  1. The problem is that you are relying on a "small?" pool of testers? How many 50's did they copy to the PTS? How many are Troopers? How many are Commando's? How many are specced full CM? Now you need to have the CM's healing in HM's and OP's.... Do you think that they will be getting a large enough data pool from that? I hope so.... But I don't see that in reality.

  3. And that right there should put an end to this thread /close thread PvP changes to CM aren't too bad because as has been said there is a built in throttle. BUT PvE has been made nearly impossible to be an effective healer in HM and OPS. It was hard work prior to this, but with all the changes combined it hurt us a lot. So as far as your Relax! comment, you need to put a * there and talk to the PvP CM, as the PvE CM's won't be relaxing any time soon!

  5. Just an fyi, there is an imbalance between the 2 skills. Mortar Volley does indeed have a longer delay before the damage hits, than DFA has. The devs are aware of it and it is supposed to be fixed (1.2 I believe) along with other animation differences.
  6. That sucks..... BUT, imagine how you would have felt BEFORE the bag changes. 50 bags, not one token & NOT ONE CHAMP PIECE. Now, you have 5 champ pieces, AND you got to pick the pieces you wanted/needed. A big improvement to the system.... imo.

  9. What, you mean the new system will give him what he needs... you know - commendations, blah, blah, blah..... You could have went 53/53 and outfitted all of your companions in all Champ armor AND STILL NOT GET YOUR GLOVES!!!! RNG ftw! Under the new system - YOU CAN GET YOUR GLOVES!!! Consider yourself lucky to only be missing gloves after 30 bags. I am probably in the ~75 range and still missing 4 pieces, including main wep. Instead of wining and crying, I am getting bags and comms to FINALLY get the items! YAY!!! Many others have opened more and gotten less.

  12. Something happened at some point today to break Ilum. I have 145/150, others are at 0/150. I got my kills this morning before it stopped. I have logged off/on a couple times for rl stuff. I have done PvE quests, wz's and then went back to a pretty much empty Ilum and joined a 12 man OPS group. Numerous kills later - NO ONE got credit. Same thing on the Imp side - they received no credits either. At minimum, I should have counted towards their tally as I have been off Ilum for HOURS and they didnt get credit. Now Ilum is empty except for those that dont know about the bug.... Oh, and my 1 wz win didn't count - time to play an alt.... lvl50 is broke atm
  13. The BM bags have not changed their drop rate for BM pieces and they will have 15 Champ Comm's per bag. So you should get enough comms for both your missing pieces in ~9 BM bags. I've said it above, but will repeat it here. Overall a good step in the right direction to fixing the system. The BM piece acquisition does need to be addressed still.
  14. Yes, you are misunderstanding the changes...... First off, you can buy Champ gear with tokens at valor rank 1, you do not have to wait to 60. Only Battlemaster bags/gear need Valor 60, NOT Champ or Cent. Now, say you save one weeks worth of bags with wz and Ilum + weeklies, you should have minimum of 22 Champ Bags to open when 1.1.2 goes live, this is what you'll get (an example only as everyone's rng is different ) assuming of course those bags have the new drops and not the old ones : You get lucky (or unlucky) and only 2 bag have a champ token - that leaves 20 bags that you open and get: 300 Centurion Tokens & 140 Champion Tokens You now have the 2 Champ token pieces + 2-4 additional Champ pieces (depending on items) + Enough Cent tokens to fill just about every other slot. Can this be skewed one way or another, sure, depending on luck, but within 2 weeks of casual play you should be able to obtain a full purple mix of T1 & T2 gear. With the addition of Champion Commendations to the bags, they have made this system better to get the needed gear. Is it perfect no, is it better, imho - Yes. I am not addressing the 60 valor gear and the drop rates with this post - but showing that a new 50 within a week or 2 can purple out - which is faster than the old system. Are some Cent pieces worse than crafted, absolutely... BUT that is for a different thread, NOT a token drop rate thread
  15. As stated above, yes there is still a chance at a token, albeit a lower chance -BUT- the bags will now contain 7 Champion commendations (if there is no token) making it easier to get the piece that you actually want or need.
  16. You must have missed this post below and the 22 quoted posts after it... Seriously?!?! It took almost 30 hours to find out that Champion Bags now drop Champion Commendations? This would have alleviated 95% of the angst in this thread and others. As has been stated above by others - I wish this had been in place a long time ago as it's a MUCH better system than current. At 2.5-3 Champ bags a day +6 weekly bags, many people would have already gotten those elusive 1 or 2 missing pieces. Thanks for the feedback, we/I really appreciate it, but it really would have helped to have this info from the beginning.
  17. And a Commando that can do this - can't heal for crap.... A full spec healer can pretty much sit 1v1 and keep himself healed forever with proper ammo management, but while he's healing your damage he can't hit you hard enough to kill you. A full spec dps'er can pump out a good deal of damage but can only throw a couple heals before he is out of ammo (the skills needed for ammo mngmt are too far up the CM tree) A Commando CAN'T do both of what is being said here, they can't get the 5K crits and the 3K non stop heals. Interrupt us, los us - pretty much the same thing that everyone else has to do to counter a class they have problems with. And to the OP - stop saying you are not calling for a nerf. Your last sentence says exactly that!

  19. This +1 I end up healing FP's and Heroics and I'm not too keen on always respeccing, so I run around as a Combat Medic dps'ing and healing as I go. May not be min/max but I don't die and things go down fast enough for me.

  21. You are correct. You need 31 points to get the top tier for any tree. You would need 11 to get the 3rd tier for a second tree. Not enough points there.....

  24. I for one am a happy camper that he uses aim My main is a Commando with armormech, so I can fully gear him up through all levels Not true for all classes, my Trooper companions get all my hand me downs, heavy with aim....
