  1. *sigh* Could they please fix these login issues? A few days now everything worked fine, then suddenly I'm back at error 208...
  2. Same problem here (Germany). Also, I apparently no longer see a status bar for the repair, so I have to guess if and when it's through.
  3. Yeah, I tried getting that schematic too, for some time now. But so far, every attempt to get it via RE has failed...
  4. Actually, I am glad that they finally do someting about the hyper inflation we see in all the GTNs. Akkdog companions for 500 million credits? White chest pieces for 25 million credits? Apparently some people here have that kind of ingame money, while others (like me) are busy for a month to scrape together the "pittance" of 10 million credits. I make it a point to not participate in this market game: I sell my stuff cheap, eventhough I often see that others buy it off of me just to re-offer it for 10 times the price (e.g. blue leggins for 100k credits instead of 10k credits). I know how stupid I think it is to be unable to properly dress up your characters, just because someone requests insane amounts of credits for simple outfits, that's why I sell the stuff I find for cheap money, in hopes that someone buys it who actually wants to use to dress up their characters. But apparently there are too many people "playing the market"... Oh well. So yeah, at least something is done now against hyper inflation. I approve. Just my 2 cents of course...
  5. Ah, I see. Much obliged for pointing that out to me.
  6. Hey there! Today I achieved both, "Dark vs Light Champion" and "Dark vs Light Eternal" at the same instant, by doing the last remaining flashpoints. According to Dulfy, this should give me 30 DvsL packs as well as the last remaining pieces of the "Victorious Pioneer’s Armor Set"; but it should also give me the "Victorious Trailblazer’s Armor Set". Yet, I didn't get the last one; there were only 15 DvsL packs in the one package and another 15 packs plus the remaining pieces from "Victorious Pioneer’s Armor Set" I got via mail, but not "Victorious Trailblazer’s Armor Set". Wasn't I supposed to get that, too, as part of the "Dark vs Light Champion" achievement? Or is this one of those rewards that will be given out only after the event ended, like the new companion? Cheers!
  7. Yeah, same here; logged in at about one and a half hours ago and had no notification in my launcher. But then again, maintenance downtime is part of online gaming, and someone will always have their prime time spoiled by maintenance. Btw. I too live in Europe, and only managed to finish level 5 of the Eternal Championship before seeing the server message about an imminent server shutdown 15 minutes later. Now I'm listening to music instead, browsing the forums and interwebs, and starting early with my dinner preparations. This maintenance downtime is nothing to spoil my evening over.
  8. Every since this morning, I constantly get high lag and disconnects on my characters on The Progenitor. The connection will show a red dot, then a red cross, then I'm on the server selection screen. Funny enough, as soon as I switch to for example Ebon Hawk, everything is fine again and I can play for at least an hour without disconnect. Sadly, since I'M European my main legacy is on The Progenitor. So I'd love to continue to play my characters there... Does anyone else have the same issues today with The Progenitor? Or does anyone else have these weird issues with one server but not the other, in general? EDIT: I also noticed a weird change in ambient light today. Sometimes it's darker, sometimes brighter. Haven't seen something like this ever in the last years in SWTOR. Cheers!
  9. Yep, same here. Was in the middle of a boss fight and *swoosh* off the server went. I hope they fix it soon...
  10. Alright then! It took longer than I anticipated (the last 30.000 reputation points are tedious to get), but here it is, my new Czerka Executive Speeder: http://i.imgur.com/0uEp7wv.jpg
  11. One of the spammers yesterday even offered "power-leveling a character to level 55", for a mere pittance of $200. What a creative way to ask for control of one's account / character, and to thus get another "farmbot", and even from a real and paying account no less! I like the idea of silently muting them (so they wouldn't notice themselves), but I would even more prefer if the buyers would be punished / banned instead of the sellers. Where there's no buyers, there's no market.
  12. Please, don't give them any ideas on how to ruin yet another class. It's bad enough that they castrated my sniper with the implementation of "Orbital Disco Lights"; no need to ruin the viability of other classes as well. Instead, they should ackowledge and fix the mess they did with OS.
  14. Hey there! Can I learn schematics from prototype armor I purchased on the GTN? Somehow it always shows me "no research available", no matter if I try it on blue or purple armor. Or is there a trick about whether I can learn a schematic or not? I remember to have read somewhere in a description in the game that I should be able to learn schematics from prototype armor, or is this really limited to only armor I craft myself?
  15. Leaving your front door unlocked would also mean "asking [for it] to be abused"; still I'm sure you would be upset if someone would actually walk in and steal you stuff, right? Part of being a decent human being is to not always do everything "just because it's technically possible". And even though I personally never fell for the scammers, I'd still like to know if they will at least lose the cartel coins their scam rewarded them... Some of them even bragged with pictures from their account pages, showing that they stole hundreds of millions of CC from Bioware.
  16. Thank you Eric, this should help keep people from stepping into referral traps from now on. However, what about the cartel coins that were leeched off of Bioware by exploiting the link? Will they be revoked / confiscated? Or can the scammers rest easy on the fortune they stole from Bioware?
  17. Oh, and don't bother grinding classic commendations. For the effort (in time and travelling) you get only a mere pittance in commendations per quest, and everything you can buy with classic commendations needs a lot of them.
  18. Ops then, eh? Hmmm... I honestly never did those since I assumed they were only viable for guilds (and I'm in no guild any more). Is there a reason they pay more social points than other activities?
  19. Well, I tend to get the easy-to-reach datacrons that are hard to find (the first time) but not hard to get to. The ones blocked behind "Super Mario" jump'n'run parcours however, I usually ignore (unless I'm really bored and in the mood to complete all achievements on a planet); same goes for social points btw., they are so tedious to get that I normally just ignore them and don't care. As for your question about modifications, I'd suggest farming basic commendations through flashpoints and dailies in areas where basic commendations are dropped (like Makeb) for a fresh level 55 character and planetary commendations for a fresh level 50 character, so you can gear up at least with purple Makeb mods. The GTN however I'd ignore; the prices for purple end level mods are so far off the scale that you'll have to grind a lot of credits before gearing even one character.
  20. Yes, that's my favourite option in this game (or any online game really). Mostly I allow people to invite me into groups but I have SWTOR automatically block all incoming guild invites. If someone wants to invite me to their guild, they can ask first and give me a chance to see for myself if that guild suits me and if I will fit into that guild. Should I agree, I still can deactivate the setting and get invited. But, apart from the info text, ninja guild invites don't penetrate my firewall.
  21. I totally agree with you. However, I think this suggestion has been made at least two dozen times, and Bioware has yet always ignored it. The closest thing we had until now was the "Civillian Pilot Uniform", and it was the only similar armor I could get (since I'm no CE owner). And thanks to dyes I can make it look more like an actual officers uniform. However, I could do without the gun as well.
  22. Yeah, I love the GSI mission style; it's refreshingly different from other mission styles in the game, nd it doesn't get old that fast. And I agree about the mobs as well; on some planets (I'm looking at you, Oricon and Makeb), it's almost impossible to avoid more than one or two mobs in a row, even with a stealth class. That is one of the reasons why Tatooine has become my favourite planet so far.
  23. Well, at least Bioware has broadened their definition of "social activities" from "only share dialogs" to other things as well, like helping others complete their (bonus) quests or being in a group while fighting a boss. Maybe some day they'll finally acknowledge that there are still a lot more things that count as "social interaction" than the ones that give social points right now. Also, what exactly is the reasoning behind making social rank a per character achievement? I always thought it was me, the person behind that character who is being social, not the character itself; and if social rank is character-based, why is reputation (another form of social rank) legacy-wide?
