    Full Tank?

Yes if you are a Guardian or Juggernaut, no for any other tank class. Assassins are much better being a tanky dps that can hold nodes for ages and kill then being full tank. Vanguard, just poor poor bastards and I pity any I see running tank in pvp. As a guardian/juggernaut just focus on protecting your healer, you have lots of ways to control the battle field (AOE taunt, AOE slow, AOE mez) aswell as more targeted methods like force push and your two stuns, tank juggs are the best ball carriers in huttball in the game. The thing about playing a tank is that you really have to think about every move you make which is what makes it a hard class to play effectively.
  2. I've done something similar in lowbie pvp a long time ago. http://s9.postimage.org/m57vzhlni/all0s.jpg
  3. I want to see a geared scoundrel healer versus a geared operative healer. It's the fight that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends, some people started watching it not knowing what it was and now they'll just keep on watching it forever just because it is the fight that never ends........
  4. If you're a bubble witch you must die, if you are a healer you must die, if you are a dpser you are an easy kill and must die. There you go.
  5. Focus if you want the massive crits, Combat if you want to be really helpful to your team.
  6. Not sure how it effects the gameplay but if you see somebody gets taunted twice he has two taunt debuffs on him.
  7. First off I don't think FTW means what you think it means, FTW mean For The Win. Also you only need 4 pieces to get a set bonus so you can keep one piece without a set bonus, also the top tier stuff in game and anything released after them the set bonus is bound to the armourings not the gear shells.
  8. Luke beat Abeloth. Abeloth > SWTOR Emperor, that is all.
  9. Utility is combat for the super transcendence, damage is focus.
  10. Must have been a bad guardian, that is like a gift for me when I'm playing my guardian, I'll just come at you from an angle, force push you out of cover then leap up to you.
  11. Juggs are basically the only class that can get away with going full tank gear, so if you want to be a tank it is viable just be aware most stuff at the top of the immortal tree is useless so you'll want to go immortal vengeance hybrid for all the nice stuff in that tree.
  12. At times, just came out of a hilarious game where because almost every player was playing that spec there was no healers so nobody could hold any node for more then a few seconds during CW, it was actually incredibly fun. http://s8.postimage.org/bgjf5ft03/Screenshot_2012_12_19_00_41_29_168852.jpg
  13. Stay the hell away from my guard, it's the one thing that makes us tanks useful in pvp, I'm sorry you want to be able to smash monkey two hit everything but you need to realize some of us like to be able to keep other players alive and play a team game. Also if they nerf guard they need to make it so our shield generators work on all damage types. Also how can you be asking for tanks to be nerfed, we're an entirely situational class ffs.
  14. Yay in the future no more finishing with only 2 medals due to guarding.

    Jugg Tank

Staying away from retaliation isn't that good an idea, yes don't decrease it's focus cost but definatly take the 3% defence rating buff perk as defence rating is the only defensive stat that really applies to the majority of situations and you'll always have the ability to use retaliate because there is always somebody whacking on you with their basic attack. That being said don't go full immortal tree, it gets lack luster near the top go a hybrid but before you go hybrid try to decide what you want to focus more on defence or tanky dps. I personally run about as pure a tank as you possibly can in warzones using tank gear (two vindicator set armourings for the 8% heal from guardian leap bonus only none tank stuff but the stats are identical to the tank gear on them) and run a 23/16/2 basically this build is all about controlling the area immediately around you which is great for helping out the healers. You go up to 23 to get your second stun and the 4% extra shield chance (people **** on shield for good reason but it has it's uses as I know for a fact two out of the 3 finisher moves are white damage not sure if the gunslingers is white damage aswell) but basically your shield will mitigate most of the damage incoming from the finisher moves that everybody will throw at you when you get to low health not to mention some of the best damage dealing classes use their basic attack a fair bit (PTs, and Maras) so you'll mitigate that aswell and also since you have the 3% retaliate buff having a high shield chance is good for getting it off. You go up to 16 in the middle tree to get the free force sweep so you can spam it whenever it comes off cooldown and all the other goodies in that tree up that point, you put the 2 points in the third tree fore extra force sweep damage and reduced cooldown. If/when the level cap goes up to 55 I'll change the tree up to 23/22/1 to get the buff to enraged defence and overall mitigation. I augment my gear with all mainstat/endurance augments so I hit a bit harder and have a higher chance of critting so it is harder for the other team to ignore me. An average game damage wise I'll do about 120k but if I have a good healer keeping me up and being in the fight the whole game I've hit 250k before. Protection numbers always depend on how good the other team focuses my healers/if I have any healers but I rarely don't get my 50k medal in games without healers and games with healers I rarely get anything under 100k. Just my two cents.

    1 wish for X-mas

I find it is always the bad players that don't know the enemy classes that call hacks. Hell I've been accused, had a guy log off imp and onto a pub because he didn't know glowy shadows are immune to most stuns.
  17. Bioware didn't do the shorts, that was Blur Studios, honestly everything Blur does looks beautiful and you'll recognize alot of it you should take a look. http://vz3.blur.com/work
  18. I was trying to think of one and couldn't think of one in particular but then I realized when one of my standard plays in hutt ball went awry I got a pretty funny kill. I preface this by saying I play a guardian tank. So start of hutt ball matches if I get the ball off the bat I like to look up and catch people on the other team coming across the fire pit up there, jump to them then push them back across the fire and jump to them again and then have a fairly easy path to the goal line since only they and anybody with them are in a position to harass me. Well one time it was just one poor commando coming across by himself so then I force push but my aim was a bit off and he hit the back pole just as the ground was turning red to signal the incoming fire, I then jumped to him and walked on my way to a score as my leap rooted him and he got burned to death.
  19. Interesting side note, I just finished a game with 4 medals, stole their pylon twice we lost because we got double capped once and weren't able to the 2nd the other time but I get 110 commendations so maybe we aren't getting the medals but 110 commendations is more then I usually get on any other map in a losing cause even if I have 8+ medals.
  20. So I just started playing my assassin again because of how easily they can steal pylons against single guards, but I noticed I wasn't getting attacker points for it. I mean I stole it 3 times in a match (big part of why my team won) and I came out of the game with 2 medals. Also why don't people get defender points for guarding the pylons?
  21. Very interesting stuff, I wonder how much higher your winning % would be on voidstar if you played say an assassin as they can single handidly win those pretty easily in lowbies. Infact I'd wonder how much of an effect each class and spec would have on your winning percentage in all match types that would be very interesting.
  22. From your signature I'm guessing you're talking about your play on the harbinger, the republic has 4 good guilds that run premades alot (black jack, goof troop, immortalsz, and covenant). I'm going to take a guess and you don't notice the premades all the time when they are on your team, hell I know for a fact that players from the aforementioned guilds will group up with each other at times. Also if you feel the same thing is happening on imp side maybe you're the problem not premades. Also simple mathmatics will show you that you have less of a chance on being on a team with a premade then being on one without while the odds you'll face one stay the same. A group with a full premade has 4 available slots for pugs, a team without a premade has 8, doesn't take a math genius to realize you have better odds on being on a team without a premade.
  23. Not true, I run a tank guardian. In full war hero tank gear with my belt being entire pve armouring plus mod and exotech stim and I reach 24.8k health, I've hit for over 5k once and that was the end of master strike on somebody that I assume was in leveling greens, usually it's a 50/50 chance I get my 2.5k medal.
  24. First line is your problem, you don't realize you need to learn to play therefore you won't learn to play. I outlined how you could get better in my previous post. If you can't admit fault you'll never improve.
  25. First off know how you counter stealthers on the new map? Have 2 people defending, boom problem solved. Also anybody showing up to any unguarded node can cap it easily not their fault you're a moron and decided to leave it unguarded to go medal farm. Also two stealthers against one defender has always been a guaranteed node capture on every map but you see they actually have to be organized to do it so it won't happen in pugs. Also I've read this entire thread up to this point and have come to the conclusion you're a bad player because you're not very bright. I've come to this conclusion due to many things I've seen from your unwillingness to learn when people offer you answers and you're unwillingness to try and learn on your own by playing the classes that are beating you a bit. First off I got my *** royally handed to me once by an ataru form using mara, I had no idea what he did to me only that he hit me harder then I'd ever been hit before so I came to the forums and made a thread, that thread wasn't nerf the ataru form spec it was can anybody explain to me how a marauder in ataru form did this damage to me? I got an answer right away and now know to look for gore when they apply it and to have a stun or knockback or any escape mechanism ready for it at all times, I also then went and created a sentinel so I could read all the abilities in that tree so I knew exactly what they are capable of and to get a bit of a feel for their playstyle. That is the proper process to go through when you are getting owned by a class. If you ever played sports at a competitive level you'd know the key to winning isn't just to focus on your teams strategy and your play but to also know your opponents, what they are good at, what their tendancies are and to be able to recognize a situation developing long before it happens. These are applied in videogames as well when playing against other people. Scouting reports on the other teams players just become knowing their classes and what spec does what well and what badly. Being aware goes from seeing the play develop to any number awareness things in this game for one stealth based example in civil war say you're guarding either mid or the other teams natural node, you can see right into their speeder landing area now most stealths when they land will stealth right away but they'll usually take a few steps towards the node they are planning on going to before stealthing, aslong as you are looking in there you now know which node they are going to attack. Also you need to get out of the single player game mindset where you are an unkillable god and if something kills you it must be broken, this is going against other people and you know what you aren't special, nobody is special there are going to be people that are better then you or are built to counter you and just because you want to be able to swat them all away like flies doesn't mean you are going to. In short your issue is your unwillingness to learn.
