  1. Right? They're treated like a promising beginner in the start of the class story too so I would think of them as being pretty young themselves. It's the male BH voice that sounds like a grizzled veteran that throws thing off lol.
  2. There is a minefield of "kid" dialogues to try and avoid when romancing Torian though. I've definitely had to esc out of more than a few cutscenes because my character is calling the person she's hitting on a "kid."
  3. Same. Even new faces in the CC would be something exciting but mixing and matching combat styles? I don't see a point to it when I already have so many characters with every style.
  4. It's always good to play every class as both genders, both alignments, and both human and non human to see what details are different IMO but then again I am an alt addict >.> A female BH can marry the Barron's son on Alderaan though.
  5. That's the problem...Prior to that, Lana and Theron were equals with equal roles, romances, and screen time. After that it became the Lana Variety Hour guest starring Theron. You mentioned that you didn't think the quest giver/briefing scenes were important enough to get upset over Lana completely dominating but I disagree. For one, if you hate and resent her, every second her face is shoved onto the screen is annoying but for another, she does briefings and introductions that make zero sense for her to be doing. She even hooks your Republic characters up with Jonas who is a Republic SIS representative that both you (if you're a trooper) and Theron know very well. This makes no sense at all and is done only to give her more screen time. If Theron isn't going to speak up when it's relevant for him to do so, at least have it be some other relevant character (Bey'wan for example) rather than always Lana. That's one of the main reasons I hate her so much. Yes-woman/perfectly agreeable waifu/creepy Stepford wife is not something I enjoy in the slightest.
  6. That would be cool. I knew the expansion was delayed but I didn't realize it was delayed by two months.
  7. TBH the whole thing makes me wonder if we'll actually get to faction swap within the story or if we'll be betrayed and have to go crawling back to our original faction whether we want to or not and they will of course mindlessly take us back. Getting the runaround from Jonas on my LS Imperial characters about defecting gives me the impression that we're being used and not actually trusted or considered for a defector and will just be tossed aside when no longer useful.
  8. Plus our character is more of a one-person army/killing machine than some subtle spy (even the agent at this point) so IMO they'd be doing a lot more good for their new faction if they worked openly for them. They'd be able to go full force trying to eliminate key players, break enemy lines, etc...they WOULDN'T be complicit in or responsible for capturing or killing their own allies, their defection would be a huge boost to their new side's morale and a huge hit to their old side's morale, etc...How much good have we done sneaking around that we couldn't have done openly and with a more positive outcome?
  9. So far Theron has been cool with my LS Imperial loyalist SW. I agree with what the others have said, the saboteur option makes you look like an incompetent buffoon/obviously betraying your faction and the faction are a bunch of incompetent buffoons. It's frustrating. So far the loyalist story is much better and makes more sense despite how much I want my SI and IA to defect to the Republic
  10. "People don’t actually realize it’s actually a soap opera and it’s all about family problems — it’s not about spaceships" -George Lucas (I'm just teasing you, you can like whatever you want about Star Wars)
  11. I would really love the option to turn it off and on. It's great to be able to do quests we've outleveled but still get proportional XP for them, but sometimes you just want to go back to an early planet and not have to worry about weak trash mobs knocking you off your speeder or wasting your time. I miss that from the early days.
  12. BioWare giving out kill options like candy during that period was one of their biggest mistakes IMO. Apparently they can't handle the scenarios they've created where a character is dead for one player and alive for another so most of the characters given a death option just disappeared from the story entirely for everyone with a few of them appearing here and there but being conspicuously absent or silent most of the time. I'm definitely sad that Jace (and Acina, I liked her) was given one of these chump deaths and we'll probably never hear from him again. The most we can hope for is a silent background cameo. The fact that we also got zero dialogue with him about our potential romance with his son (especially if we're imperial characters) is such a missed opportunity. We don't even get a letter about it.
  13. Agreed, that's a very strange assessment lol
  14. Same here. I actually liked Lana at first but the more time that went on and the more she was favored, hogged all the companion spotlight, forced on us, acts as if she's our love interest or BFF regardless of how WE feel about it the more I resented her. At this point I would sacrifice all of my 100% LS characters alignment and personality to be able to stab her in the eye and throw her off a cliff the next time we wake up to her face looming over us as we sleep. I believe we all know that if any character would get an actual marriage ceremony it would be Lana and likely only her. As for the actual topic of the OP, I really wish that we could get more scenes like that as well. I feel like way too often random NPCs are given the spotlight while we just stand there like an idiot. The Spirit of Vengeance flashpoint annoyed me that way, 1) We had to take a back seat to this random grunt who just appeared while he does everything and makes all the decisions and 2) It decided to make our character a horrible pilot and our character and only our character is apparently famous for just crashing shuttles all over the place and being incompetent (I haven't tried it on a Smuggler yet, but despite the Smuggler being a famously great pilot, I doubt the scene and email will be any different). It feels like most of the more "recent" content has been like that to some degree, we're demoted back to chump errand boy who is bossed around by everyone, respected by few, never comes up with any ideas or solutions and has to be spoken to like a child, etc...while NPCs take the spotlight, come up with all the solutions, and are the competent ones.
  15. ^This. Lana is even our contact/liason to the SIS despite Theron actually having BEEN in the SIS and knowing Jonas Balker personally, it's Lana who introduces us. Not to mention that Theron has a kill option so if you don't want him "in your face" you can get rid of him permanently. We have no such option with Lana.
  16. Yeah honestly when it comes to the jedi/romance thing, I basically think things have been so fundamentally shaken up and damaged that the old ways aren't necessarily going to apply anymore (like with Luke Skywalker basically rebuilding the jedi order without the same rules as the previous jedi). If nothing else, even if the few remaining high ranking jedi forming a new council are old school hardliners that would have a problem with your romance and marriage, I think they'd keep their mouths shut in order to have the most powerful ally possible during a time of extreme turmoil and war.
  17. Personally I don't do any of that stuff and never have in the 10 years this game has been around. Give me new story and companion content and I will keep coming back.
  18. The other companions are dead AI robots because that's what the devs decided to do with them, and Lana getting so much time and attention means it's unlikely to change much if at all for the other companions. They could choose to focus on a different companion every time, giving each some screen time but nope. When it comes to Lana I would rather never see or hear from her again then to have her take up the majority of companion screentime/interaction and I'm certainly sick to death of her acting like she's our love interest or at least our BFF regardless of how we feel. Look, I don't have anything against you or Lana's other fans but try to see things from our perspective. Imagine a male character that you hate being always thrust into the spotlight, taking up the majority of companion screen time, being included even when it makes no sense and/or a different companion would make much more sense, acting like he's your lover despite never choosing any such option, creepily watching you sleep several times with you waking up to his face looming over you, companions you loved including your character's love interest being given kill options and then being basically cut from the story for everyone regardless of your choice and yet the one dude that's clearly the writer's pet is immune from all of this and never gets any kind of dismissal option, etc...Even if you didn't care one way or another at first, you'd likely start resenting him after a while.
  19. I like it personally, and having a long storyline where we had to start fresh and isolated would solve the bloated companion issue at least temporarily by giving all of the players the same team of new companions that could be given the kind of care and attention the ones from the vanilla class stories were originally. It would also mean an extended break from Lana which would be a breath of fresh air.
  20. Honestly I get a kick out of showing up DS/questioning jedi as an extremely LS sith
  21. Wait really? Imperius is the LS title, the boosted SI is assumed to be LS? I thought they were all assumed based on stereotype (all republic LS, all empire DS)
  22. Yes, if nothing else at the very least if all we're ever going to get is Lana content to only have to pay one VA or whatever, at least give us some ALTERNATE Lana content where we can have a negative relationship with her, just forced together by circumstance or whatever.
  23. Hm, lets see...based on previous experience she usually creepily watches us sleep near the end of a chapter so my money is on 87% of the way through we wake up to her face again -_- As for how often she stares at us like a cross between a love struck puppy and a Stepford wife...that depends on how much action vs downtime there is. She may end up "heroically" throwing herself in front of us again. I liked Lana at first but the more she's literally shoved in our face, the more she takes up all the screen time while previous companions get scraps to none, the more she's treated like she's our lover by default or at least our bestest friend ever despite our character's actions or how the player feels about it, the more I hate and resent her. If we could get a "Virmire" option for her I'd take it in a heartbeat. I'd even save Skadge or Doc over her at this point.
  24. Lana inviting herself along sure would be the perfect opportunity to have her “heroically sacrifice” herself (since the devs were horrified when asked for a kill Lana option and exclaimed that she hadn’t done anything to deserve it but apparently Jorgan, Kaliyo, Vette, Torian, and Theron had...) or a “Virmire” style choice where we have to choose between saving Lana or saving literally anyone or anything else (I will save a giant space slug over her). Sadly as we all know that will never happen and she’ll always be the writer’s pet, always watching us sleep and acting like a Stepford wife.
