  1. Curiosity isn't something you should be discouraging. He's allowed to ask about this in the polite manner he has. Also, tell me you don't see a difference between 30 and 60 FPS. I know you do.
  2. First, lmfao. Second, a lot of great advice and corrections/expansions on what I said. OP should read through and make a good, informed decision. Hope it looks and plays as unreal awesome as it can. See you in game
  3. I think what amazes me most about the community is how quickly they forget what previous MMOs were like. It's like they're stuck in some sort of groundhog day effect...
  4. The quest giver you missed was probably the one on fleet. Double check the quests on fleet, particularly the ones near the exit of the shuttle departures to your starter planet.
  5. Were you queuing for a flashpoint or a planet? No one queues for planets, pretty much all quests on the planets are solo-able, with the exceptions being the heroic ones. In those cases, people ask in the planet's general chat.
  6. Heavy armor vendors also carry it. It helps knowing that droid gear is considered heavy type.
  7. I've found that the cursor will hide after exiting an instance, and clicking in the viewport anywhere will correct it. Do you see options highlighting as you move your mouse around, despite there being no cursor? Do you use a dual monitor setup?
  8. This game doesn't 'save,' like any other MMO whatever action you take is immediately applied to the server. Can you describe what you mean when she has to "start all over"?
  9. I have seriously not waited more than 2 minutes in queue since transfers, and I don't mean 2 minutes each time, I mean 2 minutes in total time waited in queue over the entire time I've played this game. What server are you on that it's that bad? Even a 10 minute wait is nothing. You can't be living that "full time" of a life if your perspective is so skewed over such a minor issue. I simply can't understand why you would rather play in a dead server where you wait and wait forever as opposed to playing in a full server where you wait maybe a minute before logging in and get to play with thousands of people. If you don't want to play with people and the tiny wait is too much an issue, you really chose the wrong genre of game, my dear.
  10. I think that seems to be the case... About a month and a bit ago my GF bought the game off my referral, and about 4 days ago my friend bought the game, also off my referral. I couldn't figure out which had provided the speeder, but I think it's the friend because I believe he used a time-code instead of a credit card. In either case, all my characters have the Kurtob speeder.
  11. The 'best' is far too subjective to say for real. Ordering a pre-built computer generally won't get you what you want/need to get the game working magnificently. The best way to get the game to run really well is to keep your computer clean and up to date. A lot of the players you see loading extremely fast probably run expensive custom hardware and know how to configure their computer for the most performance. That said, you will need this to play well: - Minimum 8GB of ram, preferably DDR3 ( 1333mhz or faster ) - At least a 3.0Ghz processor ( number of cores doesn't matter as much as speed, things like L2 cache matter too but you can check benchmark websites like TomsHardware.com for more specific info ) - A 500 or higher series Nvidia card OR a 6000 or higher series Radeon card. Crossfire/SLI are not recommended as they don't seem to play very nicely with SWTOR, and you might be spending a lot more on 2 cards that would be better served by having just 1 good one. Other things include a good power supply, but if you're buying a pre-built machine I assume they'll put in whatever is necessary. Any size harddrive will do, at least 7200RPM, or if you want to spend extra cash, grab a medium size drive ( 500GB-1TB ) and a decent size Solid State Drive ( SSD, 128GB. ) I've found processor is more important than graphics card for this game. Don't choke your processor for a beefy video card, lots of newbie computer builders make that mistake. Beefier processor is better than beefier video card.
  12. This just doesnt hold true. It appears you're simply more inexperienced; you can't use anecdotal evidence to support your idea, otherwise there would be several sages on here telling you that the sage is a lot easier to use against elites and bosses than a lot of other classes ( such as the pure DPS classes. )
  13. Answer this question: What possible benefit is there to posting on the forum over posting to a discrete bug report? I have a feeling I already know the answer. To get attention. That makes you immature ( or the original poster, more specifically. ) This is why you are receiving responses belittling you... it's not you, it's your childish attitude.
  14. They are here to discuss in game issues, seek help and discuss the game overall. They are not here to report a bug. That is exactly what this is, every user knows it, and there is nothing a user can do to help the player annoyed by this bug. If you take the time to think it through, you realize that this post does not belong on the forums. It belongs in a bug report sent directly to the developer.
  15. So wait, OP, you're willing to spend hours at your job to pay for digital information, but you're not willing to spend a few hours at Starwars playing the game you paid for with friends to earn that digital information? Logic eludes you, doesn't it?
  16. Asking for a change ( bug report ) and complaining on the forums are two separate things.
  17. Lmfao. Really? You're complaining about having to click once more? Worthy of a bug report sure, but to come to the forums to complain about this? Seriously, step away from the game, the computer, and just do something else. You kids need to include other things in your life to put things into perspective.
  18. Awesome topic, would love to see more slots. I don't really use them all, but I know I might and I see tons of people who will, so here's to more slots per server.
  19. The idea of the story in a game is to take you through a story you love, letting you be the person in the story. The reason people love video games is that they get to be their own hero. This sort of storyline lets you do that. You can choose to be good or evil in a storyline that propels forward either way. People already have a life to live. What they want is a chance to be the hero of a story. In that, SWTOR succeeds greatly.
  20. You might have also accidentally changed pages on your quickbar. There's a little set of arrows and a number on the right portion of the quickbar... If it's anything but 1 then you probably accidentally changed pages.
  21. You can't make the bar bigger, but you can add more bars. You can even bind keys to those bars, so you could say bind a modifier key like CTRL to your new bar to make it easier to press the abilities you use most. Immediately beside your quickbar is a button that will be labeled Open Quick UI Customization Menu. If you click it and select Extended Quickbars you'll get all of the bars. You can also open the main game menu and go to Interface Editor to add or remove the bars and other elements you want. You can also change the scale of the entire UI here, or move things around if it pleases you!
  22. I imagine a number of people have asked for this already, so forgive my ignorance if that's the case, but I'd really love if I could port my hotkey setup between characters. It would save me a lot of time. I have an almost completely custom hotkey setup, and it would be handy to be able to port it, like the UI settings. I was enthralled that the UI setup could be saved and ported... I hope we see the same functionality with hotkeys.
