  1. if bioware is forcing our character(s) to wear skimpy armour , then its natural to protest .. but if other people wearing if just for fun or whatever reason , isnt it their right ?
  2. the benefit of these 'standing still' dps classes, is that if you play mulltiple account (multi characters) , it is easier to just play your main and then use your secondary char to spam dps..
  3. i agree, the bounty hunter storyline is the worst.. *SPOILER WARNING* just look at the bounty hunter class quest in taris... acting as a sniper bait the whole time ? taking the rounds instead of doing something ? what a lame storyline.. i understand bounty hunter storyline must be related to bounty hunting.. but it can be made better into a revenge story or treachery story.. Trooper story is great especially chapter 1 and 3.. the 2nd chapter is kinda slow but ok..
  4. i dunno, every starwars lore (comics, cartoon, movie , books) depicts bounty hunters wearing some kind of armour but not a light armour like leather jacket... smugglers = perfect for leather jackets... BH ? no
  5. one more thing, since ORBITAL STRIKE / XS-FLYBY now relegated as a fluffy damage dealer, shoudnt it be given to players at much lower level ? level 34 is where sage/sorcerer can spam force-storm/force-quake endlessly with minuscule amount of force... make ORBITAL STRIKE available at lv34 because balancing is not about changing its dps , its cooldown or its type, but balancing also should be reviewed on when that skill should be given to player. a minor , yet signature skill like orbital strike should be given at much much lower level since its damage nerfed so badly..
  6. the nerf to OPERATIVE / SCOUNDREL healing , because of PVP balancing , shouldnt be applied also in PVE BIOWARE i dont care about PVP balancing (since it is necessary i assume), but you shouldnt balance PVP without saying that it wont affect PVE since it will affect PVE no matter how insignificant it is to you or your combat team. make the PVP balancing WORKS only in PVP environment (AKA WARZONES only)...
  7. Commando : Gunnery (or Mercenary : Arsenal) and Sniper : marksman (or Gunslinger equivalent) both are pretty much stay in one place and dps.. but at the raid/operation, it is not wise to stay in one place... heck even in flashpoints there are moments when you should MOVE out of the CIRCLE..
  8. its just cosmetic option.. which is good to have.. just like what my merc wear , a leather jacket look alike dyed white... is it lore correct ? no .. is it funny ? yes lol
  9. i think this is nice change for commando (which i love dearly).. somehow i love my commando (gunnery) more than i love my merc (arsenal).. which have similar tree but different execution/animation.. a merc looks to me like an overly armoured gunslinger (using 2 handed pistols) instead of a real soldier (commando)
  10. one of the idea i float around and suggest to BIOWARE is the change on how AOE works.. in warzones, AOE shouldnt be able to be stacked (damage wise).. so if in warzone a player already put orbital strike AOE circle, then if additional player (from the same side) put AOE circle on the same spot, the damage increase will be nill or at least minimal... thus every class retains their damaging AOE skills without need for unnecesarry nerfs to AOE... and this only apply to PVP and not PVE... Otherwise, i can see future nerfs to the AOE skills on sage/sorc , mando/merc , GS/Snipers... Every class which i love since i played every AC and loving it.. (well the melee class Jedi/Sith warrior a bit annoying to play with 400ms ping in here).. cheers
  11. for those who (understandably) look at my post as some kind of crying "nerf every class but mine", i apologize because it is not my intention at all.. My only reason was to avoid future nerfs to every class (which i own every class and every AC) by doing a really indepth study on balancing , instead of doing 1 nerf and wait then 1 more nerf and wait and more and more, making everything unbalanced in PVP and annoying in PVE.. I do not know if it is possible but the 'smash' nerf (that affect PVP enemies instead of PVE) should also be followed as an example to PVP balancing without PVE impact. Any nerf because of PVP balancing WILL IMPACT the PVE side (and vice versa).. because they both tied.. unless certain steps are taken to avoid it (see : smash pvp nerf)
  12. Dear Bioware I understand your reason for balancing, im sure you do this with real data from the metrics you collect from your servers. however numbers/statistics only let you see in one side only and not seeing the big picture.. nerfing class's ability impact the unseen that is player's satisfaction with the game. Consider the AOE nerf(s) thats happening , i rather you do it in this way, simpler without any nerf at all.. The nerfs of smash , orbital strike and the surely coming nerfs for force-quake/force storm and all other AOE skills (whether in damage nerf , cooldown nerf, resource use nerf etc) can be avoided by making AOE stacking impossible , so if one player already put an AOE circle on some area, if another player put AOE circle there, the damage dont stack.. this will avoid the AOE spamming and certainly help every class retain their AOE damage without nerfing it unnecesarily. regards
  13. After the Orbital Strike damage nerf , when will bioware 'adjust' the damage and cooldown of Force Quake and other non-cooldown AoE skills from ranged class (sorc/sage, sniper/gunslinger, merc/commando) ? The Channeled nature of these AoE spells are great but no-cooldown means this can also be abused if a player dont mind wasting heat/ammo/energy/force points... and it get worse if multiple players doing these non stop AOE attacks.. in my opinion, these AOE should be at the same damage level but with increased energy/force/ammo usage debuff if used continuously (more and more energy required if it is non stop chained), and the debuff should also decrease the damage of these AOEs if someone tried to spam it endlessly.. an implementation of damaging debuff would be great , so a sorcerer/sniper/merc can get massive damage to his own self if he keep using this same skill over and over...
  14. Dear Bioware I am a subscriber with a very casual playing style and only do PVE stuff , I dont do PVP. My only level 55 is a healing operative. im very very concerned and disappointed since you change the Orbital Strike because it is my favorite spell. But now in the patch 2.7 there will be another set of changes that even worse for operative. And im sorry to say that this makes me very sad because the reason for patch 2.7 changes is because 'operative heals need to be toned down in PVP'. i understance that for PVP you need to BALANCE everything. But i dont understand WHY that balancing have to affect me as a PVE player. I do not believe you put enough time to see the whole implication of the class changes beyond PVP setting. so PLEASE RECONSIDER your changes to operative in patch 2.7 especially that concerning healer and with regards to Flashbang please make your changes affect only PVP players.. If you are stubborn enough to go thru the changes for whatever reason, please make sure the changes ONLY AFFECT the PVP environment and PVP players. Im sure my letter will be just a drop of water in an ocean , which you can safely disregard. But i hope you dont sow seed of disappointments because you can only reap disappointment later on. regards Very Disappointed Operative player
