People who assume 4 cores is faster than 2 cores don't know even the basics of computer science. This game requires 2 cores ( that's what it makes use of. ) My personal computer has a 2.7ghz i5, and it runs beautifully. My laptop has a 2.0ghz i7 and it runs okay ( with a *******r video card, of course. ) I upgraded my video card to a 6950, and my friend took my old video card, an HD 4890, and bought a new i5 @ 3.5ghz. His computer runs the game as well as mine does, if not better. We both run the game at full settings. This game runs well on relatively low spec computers, looks good and it will run on your friend's CPU assuming a few things: that his ram speed is not too slow, that he has 4GB of ram or more, and that he has a video card that will handle the minimal demands this game makes.

You are barely able to grasp the ability to communicate and you're suggesting that I can't grasp what it is you're trying to say? Do you think the two might be related? Yeah, no. A brief explanation with no citation on the part of some 3rd party isn't proof. Even assuming it was, initial purchase to continued sub is always going to be significantly less. No, you know what's OP? In World of Warcraft, there's an ability called Ravage and it's constantly linked immediately after a typed in "Anal." The mind-numbing loathing one feels as a result is OP. LET US FOCUS.

Every MMO is the same, I see the same complaints. :| To beat the 'unbeatable' ones in PvP, learn how to survive their main burst combo. If you can't do that with skill alone, get better gear + skill. If you live through that initial burst, the majority of your players will fall-off, skill-wise, and it's an easy walk to the throne from there.

I'm located in central time ( -06:00 hours ) and I find the maintenance to be pretty inconvenient, too. I usually log in pretty late at night, and this usually cuts my playtime... I have no complaints, but I won't resub a game that I am not playing, and this maintenance is redirecting my gaming to other games. I'm really hoping this is an incredibly unusual pattern, because if they keep jabbing their brand new playerbase with maintenance, they're going to get the wrong impression and not resubscribe. Does it not seem kind of poor choice to invite players in on a free weekend, and then have 2+ maintenance nights a week the following month? Doesn't lend much credibility to a group of people you need to impress.

What difference does it make? The download is available to all now, so either it's going to warn you that you don't have up to date content or it's going to load the game as normal and then show you offline servers. You might already have the download. It was available yesterday for a time.

Apparently it was available briefly yesterday... some people got it then. If you can get into the game, but see the servers down, you're all good.

Don't know about that, I got 5.6MB/s. Try opening IE ( specifically ) and going to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings button and un-checking Automatically Detect Settings. Worked for me. :|

I've played a ton of MMOs, and this one pretty well takes the cake for initial introduction. Not many games do what this one does for you. The problem is that people don't enjoy content or challenges, they enjoy getting a lot of **** really quickly to satisfy their instant gratification.
