They was building up to an expansion with those perks. It doesn't look like an expansion will drop this year, although they could completely prove me wrong and announce one out of the blue. I wouldn't expect it though. From waht information is out there it looks like the Iokath OP is the focus for this year as far as content. We'll see when they release the roadmap. Adding a little extra for subs isn't a bad idea even without an expansion.

I'm not sure they thought this through when making the alliance system. Along that and the plague that is auto starting chapters, there is no need to even mess with the system unless you want the sf buff. I guess they could have gated chapters behind influence levels but that isn't a great idea either but it would have at least made the system seem meaningful.

Of course it could get worse, they could (and eventually will) shut down. GC is only an issue if you are into endgame or just want max numbers. If you play for story, then it's pretty much a non issue.

Agreed. This has gone rather smoothly compared to another MMO I played when they moved datacenters. It was screwed up for a couple weeks.

I don't really have a problem with GC in of itself. It encourages different styles of play. With that said, the RNG to gear needs to go. The crates should contain command tokens with guaranteed unassembled tokens of choice in it with a chance at gear in my opinion. That way people are progressing towards gear even if they don't get lucky.

All the heroics should have been put in instances from the start. Nothing heroic about waiting around and waiting for something or someone to spawn.

Pretty much when the story ends it becomes playing the GTN and crafting. No real interest in playing Ops or PvP.

Honestly wish I would have checked out Dulfy's preview before buying. There really isn't a carrot worth chasing to me in this pack outside of the saber, pike. This change just flat out sucks though. I can and will get behind this boycott going forward even if it doesn't matter.

Wasn't real impressed with the pack before buying a few. I'm done with this pack and probably packs in general until they reverse this change.

It depends, gold gifts (Rank 6) will probably still be the big net for increasing influence. I imagine crew skills won't give out much influence.

They could always Death Knight a class. Start a class pre leveled to a certain point and have a small story for it's origin planet. I don't see it happening but it would make the most sense doing it that way.

At 48 you can just do class story quests the rest of the way easily and gain enough levels.
