  1. Keep in mind that if you play Sorcerer and go Lightning spec then you lightning lightning some lightning to do lightning because lightning. My wife plays that spec and I can barely tell her skills apart.
  2. I don't love the Defender but I definitely like it better than the BH ship (the Mantis I believe). Thing looks like a garbage truck with little wing stubs attached.
  3. I prefer Vengeance with Jaesa. I generally keep her geared with blue mods and she can take out packs of standard and weak enemies on her own, allowing me to focus on the strongs and elites.
  4. I just make it simple. Lightside = Vette, Darkside = Jaesa.
  5. Unfortunately, the two advanced classes that use rifles (Vanguard and Operative) are both primarily melee.
  6. Sorcerer: single-blade Assassin: double-blade (can use single-blade but it isn't viable) Juggernaut: single-blade Marauder: 2 single-blade (can use 1 single-blade but it isn't viable)
  7. Blizz doesn't have any quests other than the "conversation" quests. I believe the only actual companion quests are for your first companion, no matter which class you play.
  8. I hate the new stance. My character is a professional bounty hunter, not some idiot from da hood.
  9. Check the "Weapons" vendor on each planet. Most of the planets now have green moddable techblades/techstaves/vibroswords.
  10. I recommend leveling as Rage. Rage focuses on burst and AoE, which is great for leveling because most combat while leveling involves short fights against trash mobs. Vengeance on the other hand focuses on single target sustained damage, which is better for boss fights (flashpoints and operations).
  11. I believe the TC was asking about a solo leveling build (using "Ops" to mean Operative, not Operations). I would suggest enough points into Medicine to get Kolto Probe and then start putting points into Concealment.
  12. Thanks everyone! This will be my first 50 so I didn't know how hard/easy the dailies were. I know some dailies in other games (like Limlight Gorge in Lotro) are actually pretty difficult.
  13. Hi everyone, My powertech is 48 and approaching the time to do dailies. I know the Recruit MK2 gear is for entry pvp, but is it good enough for PvE dailies? Just solo ones, not group. I don't plan on doing endgame PvE on him yet (working on my other alts first) and I hear you can get this gear for free, so I wouldn't mind using it for a while if it's doable.
  14. That's actually the exact route I took with my powertech, though I didn't pvp.
  15. Tactics/Advanced Prototype really isn't viable until you get Fire Pulse/Immolate, which you can't get until 40. Until then I would go Assault/Pyrotech.
  16. I haven't seen the Rotary Cannon, but you can get the Battle Assault Cannon for Balmorra commendations. It has the same model and is moddable. http://www.torhead.com/item/cLk0POj/battle-assault-cannon#videos;view:1865
  17. Does anyone know if there is a moddable version of this rifle model that is obtainable by a vanguard? http://www.torhead.com/item/5jjlVQa/assault-carbine# http://www.torhead.com/item/eZihL35/assault-rifle# I don't really care about the color, just the model. I really like the model; not too long or too short, has a stock, no huge scope. I can't seem to find one that is moddable though.
  18. Shieldtech: + you pretty much never die + you can solo Heroic 2+ with Mako - it takes forever to kill anything Pyrotech: + you kill much faster - you take more damage - most likely can't solo Heroic 2+ Advanced Prototype: - don't try this until level 40+ (you really need Immolate to be viable) This is how I leveled: Shieldtech from 10 to 22 Pyrotech from 22 to 40 Advanced Prototype from 40 on I personally hate tanking, which is why I spent most of my time as the dps specs. I used shieldtech early on though because during the early levels you don't have enough skills or talent points to make the other specs viable. Also, you're probably scrounging for gear at this point so the extra protection from shield is nice. I prefer AP to pyro so I switched to it as soon as I was 40. You really need to be 40 in order to use AP though because 40 is when you can get immolate, which is one of your best abilities and is needed to solidify the AP priority (without immolate it's extremely clunky/weird).
  19. What spec are you? Are you in melee range? (you should be)
  20. Personally I don't really care for lightning (that's why I have no interest in playing an inquisitor) so I'd rather not have it on my warrior.
  21. I've heard this is true for almost all of the classes. Male characters get a lot more flirt options.
  22. No thanks, I like how it is now because it seems fierce. In fact I'm glad the warrior doesn't use any lightning.
