  1. Also, our Flashpoints are ran in the evenings~ usually around 9pm EST. Sometimes 10 pm.
  2. Hi, we are looking for players real life age 35+ that are mature, helpful and friendly. We are a group of old school gamers, Asherons Call...Ultima...where guilds were like a family, not just a vessel to get end game gear So if you are looking for an old school guild to make long lasting quality friends and really enjoy the game, please contact me ingame "Purplereign" or "Griefer" or "Vaintress" (If you have kids that play with you, that's no problem,so long as there is a parent age 35+) Thanks for reading, have a great day!
  3. Would you like to game with people that are MATURE, FRIENDLY and HELPFUL? Our guild is comprised of adults, real life age 35+ We are a small group of long time gamers...well before WoW days...long before games needed group finders,,, If you are Imperial and looking for an old school guild feeling like MMO's use to promote, please contact me ingame! whisper or mail "Purplereign" ingame to talk
  4. Right now, Emu is fun to socialize and reminisce. It's not quite 100% yet, but very functional. Lots of players in the Eisley Cantina 24/7. Grouping for combat xp is bugged atm though. Make a doctor or dancer and enjoy the community until the final rebuild is finished.
  5. good analogy, ToR is a very watered down NGE on rails + voice overs - housing - space - crafting system that works - pvp thats fun - pvp zones that matter - awesome heroics quests like Hoth at the village.
  6. I enjoy playing this single player story driven online chat game. But once I do the 3 or 4 alts to 50, it's game over time. Because there is no purpose to the community or other engaging activities to do after the story is over besides PVP or Raid. So I will accept this game for what it is and then be done with it. It's an over hyped waste of an epic license, and a title that would be best suited for console gamers that enjoy the simple and easy. I guess player driven economy & community, open world exploration and world shaping is too difficult for most people's IQ that call themselves gamers. I've also heard the cry about not having enough time to keep up with the hard core players in games with depth, so "waaaa its no fair, give us quick n easy." I guess its just to hard to figure out how to have fun if there isn't some big f'ing green door staring you in the face to entice you to walk into it just to find another tank n spank gold or elite enemy with different size, shape and color and drops some generic ugly piece of mod-able armor/weapon that you could acquire anyway at lvl 9 or from any com vendor. yeah that's real fun....not wake up guys, and raise the bar, for yourselves and for the game publishers, lest we continue to get the mindless game rubbish from them, as they will take the least difficult path too for profit at our complacent expense.
  7. 37 this year, I know what 8 tracks are would love to see a 3X+ guild...I'd be happy to provide the 512 user Teamspeak server! I'm tired of the younger generations self centered attitudes in MMO's. Actually would rather see us all head back to SWGEMU.com where socializing is fun and supported. I'm not much of a fan of SWTOR, sorry...I really wanted to be.
  8. When I'd rather browse the forums of a game, than log in and play, you know the game is not very good. This game lacks any "draw you in" factor. It's a easy, mindless, linear and restrictive game that allows you to group up with people. The end game is atrocious, lacking any depth or reason to exist. I too had a love/hate relationship with SWG for 9 years. But I would take a bug ridden no questing SWG any day over this WoW clone game with lightsabers and blasters. If anything should have been learned from history, it's that Star Wars game fans did not want a dumbed down game, the NGE proved that much! I'm sure once the nostalgia of a new Star Wars title wears off, or a real compelling title releases, people we begin to exit this game in droves. And it's very unfortunate that the license will suffer yet another big disappointment in the MMO genre. It's my prayer that someday, some innovative company, will get a shot at this license, and do some amazing things with it, preferably a timeline between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Encompassing all the player skill customization, resource gathering, space and crafting from SWG and adding in some stellar Heroic instances and a pvp galactic war that had serious benefits and consequences.
  9. You sir, are a bit confused. BW made this game to cater to end game gear chasers/raiders, aka WoW'ers. It's the non gear chasers, complex MMO players that are bored out of their minds in this game and why so many people are calling this a single player online...because thats how it feels to any non gear chaser that played a better MMO in the past.
  10. I think the issues are many. Too many infact. As an adult SW fan, I personally feel more drawn to the characters and stories of when we were kids, the origional trilogy chars. But BW can't do anything about that. Hence a lessor impact on the adult players in story...which is suppose to be the most compelling part of SWTOR. Now the story's are decent, not superb, but interesting enough. But when the story is over, the game becomes very meh. Secondly, the lack of customization to char, armor, appearance, ship, vehicles...all spell trouble for long term holding. Experienced players want ALOT of things to mess around with besides grinding daily's and re-running the same HM's over and over again. We like houses we can decorate, ships we can modify and decorate, a unique trinket or gear piece or buff item we can quest after. We like complex heroics/raids. Things with puzzles the jog our brain, not just our combat reflexes. We like complex and viable crafting, that has a wider variety so not every crafter has the same set of wares even though they are the same craft prof. Each crafting prof should have some seperate mastery skill. Yes this game feels very single player ish, with the only reason to guild up is to tackle HM's. Which is something I absolutely hated about WoW. It creates no loyalty, and no comraderie, as everyone guild bounces to get into a better slot or better raid group. Which intensifies the lack of cummunity feel, as the players love you while you help them attain their goals, but are all to ready to jump ship when it may benefit them more. And it just feeds people's ego's and animosity towards each other. Rather than bringing people together for a rewarding long term game experience. Set classes and talent trees are teh suq, and should of never been used. Skill based is the way to go, so every player is not cookie cutter with their talents. Level systems are single player methods, and it's sad BW took this approach. Skill based leveling is much more interesting and rewarding. And it makes it easier to add in new skills in future patches and expansion, rather than adding in more character levels for no reason, because set trees are a pain to adjust for expansion. I could go on and on about why this game is subpar in so many ways. But I won't spoil the ToR lovers fun with my disdain any longer. And yes I will most likely be hitting the unsub button after I play out my fav class story's to 50, and go play swgemu and thesecretworld for a while. I may even go back to college so I can get a game designers degree so I can deliver the world something worthy of their long term entertainment. BW had such a wonderful epic world & story model to build from, Star Wars...it doesn't get any better than the star wars universe for entertainment. But sadly, this opportunity was squandered on trying to copy much from WoW and adding in Voice acting. From a financial view point, I can understand why. As an adult gamer loves complexity, what a disappointment swtor is.
