  1. That holds no appeal to me, I play the class stories (and this game as a whole) for the story content. I hate MMO combat in general and think it's boring so swapping one endlessly spammed rotation for another is not exciting.
  2. Lana due to her creepy, Stepford wife behavior and the sheer amount she's forced on us. If we had a "Virmire" situation (like they forced on us with Vette and Torian, two characters I ACTUALLY like) where we had to choose to save either Lana or literally any other character or NPC in the game I would choose not Lana.
  3. Doesn't Jace say that about any character that sides with the Empire on Iokath? I didn't think it was a romance specific thing. The dialogue with Theron where he's pointing a gun at Jace and you can say "don't do it, I couldn't live with myself" or something similar and Theron is like "and I couldn't live without you" though is great, I love it.
  4. Funny they weren't worried about "killing you in your sleep" with Kaliyo, dark Jaessa, or Lana...I guess it's only silly when it's something straight women or gay men want. When it's something hetero guys want it's fine and legit.
  5. NGL I wished more than once for a "make out with Theron in front of one of his parents and make them uncomfortable" option for my imperial agent lmao
  6. I hate this SO much it makes me hate her so much more. It doesn't matter if you spent every previous moment with her insulting her, blatantly telling her you don't trust or like her, disagreeing with everything she says or suggests and even threatening to kill her the next time you meet, when you see her in KotFE she's rescuing you and fawning all over you about how good it is to see you (***?). It's so jarring and makes her seem like a Stepford wife. I hate that our character is forced to trust and confide in her above Theron or any other companion you'd actually WANT to tell. Ugh BioWare should at least give us letters from Theron (and other non-Lana love interests) after each mission, that kind of thing costs almost nothing. Throw us at least that tiny bone if you're going to keep forcing Lana on us and ignoring our actual love interests.
  7. If I was still hanging around the forums back when it was posted, I would have been all over that thread. I completely agree! And we should just quiet down and be satisfied because we'll be able to get rid of Lana if we pick a certain option but they'll never give us that option and she'll never actually leave us. It definitely makes me want to scream. I miss the SoR days when Lana and Theron had equal time and different reactions and dialogue depending on your faction (and Lana actually having a personality beyond "perfect girlfriend" and us having the option to be mean to her and actually tell her what we think of her). In addition to the romance stuff, it doesn't make sense for Theron to be so gung-ho about joining the Empire to beat the Republic (even the PC capturing or killing his old friend) or Lana about joining the Republic. In other news, I really wish we had the option to mention or have another character mention our relationship with Theron at certain relevant moments such as when meeting Jonas who both mentions Theron and tries to flirt with us or when encountering Gnost Dural (especially when confronting him on the Imperial side) or when interacting with Jace Malcom on Iokath, etc...I did like that Satele mentioned it but she uses the same line if we're just friends with him as well. I'm glad we got to answer back to her with a Theron romance specific line and I thought the email about her telling Theron our character was good for him was really cute.
  8. Yeah I think I yelled at the screen when it happened "are you freaking kidding me?!" something along those lines. As you said, it would have made sense for Theron, Kira, Scourge, Arcann or Senya if you brought them, or even Satele and her students but having ALL of the people there with you just leave you unconscious on the floor and like call a third party to come scrape you off the floor because none of them (including your love interest) can be bothered and none of them are concerned that you haven't woken up after that experience. It makes no sense and was just an excuse to shoehorn in more Lana. X_X 0/10 hate it. Scourge: "I waited 300 years for this man and fell in love with him but actually who cares, I'll leave him unconscious on the floor" Theron: "My fiance just risked his life to help me save my mom and didn't wake up afterwards...oh well, I have charts to look at or something" Kira: "My husband has been missing for years and we were finally reunited and defeated the emperor together but I have to go sharpen my lightsaber or something so I'll just abandon him in a vulnerable unconscious state" Arcann: "The one person who showed me mercy and kindness and rid me of my crazed abusive father once and for all, the person I supposedly love and can't lose didn't wake up from the fight. Oh well, time to go do my taxes" and so on. Like look, I get it, you painted yourself into a corner with all your kill options and one-cutscene romance options but you could have had the player character wake up alongside all of their companions that had joined them on the mission and only Satele and her students had left. You wouldn't even have to add any special romance dialogue if you were that strapped for cash, you could have just had one animation of someone looking over your character as they wake up and then helping them up and just swapped who the character was. If the PC's love interest was there then have it be them, if not have it be Kira.
  9. Like I said, the other companions disappear into silent irrelevance. The livestream doesn't prove malicious intent but it does prove that they're scandalized by the idea of killing off Lana and would likely never consider it. I would be overjoyed with a dismiss or part ways option for Lana, I play many light side characters and it wouldn't make sense for them to murder anyone as much as I hate that person. The devs decided that it was a good money making strategy to focus heavily on the straight male's love interest and drag their feet on the other ones (despite women using romance content at a higher rate than men do) and maybe they're right but I hate it and will never stop hating it or their pet. I would also love to see Theron have more interaction with Satele and Jace(who we will likely never see again since he had a kill option also). So far it's been such brief and formal encounters :/
  10. That's crazy and I don't know if they altered it on purpose or not but I've noticed some dialogue options that were available years ago I have not been able to find or access anymore despite esc-ing and trying every option. There were also things they blatantly removed like being able to marry Quinn before the "incident" and having different dialogue because of it.
  11. It definitely wouldn't be the first time :/ I get the feeling most of the higher ups are straight men and see the player base as being the same with the desires of straight women and gay men as an afterthought and the only reason lesbian women are getting so much content with Lana is because they have to share it with straight men. There's no way she would have gotten this treatment if she was a same sex only romance.
  12. It's been years, they know many of us don't like her and want to get rid of her and they don't care. A few years ago in a livestream someone asked if we could get an option to kill Lana and they were scandalized and said something along the lines of "she hasn't done anything to deserve that :O" well neither had Jorgan, Kaliyo, Vette, Torian, or Theron but here we are. Koth hadn't done anything to deserve death until they wrote him as doing so and they gave Quinn a kill option years later when it no longer made sense. With the rest of the companions and love interests they just show back up and then disappear into silent irrelevance. If the devs wanted to give us a kill or dismiss option for Lana they would have done so by now, there were many opportunities. Theron is the only companion/love interest that gets fairly regular screen time but his role is dwarfed compared to hers. I reserve the right to be unabashedly salty about it at this point.
  13. I feel like at this point the devs are directly trolling those of us who hate Lana. Adding yet ANOTHER scene where we wake up to her face looming over us (while our friends or love interests just leave us unconscious on the floor)? How many is this now? Four? They're never going to give us the option to get rid of her, she's firmly entrenched as the writer's pet and it's insufferable.
  14. I don't know anything about computer specs, running the game on compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 3 has made the game run best for me though, maybe it'll help you somewhat as well
  15. Let's be real, that $20 expansion charge would go straight to developing whatever new cash grab, pay to win, lootbox infested garbage EA will be developing at any given time, it wouldn't be reinvested back into SWtOR just as the majority of profits from SWtOR are not being reinvested into it now but being used for garbage like Anthem.
  16. If that money were actually getting invested back into the game for regular story updates then I'd be glad to throw more money at it but it's not and upping the amount of money spent isn't going to change that. They've decided to squeak by doing as little as possible and just let the sub and CC money come in which takes no additional effort.
  17. I've read a lot of complaints about people being 1 shot killed by Iokath droids since the update. Maybe they fixed it or maybe it's a glitch that isn't triggered for everyone? Either way it's a repeated complaint
  18. I believe the KotFE and KotET chapters have been severely unbalanced since the update with some being impossible to complete.
  19. You know I was thinking about this today, the Empire or Republic offering you your old job back and offering citizenship to all your alliance members, clearing their records, etc...and I was like "they're forgetting or glossing over a pretty glaring point" that point is Arcann and people who kept him alive. Empire/Republic leaders: "Thanks for your great work, we'd like to offer all of your people clean slates and citizenship" PC: "Really? So my boyfriend can come too?" Empire/Republic leaders: "Of course, who-" *Arcann steps out from the shadows* Empire/Republic leaders: "Is that the former tyrannical leader who killed millions, brought the galaxy to its knees, and crippled our people and home?" PC: "The very same, so can he come too?" Empire/Republic leaders: "Well gee golly gosh I don't see why not!" :D:D
  20. I assumed it was Marr, I would hate if it was "Revan" I thought we killed that lame poser twice already. I'd be fine with pretty much anyone else aside from "Revan."
  21. I didn't say "all" so no need to take it personally. You can however play your smuggler as a cowardly, greedy, weasel and the game doesn't differentiate. A force prodigy jedi consular played to be as heroic as possible and a smuggler played to be a petty criminal who caves under the first sign of pressure are treated the exact same way. I even made my cowardly, lazy, snarky smuggler Emperor and it was hilarious in a way it wouldn't be for a sith, fallen jedi, or soldier. Regardless of how much you love your smuggler or BH character, KotFE and KotET were clearly not written with them in mind. The Consular and Inquisitor fit because of their force and political power as well but the expansions were obviously written for the Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior.
  22. I just wish we had some kind of outline or goal or something from BioWare to get at least a vague idea
  23. Same here, I'm worried that my saboteur characters will end up as "orphans" though since the Empire didn't offer them their old jobs back but the Republic is giving them the runaround about openly joining the Republic
