  1. Hello again everyone. With 2.0 being on its 5th week, giving all the top raiders mostly 72 gear and familiarity with their new specs, it's now time to start beating up the dummy the best you can. Since there is a huge gear disparity between guys who are clearing NIM content and those less fortunate, I request that for a while you submit your parses with a quick summary of your gear level. Especially if you have a 75 main hand. Rules ~At least a 5 minute parse. ~Must be either on a ship Operations Dummy or the Operations dummie from the fleet. MUST BE LEVEL 55 DUMMY. ~State what your spec is. ~You can use all 4 class buffs, adrenals, and stims. ~Cannnot however use external buffs ex. (inspiration from another source other than yours, armor debuff from another source, Nightmare Pilgrim buff) ~No Heroic Moment abilities at all. ~Link from TORparse (you may trim the time in the parse to see where you did the most, just make sure it's at least 5 minutes). Note: you can trim a parse by selecting a start and stop time in the "By time" drop down tabs under the listing of all your fights on torparse. You can trim both beginning and end ramp ups/downs. I will not trim fights for you, I will click on the provided link and take the number shown there. Some parses below will go up a bit if trimmed. ~Last but not least, have fun! Parse Validity: The previous thread had a few issues with doctored parses, and a heated discussion on how to combat that. I highly encourage people to look through and validate parses in their class. If a doctored or otherwise faked parse is found, the person submitting the parse is blacklisted from this thread, meaning any parses they have on the leaderboard are pulled and I will no longer accept submissions from them. Parses done before Patch 2.1.1 on May 30th: Patch 2.1.1 removed the ability to gain more than 1 Serendipitous Assault relic proc within the stated 20 second lockout window. The patch also removed the ability to stack two of the same 2 piece set bonuses. Both of these could result in an additional 100-200 DPS increase depending on the spec. Parses that were submitted before the patch date have been searched through for either exploit and marked accordingly. I ask that players with a marked parse request its removal in favor of a parse done after patch 2.1.1. Any parse submitted May 30th or afterwards using either exploit will not be included on the boards, and I will receive their only warning about using those exploits before I blacklist them from this thread. Top 5 per each DPS class will make the list! 2. Please point to where I said I always refresh Dark Ward on CD. What I said was that you could refresh it on CD, and still get more survivability out of it than the pre-2.0 version. What I do with Dark Ward is to wait until the last stack of it has fallen off, whether that's from the stacks ticking from 1 to 0, or from the time out on them. Seems simple enough, don't refresh Dark Ward while you still have stacks of it. I'll check out your Maul vs Thrash post, didn't know that had been worked out. I will say though, I play to maximize survivability so I'm not too concerned with DPS or TPS after my opening 15-20 seconds. Back to the OP, all 3 tank classes are easy enough to learn. Just with Assassins you must remember to heal yourself and hit Dark Ward, and to never tell a diehard Sin tank that what they do is anything less than impossibly hard.
  3. I don't like using front Maul in rotation, Thrash gives twice the chance to proc and Energized Shock. It's useful when you're trying to throw up a lot of damage on that given GCD, but otherwise the increased chance to proc Shock wins out. Dark Ward now costs no force, and gives you more stacks across its cooldown time. Sure, Dark Bulwark is interesting, but if you still have Dark Ward stacks up when the ability comes off cooldown you only have about a 5 second window to maximize Dark Bulwark uptime before you must refresh Dark Ward. Or, you can refresh Dark Ward on its 15 second cooldown and gain more survivability from it than you could pre 2.0.
  4. Removing Saber Strike from the Sin rotation is not simplifying? And adding the Flame Thrower proc to PTs, the changes in Heat Blast, as well as the cooldown upgrades with Kolto Overload and Hydraulic Overrides did add complexity to the PT. Not much, but considering pre 2.0 the class' rotation was Rocket Punch and Flame Burst...
  5. I have all three tank classes in full 69s or better (Jugg is main). Once you play that much tanking, all 3 of them seem easy. Still, PT is easiest in terms of active mitigation and buffs you have to keep up, Jugg is easiest for always having a CD up, and Sin is easiest for having your rotation take the least buttons and never having to auto-attack. Pre 2.0 this discussion would have been ended at the first mention of Powertechs, but they gained some levels of complexity while Juggs and Sins were simplified a bit.
  6. Wait a minute.... didn't all of Squirtle Squad just unsub with Opfotm? I'm worth at least 1 subscriber.
  7. This is what happens when you can clear all the content in the game the first week it's out, severely undergeared.
  8. Indeed it is, disappointingly so. I will be very bored if NiM TFB doesn't drop with 2.1 within the next month.
  9. After wiping 7 times yesterday, with two different groups, on the last boss of TFB because the DPS thought they only had to kill 1 anomaly on the second phase I have given up on queing for SM ops. Everyone who's played the game in the last month knows how to do TFB through the second boss, but it's surprising now to see how few players have even pulled the last boss. Couple that with the fact that you have the weekly for killing Thrasher/Operator, and the group finder reward for clearing the instance. So unless it's Monday night, getting locked to the last boss makes it very difficult to find a group to complete the op.
  10. Just popping Saber Reflect alone gives me 8.5k threat (logged number) on every mob within 30m of me. Healers would have to heal well over 17k to pull off you. Also, never lead with an AOE taunt, you need to gain some threat for taunt to multiply against.
  11. Don't forget our unlicensed abortion clinics and elementary school drug sales.
  12. From Atriss, GM of APEX: "We rescind our HM Styrak kill from this week as it was not a full APEX clear." Atriss was working the night of the kill and just learned it was not full APEX, and he does not approve of this slight. From myself: Grow a pair Caedes. This is baby **** progression based on fast leveling and preorder access. We'll see you in NiM TFB when all guilds have access to the op on the same day, and where hopefully the operation can't be cleared in gear 2 tiers below the recommended level.
  13. And dangerous. Third go in TFB since 2.0 and I realized Saber Reflecting the first scream coming at me is a bad idea. From my logs: 13:58:42.809 Gorthog activates Saber Reflect. 13:58:42.809 Gorthog gains Saber Reflect. 13:58:42.811 Gorthog's Saber Reflect causes 8592 threat gain on The Terror From Beyond. ... 13:58:44.024 Gorthog's Saber Reflect hits The Terror From Beyond for 3478 elemental damage, causing 6956 threat. (reflected) So I generated 15548 threat by reflecting the scream, and immediately ripped of the tank who just taunted.
  14. APEX cleared HM TFB at 7:54 PDT. Kephess Terror
  15. APEX gave this a try as we're still waiting for some A team members to level. We sort of got the mechanics down, and when we wiped MOX said the fight had gone on for over 7 minutes. But.... we didn't even get him down past 70%. Either 4 melee DPS is a bad idea, or the adds that come out are a big DPS check.
  16. That's pretty much what I wanted to hear. Good to know at least some tanks are getting the drops.
  17. Just asking how other people's luck has been. I've tanked over 15 of the new level 55 HM flashpoints since 2.0 dropped, and have had over 30 chances for Arkanian/Black Market gear to drop off the bonus boss and last boss. Yet, I've only seen one tank piece drop. Every other drop is for DPS (mostly Marauder, but I run with lots of Marauders). Has anyone else been getting better luck with tank gear drops in the level 55 flashpoints? I recognize that I could just be on an unlucky streak, but the lack of drops is pushing me away from queing multiple times a day (and you know how DPS always complain about que times because of the lack of tanks).
  18. I Saber Reflected one of the turrets near the end of KP HM for 37k damage. Gotta love how our best offensive ability is now a defensive cooldown.
  19. Adding Vancouver Canucks penalty bench troll to your resume?
  20. And the thread is now closed to new submissions. Congrats to the guys who posted the highest pre-2.0 parses for their class. I intend to wait a while before starting a new thread so that gear and level play less of an influence on the high parses. Please feel free to continue using this thread to discuss your parses for 2.0 though.
  21. I wasn't able to get my marauder re-roll, Theynerfdmypyro, to 50 during double XP weekend.
  22. That is exactly what will happen (mentioned a few pages prior). Last call for 1.x parses all, get them in and time stamped before 2.0 goes live this Tuesday.
  23. Updated all the above except the last parse by Toester, who's link is broken. Also, Carl, your Pyrotec parse didn't include start and stop times so the best I could find was 2130 DPS. The link for Wales' parse was actually broken back when I restarted this thread. It's something on torparses end I think, I don't delete any of my combat logs but came back one day to find my 2148 link broken and my NiM EC title run also gone. I was able to remember when I parsed the 2148 though (and I've been sitting on a 2149 on the off chance someone barely beats mine...). Carl, both the dummy and ops bosses right now have a 10% defense chance. While you may think that 100% melee/ranged accuracy would cause all your melee/ranged attacks to miss 10% of the time, the reality is that only your auto attack (assault, rapid shots, etc.) follows that melee/ranged accuracy. Rail Shot, even though its damage registers as ranged, will follow your ~110% tech accuracy. Same with Maul, Ravage, whatever. I run 100.2% accuracy on my Powertech and don't have a single miss on Rail Shot in all of my logs. I do however, have a range of about 15-5% misses on Rapid Shot, but that's just statistical variation around the actual 10% mark.
  24. Asked and answered: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=615389 Next question, who else do you see queing up for 5 straight ranked against the SquirtleAscendancTauntauns?
