy blue materials for Grade 2 & 3 can also be a fairly decent profit. Selling certain low-grade Bioanalysis resources as well - Genetic Anomaly, Hallucinogenic Compound, Unknown Microorganism, Bio-Energy cell sample are all in fairly high demand if people are making lower level implants.
  14. Here's the problem with diplomacy missions.. Last year sometime, I think in the first half of the year, somebody complained about the missions not being "appropriate" for either the republic or imperial side. So, instead of balancing the missions out they "fixed" it by moving all darkish missions to the imps and all lightish ones to the repub side. What does this mean to you? 1. Grade 2 Diplomacy mat missions need to be run by a republic character to really be productive 2. Grade 3 Diplomacy mat missions need to be run by an imp character to really be productive 3. Grade 4 Diplomacy mat missions need to be run by a republic character to really be productive Grade1, 5, 6 & 9 I believe are okay for both sides to run, but I don't run these as much so I'm not positive.
  15. Unfortunately so few people run the lowest level slicing mats missions that those schematics are difficult to find. If you have a slicer I'd suggest spending some time running them yourself, eventually they'll pop but it could take awhile. I check the market on my augment crafters now and then but the holes in augment schematics are hard to fill in. Takes time either way!
  16. Sorry, no, I don't believe they're buying your mats and reselling at half the price - I think you're wrong or lying though I'd assume just wrong. As for selling at substantially lower prices.. I don't know what the actual prices are but I wouldn't be surprised if they're perfectly reasonable prices. What a lot of resource sellers think of as "normal" prices are actually quite atrocious if you expect anyone to be able to craft and sell their items for a profit.
  17. Don't necro really old threads talking about problems that don't exist anymore just to make a dumb pot reference. And then you wonder why people think stoners are idiots...
  18. They would not need to automatically stack, as I can see that would be annoying for those crafting them to sell. However, I think many more people would buy/craft these for leveling if instead of needing half a cargo bay for each level they could turn these into stacks. For example: Level 13, you'd need what 8 armorings, 10 enhancements, 10 augments, 10 mods, a couple of barrels/hilts, and that's just for your toon, not counting your companion if you'd like to deck them out too? That's about 40 items for one level. Make these stackable and I guarantee you a lot more people will utilize these for leveling.
  19. I know everyone is saying augments, but they probably mean level 55 augments. The market is awash in level 55 purple skill/reflex augments and you will find yourself having to constantly relist and lower your price in order to sell them. I'd like to let you know that that are many levels below that - I believe augments start at level 9. Making blue versions of reflex/skill augments and selling them at reasonable prices for leveling will not make you rich overnight but you will find buyers and make credits.
  20. One quick tip - take the stack of gift 1/ gift 2 that you buy from the gift vendor and put it in your toolbar, then level up the affection while watching tv etc.. Now you only need to pay attention with one finger. This will make it much less tedious.
  21. What really, really needs to stack is mods. Being able to gear up your lowbies and have them look cute at the same time is a big part of the fun of a game. Having to dedicate 3-4 cargo bays for 20 levels is not part of the fun. For RE.. I think maybe you should be able to turn on the option, having it be the default could be annoying. It would definitely have to be limited to just greens as you say either way. One last thing.. implants for MK-9? Ouch, that's a lot of wasting of resources. That's absolutely the worst profession you could pick for that.
  22. It's a lame title and nobody should be using it. But, yeah, I'm sure you're supposed to keep it even after your credits go under that amount.
  23. 50 is what the standard number. If you get the increases from cartel market you may have up to 90 (each increases 10).
