well, if you are really really new and not confident about playing it, I don´t recommend sorc, because of the light armor, they can be too squishy for someone new. Definitely not marauder or sentinel if you don´t like too many skills to care of. Healers or tanks will need some training, not as easy to get into as dps, although dps is the one role that´s easy to start but hard to master in high end game, so Arsenal Mercenary would be recommended, or that mirrored tree in pub side commando
